I installed the "Google" app and the "Firefox" app. When I used the "Google" app to search for images, I found that I couldn't open the searched websites. I tried to use the Samsung browser or Chrome browser and did not have this problem. YouTube videos on Firefox Android Stable, Beta, and Nighty, experience significant frame drops when viewing "Stats" both on AVC1 and VP9, and on all resolutions. I checked about:config in both Beta and Nightly and HW acceleration was enabled. This was true for a FRESH install as well. I tried this on other devices and the problem persists. Mull, which is a fork of Fennec, plays the same videos without any problems. Other browsers are also fine.

Tested on Samsung S20 One UI 5.1 (Android 13). Tested on Samsung A13 One UI 5.0 (Android 13). Tested Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact (Android 10). Tested on Sony Xperia XZ1 (Android 9).

I noticed that on a regular basis, Firefox Android slows down dramatically after 1 or 2 hours of browsing. The only fix of the problem is to force stop the browser and launch it again. This happens consistently as well after disabling extentions. Firefox is updated to the latest version, 110.

Android has an option to clear a cache, but I don't know whether that is safe. Would prefer not to clear data if possible to avoid.

So I have installed Firefox on my Galaxy S20 Plus running Android 12. All permissions are granted and everything is working except the camera. When testing it with https://webcammictest.com/ it ask for permission to use the camera and mic. I of cause allow the use and afterwards it says: The device is not found.

I have tested the mic alone and it is working. The test site is also working in Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi and Brave. So chromium browser do not have any issue with the camera or mic. I have also tried other tests sites with the same result.

I first noticed it when I had to call my doctor which sent a link to a site with camera feedback on. I was surprised and stressed about it wasn't working. Having a doctor waiting and a sick child, while installing Chrome to get it working, was not a fun experience.
