The picture-in-picture function no longer works on my phone when viewing YouTube videos on my Android Firefox app.
In previous versions, I was able to enter full-screen mode while playing a YouTube video, then click the "home" button on my phone, and the video would play in picture-in-picture mode while I scrolled through other apps.
I am fully updated as of today (4/11/2023), I have tried the functionality with no add-ons and with the "Video Background Player" add-on, and I have double-checked to make sure that the "picture-in-picture" permission is checked for the app (it is).
My device specs are attached in the image below.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Every time I open a video and Firefox the stupid media control opens on my phone and plays the video or music or whatever I clicked on in the background for eternity unless I pause it, but then after a few minutes it just starts playing on its own again. Why is there no option to disable or close the stupid player?
I close Firefox I end the process but yet the stupid sound keeps coming out of my phone even with the screen off all the apps closed.
The only option I have is to hide the media control which then plays the music with absolutely no way for me to stop it. If I click on settings from that window it brings me to a screen where both options are already disabled saying not to use it but it's still opening anyways.
I can only find remedies for Windows or Mac I have not come across any solution for Android. I basically have to restart my phone every time this happens in order to get it to stop.

Not sure what has happened but in the last 2-3 days I am no longer able to long press on an image or video in Firefox mobile browser to bring up options to save, share etc.
Happens on multiple websites including ones that worked previously, can't remember if Firefox updated in the last few days but the issue has only just started.
Have cleared cache, reinstalled, all permissions needed to save images/videos are allowed, but had no effect on this issue.

Hi. For the past few months I have been unable to play any samples from the Audible website in Firefox on my android phone. When I click the word "Sample" Audible opens up a new tab with their Web player and I always get an error message that is just a rectangular box with an exclamation mark inside a triangle on the left side of the box. (Screenshot attached.) There are no words inside the box and the only option is to close the tab. Since there is no actual message I'm not sure what the problem is.
Here's a link to the page visible in the screenshot: https://www.audible.co.uk/webplayer?asin=1445081911&contentDeliveryType=Unknown&isSample=true&ref_=a_pd_jpp_cloudplayer_1445081911&overrideLph=false&initialCPLaunch=true
Playing samples used to work fine when you could play them within their web page before Audible changed its system. I seem to be able to play samples on Audible's Web player in Chrome, but would prefer to keep Firefox as my default browser. I have tried deleting all history, cookies and cache; closing and reopening Firefox; turning phone off and starting again after an hour. I've also tried enabling autoplay, but that made no difference. I was thinking that the issue may be with my other settings within Firefox, but I can't tell. Any help you can provide would be great. Let me know if you need more info. Thank you!
(I'm in the UK. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I don't see a UK specific forum. Thanks.)

For the past few months, videos on YouTube haven't been playing properly. They load just fine and there's no issues with the auto, but once the video starts playing it will sometimes be zoomed into the top left corner, making it impossible to properly see what's going on.
This happens with music videos too, both official and lyrical. It will be zoomed in close to the top left corner and just barely catches what's going on in the video. Sometimes, video do play like they're supposed to, but for the most part, they'll be zoomed in as soon as I hit play.

I'm using a Huawei P20. I've been using FireFox for a long time mainly for accessing YouTube through the browser. After recent updates when I try to play a video it always appears to be really zoomed-in and completely unwatchable, decided to switch to WaterFox to resolve my issue, but after the last update WaterFox also has the same issue.
Can anyone provide some help with this issue?

audio stutters or more so swiftly cuts in and out.
Sometimes the video itself stutters/lags.
Taping the full screen icon puts the app in the background. Upon reopening it, the entire app looks like it's hanging off the side of the screen.
Example attached.
youtube swipe up fullscreen not working since today. Was working before. Im forced to press fullscreen button instead.

I've tried VR videos from Chrome Mobile and it works fine there. It also works fine on Firefox Desktop.
So, only Firefox Mobile is having issues with VR videos for some reason.

I'm having a problem with playing videos on websites. When I click the expand to full screen button about half the time the full screen video comes up for half a second and then the window shrinks down to a small square on the bottom right-hand corner of my screen. Sort of like when the youtube app minimizes a video. This window is unclickable and also everything at or below it in android is unclickable while it's there. If I click the window button on android and swipe the firefox app up to close it and restart it, Firefox doesn't even close and I can still hear sound from the video. I have to select on the Firefox app again which will restore the full window and then click the full screen button one more time and it will work. This issue is happening on every website I play video on on the Firefox app and it is extremely irritating. I'm about ready to switch to another app if this can't be solved, but Firefox is the only browser that allows ublock origin so I don't want to do that. Can anyone help?

Just updated to latest version of Firefox for Android (ver 113). When I try to watch a YouTube video in full screen, the app suddenly closes, as if I pressed the home button (note: I say "close" rather than "crash" because when I reopen it, all the pages are still loaded). This doesn't happen every time, but it is annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Video playback initially works, until suddenly it doesn't; no new videos will work, and videos that previously played in the same browsing session will stop working. Easy to reproduce on Reddit by browsing any video-heavy subreddit. Leaving a broken video in a tab seems to infect the rest of the browser across websites; if a broken video from site A is open in another tab, videos on site B won't play.
Sometimes quitting and restarting Firefox is enough to temporarily get video playback working again; sometimes I have to manually clear the browser cache; at least once I've had to reboot my phone.
