Hi, Up to previous version (TB 101), I could send emails to any group from my MacOSX contact list which appeared in send field and I used this all the time to select mailing lists. Now the send to a group fills automatically like before, but sending fails with message "groupname <grouname> is not a valid address" Maybe, if it cannot be fixed soon, and the new address book does not feature MacOSX group sending I wsih to get back to previous version of TB where it worked fine. My installation was updated as of 11/17 to ver 102.5 but the update message completed on 11/19 since I have automatic background installation set for my option.

I currently am not able to download any messages from my provider to the any of the 3 inboxes set up under the installation. The get messages button does not do anything. My provider has a POP server and I am unable to send any mail outbound either; the message is that the SMTP server is unavailable or not accepting connections at this time.

Tech Support from the provider denies any server problems and in fact, in using a web browser connection to the mail server, all the incoming mail is visible and can be accessed.

Any ideas on what fixes I can make to restore the ability to see current mail in TBird??

I KEEP TRYING TO GO INTO MY E-MAIL AN IT WILL NOT LET ME. IT KEEPS COMING UP SAYING NOT RESPONDING. I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. THE LAST DAY I WAS SENT ANYTHING WAS 11/25/2022. After changing my password I get the following error message: "Server imap.pt.lu has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem" Thunderbird is running well on my mobile, so why not on my PC? I have tried these things: Internet connection is working (as you can see from this mail) I have checked server settings, they seem okay. I have deinstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. All to no avail. Can you help me?

What can I do?

When trying to sign messages with thunderbir on debian mails won't deliver.

If they are not signed, it will send smoothly even if they are encrypted.

I recently installed Ubuntu 22.04 and now the address book crashes when I attempt to use it to create an email; thunderbird freezes and give me the window stating 'not responding' and if want to force quit or wait. I end up having to force quit. But I use my address book's saved lists for a number of emails, and now this is not working. How can I fix it? I would need detailed steps, as I am not anything but a general user. Thanks.
