I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

When I get a list of search results I often select more than one, and I do that by right-click and 'open in new tab'. This has stopped working all of a sudden. I can see Firefox opening a new tab, but it immediately closes it again. Opening in the same tab works fine but not a new tab. How do I fix this? Other than using a browser that doesn't fuck me around of course.

Prior to the last two <Firefox> updates (too many, too frequently!), no problem. Both keyboard and mouse were recognized. Since then, only the mouse, although everything's fine when I use Chrome.

Yes, I'm on the latest version, and have cleared caches and rebooted ... after every new version.

I synced forefox data with my email account and when I restore my phone and again sign in error coming ? I also did this on pc but no bookmarks that got synced came and all my storage sites passwords are gone!! what should I do now?

I've got a legacy transformer laptop with an integrated wacom-type sensor screen. Despite all shortcomings of it's age, the laptop's got class.

The main web browser installed is Firefox ESR. In tablet mode, control was handled by the Windows - mouse-like drag'n'drop, marking, but with added scrolling gesture by swinging quickly up and down. Using it in the tablet mode is actually very practical.

Recently, after updating from 91 to 101, browser started to interpret the pen as a finger, controls became clumsy and frustrating. The only way of turning finger gestures off, parameter gestures.enable_single_finger_input described in that question (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/973974) had no visible effect. Have fallen back to 91esr, but this is obviously just a temporary solution. Is there any way to add force-disable parameter or something?

Windows 8.1 would not load last Wednesday, so I "refreshed" it using F10; which stated all files and apps would be retained (what a lie.) Most apps were disabled, or removed, and needed to be re-loaded, as well as about 200 updates which needed to be downloaded, and still being downloaded. When re-loading Firefox my previous bookmarks were not retained, although I think may have located them via a Microsoft remedy (Firefox remedies have been fruitless.) They are not not the old Firefox folder (my most recent entry was 2019,) and not in the places Firefox has suggested looking. I will backup my current 5 days worth of bookmarks, when all of the downloads are current, and try to download the Microsoft suggestion. My question is; why are they NOT automatically saved? And if somebody has a remedy for me please send it as I will not do anything with my bookmarks for a few days.

Went to update to 105.0.1 on a windows 8.1 machine. Update failed, removed previous version and now will not even reinstall running the installer. Installer returns setup.exe Application error. unable to start correctly.

I have an issue related to copying the address from the website. When I try to copy the Location address from the webpage [removed] it does not allow me to copy the address. I have tried many times but it does not allow me to copy the address.

MP4 videos fail to play with the following error messages:

1. No video with supported format and MIME type found.
2. Video can't be played because the file is corrupt.
3. NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_FATAL_ERR (0x806e0005)
4. Error no decoder found for audio/mp4a-latm

• issue began a 1-2 weeks ago
• issue does not exist on chrome browser
• MP4 videos can be downloaded and played successfully in applications other than firefox
• other video formats play successfully in firefox
• issue persists in troubleshoot mode
• issue persists with hardware acceleration on/off
• issue persists with tracking protection on/off
• media.mp4.enabled is set to true

It is hard to describe in nerd language what's happening, but I'll try in human language:

1. Firefox frequently takes forever to even begin loading websites! 2. After today's update (16-OCT-2022) search engine search fields won't accept any text! 3. Absolute slowness on Firefox, but when I try other browsers, the problem is not there.

For many years Firefox has been trouble. I keep on trying it and I end up dumping it.

Why can't Mozilla hire people who CAN do it?

I refreshed firefox and while refreshed it was saying browser history etc were backed up but when my tabs were restored my browser history and passwords were not appearing anymore.
