This is almost surely a "security" or "privacy" design, but it's an error. In Firefox - only (this works fine in Chrome) - if I open the LastPass Firefox Extension, find a Site, and Copy the password, then go directly to an open AnyDesk remote access connection, and Paste (or, lightning bolt menu, Insert from Clipboard), what gets pasted is a single wrong character, NOT the password that IS in the clipboard. (If I paste instead into e.g. a local Notepad window, the actual password gets pasted). I asked AnyDesk support about this, and they confirmed that it's something that Firefox is doing. It shouldn't. Copy is copy. Paste is paste. Why would Firefox do something so that copied text (which just happens to be a password from a password vault extension) pastes wrong when the destination just happens to be a remote desktop client (AnyDesk) to send the password through to complete a login at the remote end? Anyway, how to turn off this wrong behaviour? thank you. (Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, 23H2, Firefox current - 125.something today, but this has been going on for some weeks at least, AnyDesk version 8 current)

i am currently at a loss.

I have set up Passkeys for my google accounts. Now i have completely reinstalled my current pc and now there is no QR code showing when trying to log in.

I have another laptop where it will start completely normal. I can switch between a hardwarekey and another system (to show qr code)

Can you help me with this? I cant seem to understand why it is working on my laptop but not on my desktop. I just cant switch to log on with another device, now it is not even giving me the option to log on with a hardware key.

I would appreciate help.

Please someone help me with this. My primary email has been breeched and because I was honest with the service --instead of just saying I need help resetting my password. Thay are asking me to send them a copy of my drivers' license and a photo "selfie" of myself to recover my account.

This is where I draw the line -- all invasions of privacy we have learned to live with but not this -- I could give them the transaction ID from my last Payment from Paypal period -- but that was not good enough. If I was being deceitfull I could easily provide the crdentials they ask for and it could all be fake; so I told them to get lost as I was paying for the Premium service anyway. I can contintue to use that as my ID but sonner or later someone is going to want to send me a code there and I can't retrieve it. Tonight they did not ask so I was able to get in here.

Everybody has a place to change your password but few have a place to change your sign-in ID. If I can get back into Firefox with a new ID and set 2 step validation I shouls be okay as faras the average user gors. The other option that I know of is to stary a new Firefox account. I alread have a lot of people and business's that I have to get my new email to.

Firefox stop from 2 days ago read Google Recaptcha, from nothing.., Dev version to.. I have the last 126.0b8 and both not working, I try disable Tracking Protection and still, clean everything... spinning forever...

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I copied the URL but I don't want to post it here in case it could do something to someone else's system. But here is the screenshot. Please advise me what I need to do. Thank you! TGIF!

Until yesterday everything was fine. I was able to complete recaptcha. But when I tried searching something today, I couldn't do it because of the recaptcha. It was stuck on infinite loading. Every website I visited the problem was there. I tried fixing it from the tips I found in the forum here but nothing seems to work. I was frustrated. Then I tried Brave browser and it was working. Please help me fix this problem. Thank you.

When we log into our Yahoo email, there's a small triangle (see screen shot) next to the padlock on the address bar that says "connection not secure".

Not sure what to do to get rid of it.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

I am trying to force two or three websites to detect my timezone as UTC, even though my local system time is not UTC. I figured out how to do this with ALL sites by setting privacy.fingerprintingProtection to "true" and entering "+JSDateTimeUTC" in privacy.fingerprintingProtection.overrides in about:config.

Now according to docs, privacy.fingerprintingProtection.granularOverrides "can be used to add or remove features on a domain granular level if privacy.fingerprintingProtection is enabled," but I can't figure out how to get it working.

Any input is appreciated.

I tried to log in to my Firefox getting started page which used to just load. It now appears to need a log in which I try to do using my Gmail credentials. The password comes up as being incorrect which I know is not the case. If I try to change it I get as far as a Gmail code being sent to my account but when I enter that it says that is incorrect. I have not been able to load the getting started page since.

How to PROPERLY erase history? I mean, you erase HISTORY...click...there you go...?!?!?...but, what's happening? I erased HISTORY...ah, I erased it FROM the panel but, it WILL remained on the list that it shows on top of the icon (sic) ...someone suggested to go on the panel, select privacy, scroll to history, pass over "Never remember history...." (?) AND then you "click"... Clear...what is the point? clear means clear means clear from EVERYWHERE...sorry about the mess I wrote but I was frustrated

I use a personal firewall. Every unknown program that attempts to access the network triggers a popup message requesting permission.

Right after the installation, Firefox.exe initiated a message, stating the following path: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I granted access.

However, weeks after the installation, the updater.exe asked for permission, stating a very unusual path of itself. The path is "\device\harddiskvolume3\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Maintenance Service\update\updater.exe".

This seems unusual to me, since apps normally use 'C:\' to refer to harddiskdrive0. It is also suspect, since there are only two drives connected and the Disk Management tool (as an admin) indicates, that there are harddiskdrive0 and harddiskdrive1. There are no hard disk drives 2 or 3.

I also wondering about the fact, that the about firefox screen states, that firefox is up to date - even I did not granted access for the updater.exe in the past. There has never been a firwall rule to grant access for the updater.exe - how did it update in the past?

Does anybody have an idea what is happening?

My provider has deleted my email account without prior notification. I have no second email adress registered, and also no access to my old email adress.

How can I change my primary email adress now?

I heard that the newest version of Firefox (which I have not upgraded to yet) has a feature that makes it easier to accidentally visit a website whose URL is on the clipboard. I googled to find out how to disable it, and the Featured Snippet said "go to about:config and change clipboard.autocopy to false." Sounded simple, so I did it, but subsequently found out that the article it quotes from is 10 years of age!

My first question, then, is: what does changing "clipboard.autocopy" to false do if it doesn't turn off the brand-new feature?

The second question is, how do I disable the new URL Paste Suggestion feature? Will setting "clipboard.autocopy" disable it? In particular, I want to make sure that the browser does not pre-load or pre-fetch the clipboard URL, and in fact, I wish to pop up a dialog box any time I do "paste and go." People often copy URLs from e-mails to research them before visiting them directly; jumping directly will increase the likelihood of visiting an imposter site.

I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

I simply want to use a password to open Firefox. I don't want to set up Firefox sync. How can I set up a simple password as permission to open Firefox without accessing sync?

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?
