By default, pages are in mobile view mode. The desktop mode button doesn't apply to all pages and it is not permanent.

Can you please move this to settings with a permanent desktop mode on/off switch that applies to ALL & future pages?

Been two years or more since this was aked it seems.... How to get bookmarks to save and display (and bookmarks bar to show) in Android version (i.e. had there been updates such to make it work)?

How do I synch Collections between all my mobile android devices? [I'm not using desktop now.] I have different Collections on each of my 2 tablets and my mobile phone. I would like to aggregate them unless there's a limit to how many Collections are allowed on a device's Firefox Homepage. thx!

When Adding a Shortcut to the Android Home Screen, it allows you with a pop-up option to Rename the Shortcut before placing it on your Home Screen.

However, when attempting to Install a Progressive Web App (from compatible Web App web sites), and clicking Install, it does NOT give you the opportunity to Rename the Shortcut.

In contrast, Chrome/Android allows the name change in both cases (non-Web App and Web App sites).

Is this feature in the works on FireFox Android?

Is there a work-around to Rename Shortcuts either before or after placing them on the Home Screen ?

Hey I'm using FF for android (v103) I know I can set FF to open links in external apps or to open links in FF. The problem starts when I want to open some links in FF and some in the external app.

For example: I like the way YouTube is played in FF and want YouTube links to stay in FF, while messanger.com links don't work at all in FF and I want to open them in messanger app.

Can I configure this to happen automatically? Choose which links opened externally and which not?

Hi there, Firefox on Android is unable to show a progress on files that is currently being downloaded. It does, show notification, and I can pause and cancel it from there, but the details are unknown, the progress bar doesn't tell how much bytes has been downloaded and when i press pause and resume, the state is horribly unknown, the progress becomes 0%, etc. What I want is that Downloads menu in three-dots menu must show this too, not only the files that has been downloaded.

How do I hack Firefox Mobile to set the "Desktop Site" switch to automatically always be on? I would then turn it off manually for those few sites that I want to view the mobile version of?

As the title says, is it possible for reader view to follow the system's light/dark mode?

Currently, I can manually choose white on black, sepia, or black on white. That's great, though I'd prefer if the black/white or white/black would switch according to whether the system is in light or dark mode.

I am unable to find a way to remove a single unwanted URL from the suggestions list on Firefox for Android. If the website I want to go to (and that I go to regularly) is called abcxyz, and I went to website abcdef once, Firefox will always try to autocomplete the URL to abcdef even though I do not want to go there again. I have found instructions for how to accomplish this on PC, but they can't be followed on a mobile device. I have tried deleting the cookies, etc. for the unwanted website and removing it from my history, but without completely clearing out all browsing data for all websites (which I do not want to do), I haven't been able to figure out how to remove a single unwanted URL.

Currently there's no way to import/export bookmarks from/to file, while in the desktop version it always has been possible. It seems Mozilla does not want this basic feature in mobile app, why? Many users are asking this since forever! Thank you

I have an android tablet, which I use for browsing the internet but firefox always open the websites in mobile pages which is not useful and gives very bad experience

I hope that you can help me to make it always open in desktop mode

I use Firefox across all my devises, Desktop, Tablet & phone. I added Dashlane password manager as an addon to my desktop, years ago, at Firefox/Mozilla recommendation and love it. Recently I upgraded my Dashlane account to be able to sync across all my devises only to find I cannot ad Dashlane as an addon on Android devices. I read there is an upgrade in the works for Addons for Firefox on Android... 1. Will this allow me to add Dashlane? 2. If so when and how? 3. If not why, when it was recommended by you in the first place? As a long term user of Firefox/Mozilla I have often recommended using it, to many of my friends, but if the Addons are limited on Android it no longer seems to be a good recommendation. Even though I can still use Dashlane with a work around on Android I love the convenience of having the password manager as Addon on the Browser. If you have no plans to add Dashlane soon I will have to think about switching to a browser that does. 4. What are your plans going forward? Robert Beale
