I may be missing something, but how can I remove threading completely from Thunderbird or how can I download an older version. I"ve searched for 102.15, but cannot find a way to download it. I really prefer NOT to use another email client. I've always used Thunderbird, but I cannot tolerate this threading thing and I can't seem to disable it.

Scheduled send is a prominent feature of nearly every online email client. I don't understand why Thunderbird, the most fully featured desktop email client doesn't offer scheduled send and has to rely on a third party add on to offer this feature? Thanks for your help!

I have the latest TB 115.4.1 - OSX I select multiple messages in my inbox and hit delete key, only one message is deleted. not the others Same with the contextual menu > Delete selected message

Can you set up an email address to receive only/block sending from it? I have two addresses defined in Thunderbird and if I don't check, it occasionally picks up the one I don't want to send from.

With Thunderbird 115.4.2., the program no longer permits a compact density for the folder tree if you also need or prefer a more spacious ("default") setting for the emessage list and contents.

These spacing preferences should be separated...because the folder tree view does not change from minute to minute, so it does not need to be seen and studied as often. BUT the message list is constantly changing so users always need to at it more closely and frequently as messages are constantly arriving.

  So more space more is more important for the message list than it is for the folder tree view.  And if you have many folders, as I do, you may want a more compact view of the folder tree to reduce need for constant scrolling....even though you may want--or need--an easy  to skim and see view of the message list, as I do. 

After the redesign in the current version 115.4.25, it has now become either all too small, or all too spacious, but no longer possible to have a compact tree view for the folders and a more spacious or default view fpr the message list and contents.

Can you please separate the density setting for the folder tree from the setting for the message list, or otherwise permit a setting that looks like "compact" for the folder tree list displayed at left, but also permits a more spacious, or "default" spacing for the message list when displayed horizontally above the message content?

I would like to change the font size of the entries in my Messages pane. Changing it with View>Font Size changes everything, and this uses way too much space in the Folder and Message Detail panes. If you compare the defaults prior to the latest update to what 115.4.1 has you will see what I mean. Tried to find something in ConfigEditor but didn't see anything. Thanks

I used to be able to see the number/count of new messages and old messages in all of my message folders. There seems to have been an update, and all of my numbers are missing. Can you tell me how to fix this please.

Supernova 115 - I prefer the Quick Filter Search box (Ctrl+Shift+K) than the Global Search box (Ctrl+K) because it is easy to find messages.

Can anyone help to replace the Global Search box (Ctrl+K) by Quick Filter Search box (Ctrl+Shift+K) on mail Toolbar.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.4.2 (64 bit) Following the recent update, the Write icon has vanished. I can see it in Customise -Toolbars but can't do anything about it. I know there is a keyboard shortcut to get this done but I want my icon back please! Many thanks Howard

I am missing my top customizable toolbar, the spaces toolbar and a toolbar which is added through an installed add-on (QuickFolders). I thought it might be solved by clicking on 'customize' in the view toolbar menu, but the button is greyed out and does not respond.

I've been working with the QuickFolders add-on author and he is stumped so I'm thinking it may be a Thunderbird issue. I am running TB 115.4.2 on Windows 11.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years, and really like it - until two recent updates (sorry!). I am running Ubuntu 22.04, and Thunderbird 115.4.1. One now has a column taken on the left which is unnecessary, and a section at the top which is above the menus with e.g. File... but I would like my File menu at the top, as it used to be. The second issue is more frustrating - the search facility, where one can find the emails being sought, allows me to search by many options, and I was able to display the results sorted by subject, size or my normal was by date, but I never use the message threads as that is rarely of interest, and I can sort on that using the message subject if needed. Now, when I search the results are ONLY in the message threads, and if I try to sort by date, I lose all information, and the ONLY option is to see the messages by thread which is no use to me! How can I restore good old Thunderbird - the version I enjoy using (or have the functionality I had restored)?! Many thanks,

It is the only feature holding me back. I use outlook for Windows and I am able to sort my contacts by categories. In addition, I use a syncing software called Companion Link/Deja Office which syncs those contacts with those categories on either my iPhone or Android. This allows me to focus on targeting specific people for either personal or business use. Your software has that feature for calendar items. Why not integrate that same feature for the contacts which has a higher degree of importance. I see that a multitude of people have asked for quite some time already even offering to donate money if implemented.

Using Gmail Account we have the a) Inbox and b) All Mail.

If any unread email it shows the number of unread emails next to the inbox but NOT next to in All mail. In Thunderbird it shows the number of unread message next to Inbox and All email.

how can we replicate so it behaves like Gmail - so it does not show the unread message next to All Mail

I would like to change the density for the messages list (thread row) and provide a custom value there. e.g. 40px;

In many places, people are showing a solution such as:

But it doesn't work properly. When there are a lot of messages and you start scrolling, then the scroll stops working properly, you can't select messages, the whole thing goes crazy. This is the case on Windows, perhaps on Linux there is not this problem (I do not know).

I tried to use `line-height` instead of `height`, unfortunately the problem still occurs.

My Vision is getting worse and I can't read small print any more. I need detailed instructions that someone who can see the fine print can use to help me make the font bigger. I just wish it was as easy as it was in my browser..

When I'm sending mails through gmail - they are sent as seen. When I'm sending mails through Thunderbird - it's changing them after I click send. If I want my line to be broken - I'll break it myself. I don't want my emails to be narrow as Italian streets. Especially not silently in background, and I get to know this when someone replies with quote or I check sent mails manually.

There are guides for previous thunderbird versions, but not for Supernova.
