Firefox android RAM memory usage gets sometimes high. I have no addons and only view tabs. Max RAM usage rises to 2 GB and my phone freezes. Opera always runs smoothly with no problems.

Hello all. I have a strange problem, sorry for the length. So I have a windows pc, and 2 android devices, a cell and a tablet. Sync has not really worked well for over 3 years, and I'm trying yet one more time to fix this. I honestly don't believe it can. Each device is pretty much on its own, so I do not see all of my articles/tabs on all 3. If you were to take a look at each, the tabs are all different. I've tried everything. So let me ask this: is there a way to manually do this? I guess I'll just have to do that. I've signed in and out on both android devices, hit the sync button on all 3, looked for updates on all 3, etc. My cell didn't even show up on my pc for 3 years. I don't want to mess with that one yet {cause it's windows}, I've gone into settings, tried what the articles suggest. Nothing. Weirdly, my bookmarks are fine {thank goodness}. Please help. A few weeks ago, I was having trouble logging into my Twitter account on Firefox (not on Edge). In an unrelated issue, I had to reformate my computer, and the problem went away. Today, Firefox updated itself, and the problem returned. I have it bookmarked as a pinned tab, and when I click on it, I get an error message, and it won't let me log in. However, if I right click on the same tab, and select "open in private window", it lets me log in, no issues. I don't really want to have a new window open though, and it worked after I reformatted, and before this update. I have done what previous people have suggested (clicking on the security icon to turn off security for that page), but it doesn't help. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks in advance...

This night be a question for Samsung.

I am testing some Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phones. I used Smart Switch to migrate from my S10 to a Flip 3. Firefox was entirely mirror copied. Even the phone name on Firefox was copied and it was logged into my Firefox account on the Flip 3. All open tabs were on the Flip 3, even inactive tabs. A mirror copy.

I did this again from the Flip 3 to a Flip 4. Same result. Then repeated that to another Flip 4, (being the same model I thought this would be no problem) but all I have is a fresh install of Firefox. Account login, tabs, nothing was copied. I've repeated this process using Smart Switch about 6 times now trying a few things like ensuring Firefox is removed on the destination, updating the destination OS etc.

Is there a better option? Is there something in a newer version of Firefox that prevents Smart Switch from copying the current cached files and this state?

When I browse outlook mail on compose, suddenly it appear very lagging, I not got a chance to write a letter or alphabet, very slowly to type and almos5 hang and consume much memory. This always happen. On other website or open inbox on outlooj mail still fine, but when you in compose page, you experience lagging, even you didnt do anything. Can you fix this?

I open Gmail links and Firefox opens then in a floating window in android tablet. How to fix this? This is really annoying. I've tried unchecking the Gmail open links in Gmail to speed up browsing setting but that didn't work. Firefox is my default browser . I'm on news Lenovo tablet. I installed Firefox and from Day one I have this problem even before changing any Firefox settings. When I change default browser to Google Chrome it works fine . Also on my Samsung phone the Gmail links open fine in Firefox. I'm only having this problem on my tablet. Can anyone please help?

video on websites dont play very smoothly. they are always choppy, and look like they are playing on a really low frame rate. the same os true for youtube, instagram where it is very laggy when any video is played. ps. im on android, cant seem to open about:config area

Whenever I select 'don't open in app' Firefox remembers this and never ever asks me if I want to open i app again. Selecting always open in app still doesn't open in app. I have reset Firefox and reinstalled it but that doesn't help.

I have been using the "install as app" feature in Firefox for Android for years. It is a great feature for appifying services that don't have a dedicated app and for getting around poorly implemented stand alone apps. Last night I tried to delete a redundant "app" icon from a web page that I made a shortcut for in Firefox. Apparently removing the shortcut icon via the normal Android UI also completely removed Firefox and all my other app shortcuts that I made in Firefox before. Please fix this bug ASAP if you are able, I understand it also may be an Android thing you can't fix. I have not recreated the bug because it is very annoying to have to reinstall and reconfigure Firefox.

Videos "stuttering"/ choppy but audio is fine. Tried watching in many sites but have the same problem. Videos is working fine in other browsers.

Hi, I can use firefox anymore, because it is not usable. If I switch between programs in Android, example firefox to mBanka, then back to Firefox, tab in Firefox will reload and cannot complete forms! All lines are clear. Next problem: If I reuse tab, I cannot load new page, I must close this tab and use new one.

Firefox for Android has issues playing back YouTube video through my car stereo and some other types of speakers. Specifically, it works fine with my headphones but not through my car.

Chrome, YouTube app, and other browsers don't have this issue and my car is fine otherwise. I've had this issue on 3 different phones from 2 different manufacturers on multiple versions of Firefox for years and the issue comes and goes with updates but it has been an issue for the past few months now, so I know it's Firefox and not Android or my phones.

I have the Goodreads app installed on my OnePlus 8 running Android 13.1. When I get emails from members who comment, instead of the app opening Firefox opens a tab after having cleared defaults. I have also selected the Ask When opening settings but nothing changes. Please explain how to fix this. Thanks

Two questions: 1. I have a 30 mega bite DSL internet connection, but when I watch some videos I get the whirling circle, sometimes another. Also while the video is paused/locked, it continues to run in the background, so I loose the video during that time. A work around used to be, use the forward or back buttons. This brings me to the second question. 2. What happened to the Forward and Back 10 or 15 seconds buttons or circles? They seem to have gone away recently.
