I-Firefox ye-Android Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I recently made the (apparently) foolish decision to allow Firefox to upgrade using the Play store App. This is on a Galaxy S8 running Android 9. Firefox 109.2.0 was installed and upon opening the App, all of my user data was gone. No tabs, bookmarks, saved passwords or other settings were available.

This is unacceptable. There appears to be no way to recover the lost information, but I am opening this case to determine if there is a recovery strategy. Of course, I don't really want to run version 109.2.0 and will revert back to something that works without losing data as soon as the missing data is recovered.

I'm not sure why the Firefox Devs seem to think that user data is a disposable and unimportant item, but I would encourage a full review of their processes to determine why they have failed so badly.

In the meantime, if anyone has a method that might be used to recover the old profile data, that would be very helpful.

Some notes: 1) No, I don't use Sync (or whatever they are calling it today) because it is a security risk in my view to have any third party including Mozilla know my bookmarks. 2) about:profiles does not work. 3) I'm not sure what version was installed earlier, but AdBlock Plus was working fine, so it may have been a year or more since my last update.

The problem that i am getting is that when i am downloading a file from the browser , it only shows on the screen notification panel but not in the 'downloads' section of the browser. And when i pause the download, even after having downloaded more than 50 percent it would completely disappear and then i find no option to resume the download.. This is a major issue kindly help me sort it out.

I couldnt see a way to download your browser for andriod with using googl. which sort of defeats the idea because I wanted to use firefx as an alternative and dont need a play account. is there a download link available? thanks.

Hello! I use this tab. Galaxy Tab A (2016), unfortunately it is not capable to safe files from Firefox, e.g. PDF files. Samsung browser is working but I like to use Firefox. Best regards Ted Ernhill

I always use Firefox mobile and Firefox Sync is always enabled.

My phone is dying and I need to rescue my Firefox browsing session : It contains thousands of tabs and collections of even more tabs (it built up because I never found a way to transfer these reliably).

A tab has a history, so back and forward pages, I need the full history of the tabs! Firefox Sync doesn't transfer these!

Firefox sync transferred 2300 tabs, but it seems that this set is incomplete as there is a large chunk of tabs missing, it's probably a thousand more. I restored these on Firefox desktop in a normal PC Firefox profile, they don't contain tab history as far as I can tell.

I also used collections in an attempt to synchronise better, there's over 800 tabs in there, I don't see these in Firefox Sync either.

Can Firefox Sync be archived/exported? I might not be able to replace the phone before my sync data disappears!

Please help me get to my data !

Because I want to use Firefox but unfortunately it is not possible to download it from a reliable source. Since my phone does not come with Google play services I have problems with getting Firefox in a secure way.

And I changed the Huawei appgallery to region China and could download Firefox ( is it the same like the European/us version)? And why is it not available in Germany?

Hi, Suddenly Firefox Android can no longer open the magnet links. I can download and open the torrent with the torrent agent and I can also use the magnet links on Chrome Android, but on Firefox Android it doesn't work. I don't get any error message, it just doesn't work. I also tried Firefox Nightly, but that didn't work either. Anyone has an idea how can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

I just update Firefox on my Samsung Tablet, and it was a terrible mistake. Not only did it lose all of my bookmarks, but now I can't open separate tabs. Yes, it SAYS it still allows tabs, but be real - if I can just click on it, it's not a 'tab' it's another window. I use tabs precisely because I don't want to spent my valuable time hunting for the window I need.

I tried several ways to downgrade, and none of them worked. Can someone please help me revert to the last version of Firefox that had real tabs, not this stupid 'Tab Tray'? I'm pretty sure the the book marks issue is hopeless, since I have no interest in syncing my computer and my tablet, but an suggestions on that would be welcome too.

For over a decade, mobile users have had no addons for browsers (including Firefox,) how much longer will this last? There are like 10 sponsored addons (out of 10 million for desktop) that install, the rest only let you download the .xpi file (with nowhere to put the file.) Where is the mobile Firefox extensions folder to put the .xpi files for mobile Firefox? I have been waiting for over a decade for such basic support, I am about to abandon Android forever.

I have been trying to re install Firefox on my Nokia android phone. I have tried many ways to do it but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone help me with this please?
