I-Firefox ye-Android Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I'm having an issue with Firefox on Android. On certain websites (e.g., Yahoo News, Calscape.org, Google search results--with Goggle Search Fixer add-on enabled), I can scroll down the page without issue, but scrolling slowly back up toward the top of the page with downward drags of my finger is only responsive half of the time. That is, I can only scroll back up with every-other downward swipe/drag of my finger. This odd behavior does not happen with other mobile browsers (I'm on Android 13 and using a Galaxy A53 5G). Any suggestions?

On Android, 64 bit Firefox, the browser loses it memory of which tab is active when switching & positions the cursor to the top of all the tabs instead of the most recently active one.

When reading the site https://hellasjournal.com after a while Firefox freezes and crashes. It's not a site problem because with Chrome works fine.

Google pixel 7 pro, android 13 April patches, Gboard keyboard app, Firefox for Android 112 / 113 beta:

behaviour: 1) I open an app on Android (i.e. YouTube) 2) bring it to splitscreen and select Firefox as second app arranged below 3) in Firefox, I tap on the address bar 4) the keyboard appears from below, the upper app (YouTube) is halved in height (correct behaviour?) and type an URL in firefox' address bar, and press enter 4) the website loads, the keyboard slides down to be hidden again. 5) but there remains a black area at the bottom of the screen (about 1/6th of the screen height, but not as high as the keyboard was before) and the above app is still cut in half. Firefox itself looks okay and stays usable. 6) I can bring up the keyboard again by typing, the black area reappears if the keyboard is hidden again, upper app remains cut. 7) if I bring up the keyboard and then use the "hide keyboard arrow down button" in Gboard, the keyboard slides away and no black bar remains, upper app is fully visible, everything is right then. so the problem only happens if Firefox is inducing the hide keyboard command(?).

- checked with different upper apps (IMs, YouTube, ...) no difference in behaviour. - tried the same with Chrome and Vivaldi browsers as "lower apps" - auto-hiding the keyboard after typing works there as intended, no remaining black area, no cut upper app. tried with Firefox in non-splitscreen mode, it works as intended there.

I waited for several updates for Android, gboard and Firefox or Firefox beta, no change since like january.

any idea how to solve this? thanks Seb

I go to open up Netflix and says it's an insecure connection and then it starts rolling and press on the video and it says clear cache and doesn't work goes to error.

My mobile phone is OnePlus 8 Pro. ColorOS 13.0/Android 13. Firefox ver 111.1.1. My earphone is SONY WI-1000XM2.

When Youtube videos were playing in firefox Android, it always paused for a minute when following events happened:

• switch on/off my earphone
• end an incoming call

it seems Firefox takes long time to get back the audio output device. Chrome takes just one second to reconnect the audio device.

The text in the navigator looks like it is in morse, the lower part of any letter is chopped off. I'm using bluestacks but it was working fine untill very recently The thing is that i can see the UI and other apps like chrome just fine.

I have no idea what is happening... But after restarting, clearing my cache, making sure I have data and it is working for other apps... Still no results.

No matter what, whether I try to type in a URL, click on a link in the google app, or refresh a page I already have open, the app doesn't even attempt to load a page or throw up an error. Just a blank background, no loading bar, no error messages, and no redirects...

Hello. The issue is this: (1) I am unable to download pdfs via firefox(android), though the pdf file opens up in the browser itself instead of 'directly' being downloaded in the system. (2) Somehow you can still download the pdf by going to the menu and then to share option, and from thence you can select "save pdf" option– Your pdf is downloaded. Yet, if you open it in your system via any pdf veiwer app whatsoever, it would not open as it shows "decoding error". Kindly resolve this issue with immediate effect.

Hello, for the past month when watching youtube through the firefox app, I am unable to use the media output feature of my phone (galaxy S21 FE) to stop/play videos. So for e.g. I used to be able to minimise the browser and listen to the audio only output. But now the audio stops when I minimise. Other applications are able to trigger the media output so that's not a problem with my phone.

The pdf displays like trash, with letters all crammed together and overlapping (crappy kerning!).

I am on the latest Android firefox as of today (4/27/23).

Any ideas?

I am using firefox v112.1.0 on a pixel 4a 5g (Android 13).

Websites fail to load about 70% of the time (the progress bar just hangs indefinitely). This isue is present regardless of whether or not I have any extensions enabled.

If I press the "stop loading" button then "refresh" enough times, eventually I'll get lucky and the website will load.

Once a while Firefox would freeze up and when that happens it would without fail reboots the phone if the phone goes to sleep and if I don't force close the app quickly. It might've done so anyway without putting it to sleep but I haven't tested leaving the screen on long enough. I noticed that if I was quick enough and force stop the app the phone doesn't reboot, but that window is really short. Maybe 2 seconds or so. Suffice to say force stopping didn't always work since the window is so short. When Firefox freezes other apps and phone functions work normally. It's been ongoing for a while through multiple updates. I see some people have already reported this same issue here. Can Mozilla fix this please? I have uBlock origin addon installed thanks. Also this never happened with my Pixel 3 phone which I was using up until a few months back so maybe it's pixel 6a specific. Alot of people have this same issue with pxiel6a from googling. It can freeze on any site I visit but one example is reddit.

My phone is on Android 13 with the latest Firefox update. Under "Crashes" in Settings, there isn't much.

Hi I'm trying to use the internet via my panasonic viera smart TV. As my main pc will not come on. I have paid a small fortune to engineers who all blame the TV I agree with them but not totally ever since I bought this from Currys I've had problems l no one wants to help or the pass the blame to some one else I'm now ready to start to shout or even worse. Whilest using the Android Firefox app, suddenly all Videos except normal GIFs stopped playing and are instead eternally loading or showing a blank screen. This is the case for Youtube, Vimeo, Imgur and all other Platforms I found so far. By using the beta version of the app in the "about:config" menu I changed the setting "media.mediasource.vp9.enabled" to "true" which fixed it for Youtube, but other Videos on other sites are still not working. I also tried disabling all addons and doing a complete clean reinstall of the app, but this too had no effect.

Any ideas on how to fix are appreciated :) Thanks in advance
