I am running Firefox 52.9.0 (32-bit), Win XP PRO SP3 on several computers and only my desktop has this problem.
Youtube videos embedded in other pages do not work and only blank space is displayed but if I go to Youtube the videos play correctly. This only happens in one computer. In other computers running same Firefox 52.9.0 (32-bit), Win XP PRO SP3 this problem does not happen.
I guess it might be some configuration problem.

I have been through numerous support pages and nothing helps, did a few about config changes as listed but still it appears. One post said it has always been there, I can assure you I never had this before and do not want it now. Is there any way to stop it please as I hate it even though just clicking removes it, I would prefer not to have it in the first place

The update today to 74 lost all my customized, userchrome.css stuff and the row of bookmarks that used to be at the top now go down the left size, or right side if I want, but I want it at the top. Userchrome does not seem to recognized either as I put what I had kept, back in the a chrome folder in the profile folder.

My Addons are working okay, however when I look at the about:addons page the list only shows blank spaces where addons should be, only a blue highlight shows if I click on each addon.
This is the same for my Plugins and Themes.
I have tried deleting some files in my profile as suggested by others on here with similar problems but none work.

It's really annoying trying to close a tab only to open a new one again because you middle clicked on the empty portion of the tab bar.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I use CustomCSSforFx https://github.com/Aris-t2/CustomCSSforFx/issues/211, to which I added
/* Hide Mobile Bookmarks on menus */
display: none !important;
}
But it doesn't work. Oddly, I have another, newer, profile, where the Mobile Bookmarks Folder isn't displayed, I don't know exactly what governs whether you see it or not, but the sync rules for my android (currently I have "nothing selected to synced from phone) my were established before the latest profile was created.
What I'd also like to get rid of, or "hide" are the "Other Bookmarks" folder, and the Bookmarks Toolbar" folder from the Bookmarks drop down menu. At worst, I'd like to be able to move them.

all i want is the userchrome.css to hide everything until i hover anywhere on the browser. not just when i hover the titlebar, as my code does now
#navigator-toolbox { position: relative; height: 20px; margin-bottom: 0px; opacity: .3; overflow: auto;
}
#navigator-toolbox:hover { height: auto; margin-bottom: 0px; opacity: 1; overflow: show;
}
if my mouse cursor is anywhere on the browser then i want nothing to be hidden. when my mouse cursor leaves firefox, then i want everything to be hidden.

Hello all,
I run a bunch of web applets locally on my computer for personal use only (http://localhost/...), and until recently I could successfully launch FF using window.open(...) with the new window NOT showing the address bar (because it takes space and looks ugly within the applet, so I want to avoid it at all cost).
I believe this changed with FF 76 (I now run v. 76.0.1 64-bit on a Windows10 based computer), anyway at this point it seems impossible to NOT have the address bar show up in a FF window. :-/
To be clear : I have searched for a solution in this forum and elsewhere, found the solution to another new problem with FF ("megabar"), also seen the trick to hide the url in the address bar - but this is not what I'm looking for : I just want to *get rid of the address bar*, period.
Thanxx in advance for any help with this issue (surprised noone else seems to complain about this). :)

After updating to Firefox 65 (Mac), there is now this enormous green drop-down that appears whenever I start typing in the address bar, and I cannot turn this thing off.
I've looked in Preferences > Privacy & Security > Address Bar, and all the selections there are unchecked. Search > Default Search Engine > Provide Search Selections is also unchecked.
Is there something in about:config I need to toggle? Or will I have to edit my userChrome.css to turn this off?
Thanks!

Managed to get Tabs on Bottom in all previous updates (including FF65). Carried over ToB with FF66.0.2 update, but the whole line of tabs (including vertical separators) has shifted down about 1/3 of its height such that it bleeds into the immediate viewable screen. If the top of that viewable screen is black, for example, the tab titles are almost unreadable. Any advice? Appreciated.

M computer (still running W7) auto-updated FF to version 73.0.1 and two things happened. First, the tabs now cover the navigation bar, and second, the "plus" sign to the right of the tabs disappeared so I can't go to my pinned tabs or add a new tab.
Any help will be appreciated. I do have a userChrome file, but it was a copy and paste and I don't know how to adjust it to correct these things. Or if there's something in about:config? I just don't know what I would try to change.
I've been trying to take a screenshot, but can only grab the webpage and not the "frame" so I can't demonstrate what I'm talking about, but basically the tabs are sitting right on top of the navigation toolbar, obscuring it.
Thank you all for your help.

Got updated to FF71 and my Tabs which I had moved under address bar got moved back above the address bar. (Had moved them under by creating userChrome.css file which no longer works) Is there anyway I can get the tabs again to display to under the address bar? It's just so confusing with the tabs on top. I appreciate any help!

Windows 10
Firefox 63
Sequence of steps to start Firefox 63:
(1) Click Mozilla Firefox icon on Taskbar. (2) Mozilla Firefox open (see Display 1 below). (3) Click Show history in Search Bar (see Display 2 below) and select website to visit.
The same default display (Display 1), and the same websites to visit (Display 2), are shown each time Firefox start (see Display 1 and 2 below).
To enable Firefox to show the same default display, the following settings are selected in "Open menue > Options" (see Settings 1 and 2 below).
Is it possible to create the same default display in Firefox 66 as shown in Firefox 63 screen shots below?
Prefer "Open menue > Options" in Firefox 63, which are similar/same as previous versions of Firefox for many years, and not those in Firefox 64, 65 and 66 which have changed.
Therefore, still using Firefox 63 and reluctant to update Firefox to latest version.

Since updating to Firefox 70, the tab bar is shown even if there is only one tab (it just shows the + button then). Previously, the bar was hidden if there was only one tab. This previous behavior may depend on some setting, but I don't remember if I changed any setting for that. Have *no* Add-ons installed that affect tab visibility.
How to restore the old behaviour that tab bar is hidden if there is only one tab?
