I-Firefox iOS Isithangami Sokwesekwa

For the last month or so, every time I try to open a link in an E-mail and sometimes other links, Firefox puts up your little yellow header banner to tell me you have "prevented a pop-up" - these are not pop-ups, but links ! This is stopping me opening links to Facebook, Nextdoor and any other links sent in E-mails. Links in Al Jazeera, CNN, and BBC on line work just so you know the full picture. This is partly annoying, but more seriously I am still working, (SE) and it is only a matter of time before I have something serious that I will not be able to deal with if I can not open the link to it. Also, and it may or may not be connected, some time ago, back end of 23, before I became aware of the above problem, I started to be unable to preview PDF's before sending them. I just get a blank page. Not great when you consider that most of my invoices are sent electronically, but at least even tho' I can't see them, to check, they are getting to my customers. The link problem is of course the more annoying/serious one and definitely to do with Firefox, by your own admission of the yellow header notification. HELP. Oh ! my E-mail is goblander@hotmail.com, because if you reply here, and I get sent an E-mail........I wont be able to use the link, will I !! See the problem !

Since the latest update there are some - not all - websites that I receive the following error message when trying to play a video: The media could not be loaded either because the server or network failed.

I’m trying to use Firefox on my iPhone and I’d like the default search engine to be Firefox. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be already or an option. Can this be done?

Also, my default search engine keeps switching and I don’t want it too. Like I said above I’d like it to be Firefox but I can’t seem to get it to be ? And it switches to google so I removed it.

I have it set to Brave right now but when I search for things in regards to a keyboard logger and as I’m quite sure I have one on my phone. It will start and just not go through as if something is limiting its functionality.

Also when I try and do security check I get an error unable to gather home information. It usually says not able to stop sharing access to camera, microphone, location even though I have them turned off.

This also happens when I try and install a verification app to my accounts when I click to add it any other one that I don’t have will pop up. Then when I click to add on the App Store it reply’s I’m not connected to the internet when I am. How can I fix these issues and secure my device?

On an iPhone, Firefox stores your browsing history within the app’s local storage, which is not directly accessible due to iOS’s security restrictions.

However, you can only export your ~FUTURE~ local mobile browsing history by using Firefox Sync.

Firefox Sync does not work retroactively for local mobile browsing history from past sessions due to the way the synchronization process is structured.

TL;DR: I want to export my local mobile browsing history as .txt or .csv -- When you enable Firefox Sync, it starts syncing the data from that point forward. However, my pre-existing local mobile browsing history cannot be exported as a file such as bookmarks can, and it cannot be saved to my desktop via Firefox Sync for the reasons above. Thus, it is literally only possible to scroll over it and open the sites one-by-one in order to pop them into the Sync-able history, which I do not want to do using iOS automation...

Why does the app force me into a new tab every time I leave the app and come back!?! Even for a moment. It’s messed up two things I’ve been working on now. How do I set it to behave like a normal browser and open to the page I was on when I left..?

would like to raise my concern my curiosity regarding a recent issue I encountered. Specifically, I need to address how my IP details are being accessed, especially when using enhanced protection measures. Additionally, I am concerned about the privacy aspects of private browsing and whether unauthorized individuals can gain access to my user details legally.

Sorry, but this feature is a PITA. Is there a way to turn it off.

I've been a firefox user for > 15 years but I won't continue to be if I have to put up with this.

You should make it so you have to opt to turn in on.

Hi there, recently I wanted to open Firefox on an iPad that I did not use for a while but I was not able to access the tabs anymore. They seem to be inactive somehow. Turning the inactive tabs-setting off did not help in getting them active again. At the same time it seems to be a graphical issue that does not show the tabs as active. When being in overview mode I still acn see thumbnaisl of the webpages that have be opened before, biut I cannot access and use these pages when I click on that corresponding tab.

What can I do to gain access to my obviously opened tabs again? Thanks in advance!

Hi, all of my passwords and usernames have been deleted. When I go to the passwords section of my account all that is listed is the web addresses. The usernames and passwords are blank! HELP!

My passwords do not sync from windows. I have verified they are both connected but my ios never has my desktop passwords. I have verified connected the setting is checked to copy passwords i have hit the sync shile sitting at my desktop but the passwords never are on my phone.

Help me synch all passwords from Firefox on my MS Surface Pro to my new iphone 15promax. It was synching just fine with my iphone 13 but with new phone I am lost. I have selected the option to Sync passwords but it is not working.

I can’t find a password I just saved onto Firefox in Passwords . When I search for the site in Passwords it says there is no matching login and provides no password.

Sooo I had tens of tabs open, with intention to keep them - I couldn't find an option to save all of them, so decided to update the app, just in case FF caught up with some functionalities I've seen in my other browsers - bookmarking all tabs, namely.

After I've updated, all my open tabs are gone and "recently closed" is empty. There's no way to have the tabs back.

I don't expect there's a way to solve this problem, but I'm posting it here just in case, and at the same time marking my segue to Safari.

Firefox keeps opening up external apps when I do not want them to be opened. It opens the link in the browser AND in the app, which makes it insultingly frustrating when I eventually go to close the tabs in the browser because every time I try to close the tabs, the external app reopens!
