Please help!! I use windows 8.1. After using the recovery function to a previous backup Firefox icon looked like a blank page and when I tried to open I got an error message stating that I was attempting to use an older version of Firefox which could have a problem or a virus. There were two choices, one was to exit and the other was to create new profile. Clicking on the exit did not resolve anything so I clicked on create new profile. That resulted in a new install of Firefox. I now have lost all my saved bookmarks!! How can I get them back into the new install of Firefox? Thanks. .

I have so far submitted 36 crash reports and nothing happens. I have tried various suggestions and nothing works. The problem is very annoying as every time I type a a letter into the search bar, firefox crashes and asked to submit a crash report, which I did. I do like firefox but this is ridiculous. I went to a local website and ended up getting virus warnings, see photo. I doubt if it's real but I don't know how to get rid of the messages, or scan for the virus? I scanned with the Windows virus protection and the computer came back clean. I can and have turned the computer off and back on, no help.

I saw this same issue posted on here, but I press the shift key while using the Firefox browser and what appears to be a developer menu pops up at the bottom of the page, the crappy thing is this is occuring on my laptop so my keyboard is part of the computer lol

I want to add to the options listed when I right click on some selected text. Specifically, I would like to be able to select some text (a tracking number) and have options to lookup tracking info (UPS, FedEx, or USPS) for the selected text.

Seems useful if one does lots of shipping, no?

Unfortunately, when I did a search in help for tabs - the suggestions were above my pay grade. I tried some of the suggestions, but they didn't seem simple enough for me. Long time ago I had this email let's say x@yahoo.com after some years i delete and made a new one x@gmail.com. On my PC every time I try to log in it goes like this: I put my x@gmail.com i put my password and it sends me a code on the same Gmail address... Very simple right? I put my verification code in and it says wrong password for email x@YAHOO.com... WHY DOES IT CHANGE MY EMAIL FROM GMAIL TO YAHOO ? I'M LOSING MY MIND I CAN'T LOG IN ON FRESH WINDOWS INSTALL!!!! I even reinstalled Mozilla, I've cleaned everything there is too be cleaned from the browser and same stupid "feature". Whyyyyyyyy????

Since this morning Firefox keeps crashing on my PC, not only tabs, but the whole browser. I've sent countless reports so far. There is no error message. Is there a problem with Firefox today, or there may be another issue? Please help, thanks.

When I close tabs, and the computer stops working and I check the Task manager it turns out that firefox still runs 20-30tabs in the background when most of then have been closed and have just 4 running!!!

This occupies 100% of disk and CPU, and thw laptop stops functioning and freezes!!!!!!

And this happens all the time! How do we make firefox actualy close the tabs properly?? Without having to dig through task managerto close them again one by one?

I downloaded session manager on Firefox hoping to be able to import session file from session buddy from chrome. I tried importing the json file but it says it fails to read. Followed by some googling I found that the problem lies with the fact that session buddy files don't have several tags in current tabs in the json file so importing fails. I am a noob and I don't see how that could be fixed, any help, plz?

Today I used firefox on my PC, using duckduckgo. I searched "iKnee" which is a brand of knee massager. I found that site but also in the search results there were several offensive porn sites listed. The first time that's ever happened. Why has it happened this time? Can I prevent it happening again?

My computer was compromised And as a result I had to repair and re install my Microsoft operating system windows 10 pro. That procedure wiped out my Firefox browser and now I have no record. Is there a backup that the browser keeps on a cloud.
