I-Thunderbird Isithangami Sokwesekwa

when I try to start Thunderbird, I get a window that says "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now?. I've rebooted several times now, scanned with PC Matic, rebooted again, tried to uninstall in Control Panel, and get the same window. How do I fix this?

Thunderbird always turns off the print server every time it is started. I am running version 115.7.0 on a Win 11 OS. This problem began when I last updated Thunderbird (I think?) Jim Teague

New computer since a week ago. Thunderbird was fully functional the first days. Not using the computer for last 3 days.

Now is the internet connection in Thunderbird only works in troubleshoot mode

How can i detect the the reason for the problem. Even the check for Update in The About fails with connection times out. Can´t access any of may mail accounts all fails. Unblocked Thunderbird in Firewall and Virus Running Windows 11 with latest updates. Thunderbird version 115.10.2 (64-bit)

I want to change the styles, I know how to change teh default typeface but where are the Para styles hiding? And does anyone know of a style management add-on?

I recently installed Thunderbird (115.10.1) onto my Mac (Sonoma 14.4).

After lots of manual housekeeping and deleting/filing hundreds of emails that had appeared in my inbox (that had previously been moved into other mailboxes or deleted) I have got my inbox down to a manageable size.

But now four of the emails in my Gmail webmail inbox are not showing in my Thunderbird inbox.

I have run a repair on the folder (Thunderbird inbox) but the discrepancy remains.

How can I make sure they synchronise correctly?

Also: I have 4 old drafts in my Gmail webmail drafts which are not showing in my Thunderbird drafts folder. I created a new draft email in Thunderbird and it is not showing up in my Gmail webmail. I have tried to point Thunderbird to my Gmail drafts folder in account settings selecting: copies and folders/drafts and templates/other/drafts on [myemailaddress] but it does not seem to make any difference.

I can no longer move an email from unified to a specific folder without it bouncing back. If move it to a folder it appears there and If I then delete it from unified, it deletes the email in the folder. Only just started happening. What I want is to be able to move the email to a folder, in order to keep the amount of emails in unified to a manageable level.

With the moving of Cox emails to Yahoo would it be feasible for Thunderbird to put an instruction list(with screenshots) of how to get all our TB email accounts from Cox to TB? Do we have to delete all our TB email accounts and re-enter them into TB under the new Yahoo or can we just change the server settings on the existing Cox settings? If just changing server settings what are the settings for the new yahoo? All my accounts are IMAP so if instructions could be made, maybe one for IMAP and one for POP for those who use either. I have three different computers that I can use Thunderbird to access my hotmail account. All three computers can have the exact same server settings. One computer refuses to send emails unless I cancel the send and immediately resend.. Thunderbird ver 115.10.1 (64-bit) Windows 10 Home Ver 22H2 IMAP Mail Server outlook.office365.com Port 993 Connection Security SSL/TLS Authentication 0Auth2 Outgoing SMTP Server smtp.office365.com Port 587 Connection Security STARTTLS 0Auth2 Take Note All three machines can have identical settings listed above or various changes like Normal Password instead of 0Auth2 and/or an Outgoing server can be smtp-mail.outlook.com with normal password or 0Auth2... One computer must be cancelled will sending and when resent, it goes... no problem...immediately. If I don't cancel and wait, for it to send on the 1st attempt, it will eventually timeout on the outgoing server. Then I might have to reenter a password. Very annoying. I have been doing this for years. It is my workaround....

I used to be able to select a range of e mails using the cursor to select the first e mail and then press shift key and the last email with the cursor to select the range of e mailsin my inbox to delete them. I could use the delete key, the button in Thunderbird or right click to bring up some functiosn such as delete selected messages. When I do this now the messages, which are normally unread, show as read but have not been deleted. I try again with the now read messages but they still will not delete. Its fustrating

I have had Thunderbird email account for years and now I have problems getting my emails to come through on a regular basis. I have to shut down my PC and then restart to get emails to come through. What is the problem. Thanks, James Craig Herring

The font size for the whole display is far too small. Also the viewing panel for each email is far too narrow but the text when writing emails is huge. Should I go back to an earlier version?

When TB starts up, the only folders I can see are Recent. I can go to View/Folders and click ALL, and as soon as I move the mouse away from that menu item, it switches back to Recent. This started on version 115.09, but persists after I've "upgraded" to 115.10.1.

It has now (5/3/24 17:25 CDT) been 2-1/2 days since I submitted this problem, and no one has responded that it has even been noticed, much less solved. One of my two email accounts is a POP3, and the other is IMAP. The IMAP account Inbox doesn't even show up on the TB home screen. (If that info is of any help).

PLEASE ADVISE. My emails are an integral part of my business, and I cannot get to almost any them.

I use Thunderbird to manage my single email account. It is not a gmail account. I have received emails from others with a gmail accout, but my replies are not received by them. New emails from me to a gmail account are similarly not received. Any ideas on how to configure Thunderbird to handle this problem?

Over the last few weeks, emails have vanished from my inbox, as well as trash, templates and other mail boxes. In may cases, no emails are being displayed, when "total message count" shows messages are present. In other cases, several days of recent messages have disappeared.

I have tried "repair folders," deleting "smart mailboxes' and even deleting the .mlf file of one inbox without success.

I have 6 email accounts including 2 GMail. The problem is in all of them. As the screenshot shows, there is a disparity between total messages and displayed messages in all boxes (partial view of accounts).

I sent an email with multiple BCCs and no CCs or TOs, I put myself as one of the BCCs.

I did not receive it and I do not think anybody else did as well since I asked a few people.

The email is in the sent folder. I tried forwarding the email from my sent folder to myself as CC, and that worked. I also tried fowarding as BCC, and that worked.

So what is going on? Is BCC working? How can I know for certain? Do I need to foward the email as BCCs to all my BCCs to get this to work?

Cox has recently given their email to yahoo. While the cox.net email works on yahoo mail when I tried to configure my cox.net email address on tbird mail it failed Will my cox.net email address once again work on tbird mail Thank you

I have just set up a new Linux Mint desktop and configured TB for my btinternet email account.

Looking at the address book, all the contacts that have appeared in it, contain "TimeStamp+a series of numbers" before the @ sign of every address.

In the btinternet account contacts, the addresses are as you would expect them to be, without the extra timestamp+number.

Is there a way of getting rid of that, or do I have to edit every address?
