I-Firefox iOS Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Hi,

Recently, when I type in the URL bar, there is only 1 suggestion from my bookmarks. Before, there were several bookmarks that show.

I want the previous behavior back so that I only need to type a few characters and then choose one of the suggested bookmarks in the list of results. Now, I need to keep typing a lot more characters/words before the 1 bookmark I want shows up. Sometimes I can’t recall enough of the full URL so the bookmark I want never shows up.

This is a big downgrade in the user experience. Is there a setting to go back to the previous behavior?

in the bookmarks page on iOS devices, Why can't we swipe back to the previous state and we have to press the previous arrow, Is it an issue or just something else?

Would want to make this post along time ago but I thought users and developers would notice it.

I have Firefox on my desktop and iPad and both are synced. I love Firefox on my desktop but, honestly, I have to continue to use Safari on my Ipad because the iOS version of Firefox is nowhere near as good. One of my biggest obstacles to converting to Firefox on my iPad is trying to save bookmarks so I can access them on my desktop. When I bookmark a page on my iPad I cannot find it's location on my desktop. Can you please advise where Firefox places bookmarks that are saved on my iPad. Thanks

I finally decided to download Firefox for IOS on my Iphone. once it downloaded I told it to sync, including Bookmarks. When I select Bookmarks from the menu (hamburger) I only see the entries from my Bookmarks Toolbar. The vast majority of my Firefox Bookmarks are in my Bookmarks Menu. Did those not sync, or are they on my Iphone but for some reason they aren't being displayed? If it's important, my main computers are Windows based (one is an old Windows 7 running the latest IESR the other is Windows 11 running a current version of Firefox for Windows) If I'm looking in the right place, my Iphone has Firefox 124.2.

I would LOVE to see the option to either

• save bookmarks to the last selected location
• or to set a different default location than „mobile bookmarks“

The background d is that I usually never want to save to mobile bookmark folder, and almost exclusively use the bookmark bar or even a specific „sort“/„inbox“ folder in it.

Is there a way to achieve this on iOS already?

  For couple weeks , following any external link/reference, such as all 'unsubscribe' links from Apple Mail messages, Firefox opens but homepage rather than to the link/url argument (and url field shows blank, not display the extrrnal link's url address in url input box.
  Support history shows an identical problem in Ff ~117 reported (Aug '23, I think)   (if the condition of Firefox not currently running is same, which I haven't yet been able to determine) and apparently resolved then ( 2 replies, but thread is not visible because FF Support has it recorded as "Archived").

I have set up two bookmarks, both for the same financial institution, one for my wife, and one for myself. It appears that the system has copied the card numbers from the first one, and put them into the second one, so that we can only get access to her cards, not mine, no matter which bookmark we use.

I have a similar problem with saved passwords. They go into the directory with whatever name the organization uses, which isn't always useful. "login.live..." appears several times, and I have to sign in to each of them in turn, to find the one I need. How can I re-name them to something useful?

I find the process of adding bookmarks really difficult. I have a ton of them and I need to keep them organized, so I have to add them to the correct folder when I make them. So on mobile, I have to go to the menu, tap add, quickly tap the "edit" button before it goes away, navigate out of mobile bookmarks to desktop bookmarks, scroll past every single folder and subfolder I have (there are a lot) and finally get to save my bookmark. Then, when I find something else I want to remember in the same category, I have to do the same 6-step process because the browser doesn't automatically navigate to the last folder I saved to. If anyone knows of a way to make the process shorter I would be very grateful.

Help! I’m trying to access my saved articles in airplane mode while traveling. This used to be no problem but new app last year won’t let me. Tell me the secret of how to do it! Thanks.

Why is there no bookmarks toolbar for Firefox IOS? This makes the program useless to me. Is there any way to create and see bookmarks? None of the answers in the forums are of any help. What you tell me I should see I don’t see.

I’ve used Firefox for years because I support non-corporate efforts like this, but the lack of quick access to create and use bookmarks is a deal-breaker for me.

A virus warning kept appearing on my Firefox browser so I deleted the app and redownloaded it. I lost all my bookmarks and I know you have to have them somewhere please help

I hope there will be an update in which we get bookmarks on the top for ipad. just like on pc. it's definitely possible cause there is enough screen real estate. or make two bars or 3 on ios. I hope this is a feature that will be picked up and implemented one day. I fully switched to Firefox. Cause now it connects every search result to desktop. Also I like that it isn't chromium based

I am frustrated by the bookmark feature on the mobile app and am coming here to ask if I am missing something. My firefox account is synced across three devices (two desktop, one mobile). I want all of my bookmarks in one place, regardless of what device I save them on.

When I save a bookmark on mobile, it goes to Mobile Bookmarks — which, for me, is not where I want them to go. I then have trouble moving the bookmark. I can select the multi-step DESKTOP path but often the SAVE button does not appear and therefore I can not save it. If I keep closing and reopening, the save button sometimes appears. The attached two images shows: 1). landing spot for saved bookmarks on mobile 2) the lack of the "save" button to successfully move said bookmark.

Also, is it possible to make a mobile shortcut to all of my synced desktop bookmarks? Currently, the path is tedious to access. It involves: Hamburger button => Bookmarks => Desktop Bookmarks => these trio of options: Unsorted Bookmarks (unnecessary), Bookmarks Toolbar (the only one I want), Bookmarks Menu (unnecessary). I would like to go directly to the Bookmarks Toolbar from my mobile homepage. And if possible remove the cluttered/redundant options (re: Unsorted Bookmarks, Bookmarks Menu).
