Firefox currently has 3 different versions for Android. 1. Firefox Nightly 2. firefox beta 3.Firefox

Both FF nightly and FF beta are test software and seem to duplicates. Why not just have one test browser?

As mentioned in [1], Firefox "Fennec" has reached "end of support" (Version 68.11.0 is the latest you can get). Its successor is Firefox Daylight (codename "Fenix"). But I can't find a place at Mozillas webservices, where I can download an APK to install Firefox Fenix on my Android mobile device.

Using Google Play is no option to me, since I want to run a privacy friendly mobile device without any Google services. Privacy is my main reason, why I would like to use Firefox on my mobile device.

@Mozilla: Please provide such an APK download location for Firefox Daylight (Fenix), as you did with Firefox Fennec!

There is already a discussion about this topic in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1293461, but this topic is about "Fennec APK download" and is marked as "solved", since a "Fennec APK downloads" had been provided. And there is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1293483, talking about "Fennec nightly APKs".

Using https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases to download APKs seems to be a bit unreliable, since not every build has attached APKs.

So I start this new question, in order to find a solution for Firefox Daylight (Fenix) APK downloads.

Thanks you!

Google Play has updated Firefox to a new version which doesn't work as well as the previous version I had:

Start Screen I no longer seem able to customise (or I cannot find the options to do so)

Tabs are remaining open when I close the browser despite previously being set to close

My adblock plugin is no longer working

How do I go back to the previous version? Download an earlier APK and manually install?

Mozilla quoted "Firefox has stopped development for Windows Mobile indefinitely. Thank you to our contributors for their continued support and feedback. The last release for Windows Mobile was 1.1 alpha 1 (download). We have stopped developing for Microsoft's mobile platform because Windows Phone 7 no longer allows developers to build C++ applications like Firefox, and Microsoft's new policies ban open-source software like Firefox from the Windows Phone Marketplace."

Will they now start to continue to support Windows Phone 8 because Windows Phone 8 now supports C++

To install Firefox on my phone I must first accept these permissions.

Hardware Control: Record audio:- Allow application to access the audio record path. Take pictures and video. Allow application to take pictures and video with the camera. This allows the application AT ANY TIME TO COLLECT IMAGES THE CAMERA IS SEEING.

I have stopped using Facebook Apps and many Google products because they what this sort of contol and basically I don't trust them. Why do so many apps need such spying power? and where can I download an old version of Firefox.android that pre dates this control freaky version? After all it used to work just fine without. Thanks Jonpon

I've had version 18 of Firefox for Android for a few months, but never really got around to updating it. Now when I go to the about firefox page and try to update it, it says there are no updates available. I know that Firefox 20 is already available (well it should be since the desktop version is). How come I can't update it?

Does Mozilla have an approved way of getting Firefox for Android users who have a build without the Play Store? For example, /e/ or other flavours of degoogled LineageOS?

Previously (for example, when this question was asked in 2017: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1164894) the APKs were available from mozilla.org.

However that no longer seems to be the case with v79 and higher releases. What's the recommended way for non-Play Store users to get the latest Firefox?
