Dear support person,

When streaming video games on multiple platforms i use a dock from a website called social stream Ninja. This opens a browser page that shows chats from 3 platforms, Twitch, Youtube and Kick. I have a dual PC setup, so i game on the first PC with the second PC running the actual stream through a capture card.

When i go into SteamVR, i add a desktop panel with that exact dock/webpage on firefox, but the page "pauses" and chat doesn't update anymore. I thought this was a focus issue, so i tried this plugin = Always active Window - Always Visible

Sadly FireFox still doesn't update the page, therefore stream chat doesn't show up, the page pauses. A sort of work-around is running the game in borderless window, but this is VR, and eats up quite the bit of performance, fullscreen is preferred. The borderless window works on Assetto Corsa VR, but on Dirt Rally 2 VR it doesn't, so I really need FireFox to update the page in the background.

I've been tearing my hair out trying to find a solution, the 'focus' plugin was my best idea.

Any chance you could help me?

Kind Regards,

Carlo

In the last 2 weeks you tube or yahoo on firefox either times out or drops about 30 minutes in but when I use you tube or yahoo on Google I don't have this problem. Is there a problem with an extension or security issue that would cause this? Did an update cause this? It's frustrating. It's been happening to my husband on his desktop also. It will tell us we're not connected but when I go the the router it shows connected. I have to exit out of the browser and reload and everything is fine for about 30 minutes and then I have to exit and reload which requires me to sign in again. Just wondering if an update caused this.

Lost Bookmarks after Microsoft upgrade(?) Since I'm using the latest version of Windows I don't know what to call what happened that came by way of Microsoft. So far as I know, I'm the only one reporting this. It would seem that if this was a change initiated by Microsoft it should have affected millions of users.

A strange bug seems to have reappeared in Firefox 135.0.1 on Windows 11...

If I'm playing a YouTube video in the browser, and then reload the tab, the last fraction of a second of audio from the video will play on loop. It doesn't stop until new audio is sent to the WDM audio device (from any application).

The same thing can happen while seeking through a video. When the video playback resumes from the seek point, the new audio clears the stuck audio loop from the previous segment.

While I appreciate the unintentional tribute to Max Headroom, it does get a bit annoying.

Has anyone else encountered this?

dunno if this is the right board, but here goes...

I discovered a bug with Firefox and the pen/touchscreen on my lenovo X1 tablet.

Using the touchscreen, move the map, map works as it should. Can pinch to zoom, ect.

Switch to the pen, map works with pen.

Touch the screen again and Google maps doesn't respond to touchscreen anymore, only the pen, and refresh does not fix it. I have to close and re-open maps in a new tab.

In chrome, this does not happen. Only in Firefox.

After downloaded the app I changed a lot of settings, including checking the box to "open previous windows and tabs" on start in settings, however next time I opened the browser it didn't open my previous tabs and when I went to check the setting the box was unchecked and it won't allow me to check it. Why did this happen and how can I fix it? Note: IIRC, I changed all my settings and then created a Mozilla account and that is the only possible connection to this issue that I can think of.

I've been a Firefox user for at least 10 years. I recently installed Firefox on a new desktop PC, and the Firefox Privacy Notice tab popped up. "No worries," I thought, and read it and made my cookies choice. I didn't find anything about a separate "submit" or "Close" gadget, so I simply closed the tab. Now, every time I leave the Home page or open a new tab, the Firefox Privacy Notice keeps popping up. Please advise me how to close it for good.
