I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I'm running into a frequent problem. After using firefox for an amount of time, my bookmarks and history become "frozen".

The bookmark become kind of "read-only", I can't add, remove, or move any bookmarks at all.

As for history, pressing Ctrl-H still shows the links I visited, but all sites I visited after firefox "freezing" disappears once I restart the browser. All visited links don't change color to deep blue either.

As a result, I need to restart Firefox frequently. What is going on?

Pressing the "clear downloads button" does absolutely nothing. The list is now months long!! How do I clear this list? thnx

Mac 10.14.1 /Firefox 63.0.1 (64-bit)

Crashes on every shutdown of Firefox. Happens in safe mode and after refresh.

I continually backup my bookmarks since they have been lost far too many times. Mostly FF reverts to an older version - with no clear indication which one that will be. Since 12 March I have bookmarked several times but the system reverted to 12 March every time an update or similar occured. Checking the bookmarksbackup and bookmarks folders I find the newer sets of bookmarks have never been stored. So when I try to backup and check the folder the backup should be in (tried a variety of options just to see what happens) the file has NOT been written. I do not want to lose the current set and will therefore not force a new import by deleting locals.sqlite. So I need a fix to be able to store the bookmarks I have now. HTML does not work either, by the way.

I have Firefox 73.0 (64 bit) on Windows 7 and am moving to Windows 10 using Laplink (yeah, ok). Laplink does not seem to see this version of Firefox to transfer over. So, I used sync on the Win 7 unit for everything and downloaded Firefox 73.0 (64 bit) to the Win 10 unit, and then logged on and synced. Everything seemed to move over except the browsing history. How do I get browsing history to transfer to Windows 10? Thanks.

Hi everybody, I'm running Firefox 77.0 on my 2014 rMBP with OSX 10.11.6. A few hours ago my OS crashed and I reset my computer. Once I did this, I opened everything back as it was pre-crash and all my Firefox tabs and absolutely everything else loaded correctly except for my history.

Every time I type a word, no previously visited URLs will load up in my URL field, I checked my History and it seems to have deleted 99% of every site I've visited. The recently closed tabs and windows are still there, and I can reload them if I press cmd+shift+t, however the rest of my actual history seems to be gone. I've reset (normally) my computer a couple more times, repaired disk permissions and whatnot and for some reason it won't even save whatever other sites I've now visited since it was wiped. Am I screwed here?

I have had this problem for a few months now and eventually just stopped using Firefox. I had tried the various suggested fixes to no avail. - rebooted - tried running in safe mode with no antivirus programs - renamed the places.sqlite file - I deleted Firefox, downloaded and installed it again with no success. I am concerned that not everything was removed on the Windows 10 uninstall process. - Have checked my Antivirus (Bit defender) logs and don't see any Firefox files locked/etc by Bitdefender

I would appreciate any suggestions that you might have. Regards Bill

Don't know what I did, but my bookmarks seem to be gone. I went through one process as outlined here and was able to get them, but when I closed and re-opened firefox they were gone again. Help would be appreciated.

After today's update to the newest version of Firefox, my bookmarks and history are gone. I can't even ADD bookmarks! I looked for both through "Library," and nothing. Please help. Thanks in advance.

For the last week or so items in History are showing the Facebook icon, not their own, appropriate ones. This strikes me as creepy, wondering if Facebook is trying to meddle with browsing here. I've installed the Facebook Container add-on, but this has not had any effect. I have tried to upload a screenshot of this, but it just hangs.

Tutto ritorna ..ma perchè ???? le ho provate tutte .... la cartella utente è in un'altro disco . Disinstallato cancellato tutto , metto al suo post i 4 file con pasw eccc ...ma no serve nulla ???

I have no smartphone or other devices to sync but I have lost all the bookmarks that I had before this new version of firefox. How do I get my bookmarks back? I keep getting to a page that asks me to give my smartphone number, but I don't have a smartphone (or any phone). Can I go back to what I had before. I need those bookmarks.

In linux Centos7 I found that all my bookmarks disapeared. In about:support if I select verify integrity I get this-
