I-Thunderbird Isithangami Sokwesekwa

When sending an email using Thunderbird application it does not send and always require to have a password. I am using verizon.net email and used an app password to send an email. The app password is somehow not save or stick on the Thunderbird server settings. Did multiple app password already before I was able to send it. Are you having an outage or an update with regards to the Thunderbird application?

I have been receiving emails and newsletters from a number of companies for many years. Suddenly last December many stopped coming. I have been in touch with one in particular and I am still on their mailing list. I am unable to find anywhere I can check. And before anyone says check your Junk folder. I do that every day. It has gotten to the point where I will have to stop using Thunderbird. Where can I look to find out what is wrong.

I have searched through forums and youtube. I can not locate an "options" or "security" tab anywhere in the menu structure. I want to change my email password to enable incoming and outgoing emails. My account is already established, I only want to change the password so Thunderbird can get and send from my email account.

I have used Thunderbird for some years with no problems, but today it has completely disappeared. The icons have gone, it is no longer listed under programs/applications, everything has just vanished. I have tried to locate Thunderbird profile folder but can't find that either. I use Windows 10 and have not had an update in the past few days. I also use Firefox and that is still fine.

I'm not a techie so don't know what else to try. I'm reluctant to install Thunderbird again because if possible I would like to recover my emails. Also, much as I like using it, there's no point if it's not reliable. I would be very grateful for your help and advice.

The last version of Thunderbird that I downloaded and installed was V91.0.2 in 2021. When I installed this latest upgrade my email was totally screwed up. I lost my address book and everything else. Support finally gave up I guess because they quit replying to my posts. I have been just using GMail as my email host. I think I would like to try to be able to use Thunderbird again but, I assume it would require a totally new install and I have no idea where to start. I am not a computer guru so would need my hand held to do this. Thank you

My email from cox.net was just moved to yahoo mail. I still have my @cox.net email. I change the server name to imap.mail.yahoo.com, port 993, SSL/TLS, normal password, and the SMTP server to smtp.mail.yahoo.com, Port 465.

I cannot download any new emails. Help!

When I open a message in my TB 115 Inbox, and wish to zoom in or out on the message using the keyboard commands for Zoom (Command+Plus, Command-Minus, Command-0), nothing happens.

I am running TB 115.3.1. My OS is Mac OS Monterey, 12.7.3

I have restarted TB 115 in Troubleshoot Mode, and the shortcuts still do not work. I have manually disabled all add-ons, and this has made no difference, either.

The only thing that works for zooming in or out on an email is to first use the drop-down menu for View -> Zoom. Then the Zoom keyboard shortcuts do work for that specific email. With each different email, the keyboard shortcuts for Zoom do not work, unless I first use the drop-down menu commands.

How do I get the keyboard shortcuts for Zoom to work without having to first use the drop-down menu?

I believe that TBird in the past would show the count of the selected messages in the bar at the bottom. For example if I selected 10 messages in a folder for deletion it would show at the bottom how many were selected. If I selected a thousand it would show that number, and then when I hit delete it would show a progress of x number deleted of so many selected.

Now it no longer shows the number selected and during the delete process only occasionally flashes the x number deleted of the number selected.

I believe this is a bug in 115.11.1 It is occurring on two different PCs both running Win 10 Pro.

I've gotten help on this - extremely technical, but can consider my initial plea Solved. HOWEVER, can anybody explain how I have used a docx file for years as Chosen for my email signature, and since about May 24, 2024, it disappeared. Trying to put it back (Choose it again, check the box), it brings code.

Did my newest Thunderbird version change this????

The email address that I have used ever since email began has been [edited] @qis.net. Unfortunately, the inbox storage space on Quantum Internet Service (QIS) is only 1GB. I use Thunderbird for emails (recommended by QIS). The account with QIS is an IMAP account.

Yesterday at 4:40pm my inbox became full even though I have moved a bunch of the emails with larger attachments to offline folders within Thunderbird. That's when the nightmare started. No incoming emails can get delivered at this time. Have been in contact with QIS (I personally know everyone there including the owners. They're good people) It seems that we do not have a way to get into the inbox and remove files from their server (s).

After working all night trying to sole this mess, I have set up a new email address to maintain a form of communications on a major engineering project.

The new email address for me should be changed to : [edited] @gmail.com

Please make this change at Firefox. When I try to login on Firefox, it sends a code to the old, non-usable email address. Since the inbox at QIS is full, I can't read it to get the code to respond. If the code can be sent SMS to my cell phone, that would be fine. [removed phone# from public support forum] is the number to use.

I hope all this makes some sense at your end. I am not a guru with this stuff and a very dear friend of mine who was an "IT guru", as I called him, has passed away about 1 year ago.

I appreciate any help you give.

All I get now in my emails are links to the mesages received. This has changed suddenly within the past few weeks. If this can't be staraightened out I will change to another email provider.k

I can not get emails anymore. They just suddenly stopped coming in. I can go to my ISP’s website and see my emails but can not get on Thunderbird. I suppose there is a problem with my account configuration but I don’t know what. Any idea what settings to check?

Since yesterday I am unable to receive mail. When I send a test email the message below comes up. Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent...

I have searched, read and tried all fixes on this topic already provided but nothing has worked.
