Firefox "Print Preview" has disappeared from the File menu in 84.0.2; all I have now is "Print", which brings up a Microsoft Edge style print dialog. Is this an upgrading error, or is it just the way Firefox will be now?

Hi, It seem that the Firefox.exe was hacked on my PC. Namely, there is no way to get rid of some Turkish webpages like https://www[.]ahaberci[.]com/sifresiz-trabzonspor-konyaspor-canli-izle-bedava-bein-sports-1-canli-yayin-izle-justi-49375h.htm which appear on starting the Firefox. I checked for the malwares the PC with several antivirus software. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it without saving data from the previous versions, with no success. I tried all methods offered by the Firefox Help, but does not work. Please, help me to fix the problem. I am attaching screenshots to illustrate the problem.

Apparently Mozilla did an update and not it defaults to it's own printer dialog box. I hate it. There is a link to use the system print dialog box but it only works for that specific print job. I can't find a setting to force Firefox to always use the system printer dialog box. Anyone know how to fix this? It's enough to make me stop using the browser becasue thr Firefox dialog box sucks.

On 1/5/21 at about 1200 PST, Other Bookmarks popped up in my Toolbar. I am trying to remove it but have had no success. I deleted the one website that was in Other Bookmarks but it is still in my Toolbar. How do I remove, Other Bookmarks from my Toolbar?

Hi, first of thanks for reading and possibly responding.

The issue I am having has been going on for a few days. In websites where youtube video's are embedded if I try and play the video on the said site it will load and display an error message An error occurred. Please try again later. If I visit the video on youtube, link provided in the video itself, then it plays just fine. Error is not restricted to one site but anything that embeds youtube videos.

I have also come across some strange youtube.com issues, when I am on the main website you get the thumbnails of video's but no time duration are displayed in the thumbnail, neither are the 3 dots where you can have one of the videos removed (not a big deal and maybe this was implemented a while ago I don't know tbh). When I play a video, as in visit the video page on youtube the side bar videos sometimes do and sometimes don't display time duration.

Please check attached image to see what I mean. Left is without said timecodes, right is what it almost should be.

What addons do I use: Ublock Origin is the only one worth noting but even without it the weird thing still occurs. I don't use any plug ins that correspond with youtube.

I am using the latest Firefox on Windows 10.

Things I have tried thus far to resolve it: - make sure Firefox is up to date - try with and without addblocker (Ublock) - remove Adobe flash entirely - refresh Firefox and clear all data and cookies 9tried this I think 3 times now, no change) - looked through older posts with similar issues but most links regarding html5 on youtube were 404 and sometimes the solution stated things like 'cause by some video helped addon' which I do not use or updating Flash

Am I the only one with this issue?

Like I said in the title, Firefox keeps changing the file extension for 'odd' file type when downloading them. I say 'Odd' because I download this type of file almost every day. They're a .ts4script file type, which is a file type for modding The Sims 4. Up until today they were downloading just fine, but now firefox keeps changing them into .zip files.

While this slightly makes sense as a .ts4script IS a zipped up file that contains python files it's very annoying to have to manually change the file type after downloading more than a few at the same time...

Is there maybe a setting I may have accidentally changed or something?

Today, when I go to print out a web page, the format of the Print Preview window has changed and the"Simplify Page" option is missing. I use this feature all the time. Without it many pages are impossible to print. How can I restore this feature?

Strange little problem has started recently and am thinking it might be related to the latest couple of FireFox updates. When I open FireFox and try to start typing in the search engine box, nothing happens...I have to click the mouse pointer on the cursor to seem to activate it for lack of a better term...and then I can start typing OK. [ No other typing / mouse click related problems with anything else what-so-ever ]

The cursor automatically goes right into the search box like it should, sitting there blinking for me to simply start typing from the keyboard. But typing is unresponsive, no typing occurs until I now take the extra step and mouse click on the cursor., then I can type OK.

Default browser is FireFox...the behavior is the same on multiple search engines of Google, DuckDuckGo, and Wikipedia. Since Firefox was a common denominator, I uninstalled FireFox, reinstalled it…but no help. Yet, if I try Internet Explorer from the ‘Windows Accessories’ section, it's search box typing works normally. Any experience / known issues would be appreciated.

when I type a comment on youtube, the text often "lags", the letters appear all together after a while, if I try to send the comment I get an error, and if I try to subscribe a channel I cannot, instead I get prompted to login while I am already logged. This is going for months, right now the only fix seems to switch to Opera... Can you guys provide solutions to this?

My business website wont load in the latest (84.0.1 - 64bit) version of Firefox for Windows. The previous version -84.0.0 did work. Chrome is just fine and much faster, but my preference is for FF. The home page loads (reluctantly), but manuy o the other pages won't load at all. I have ghostery installed but disabled, but this hasn't been an issue previously, and I have tried it with out this add-in, and it made no difference. I don't want to go to Chrome!

Since a recent Firefox update, Firefox has alpha-sorted my bookmarks automatically and I cannot turn this new feature off - this is annoying!

I want to custom organise the order of my bookmarks - NOT by alpha-sorting.

The 'sort by name' menu option does not have a counter option - ie 'DO NOT sort bookmarks'

So how do I turn off book mark sorting ???

firefox won't load any pages of etsy.com for approximately the last two days.

although the site's logo appears on the browser tab, the browser window itself is a blank white page, no error message, no spinning wheel, and the full webpage address showing in the address bar.

help.etsy.com loads fine, although in reality, that directs to a zendesk domain.

etsy.com loads fine on other browsers and isn't showing outages on down detector, etc.

i have cleared the cache, cookies, etc., closed and reopened the browser, made sure i'm using the latest version, ran a malware scan, made sure there are no permissions, rules, add ons, apps, or other things that are interfering with the site loading.

i have not changed any of my firefox settings in the last year, besides automatic updates. antivirus also up to date and i don't appear to have any malware.

any ideas?

(also providing this info to etsy.com, in case the issue is 100% on their end.)

Over the past week I've had this error popup a few times when Firefox is launched:

"You've launched an older version of Firefox. Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox."

I haven't yet spotted a pattern, but the most recent time it happened, I had the browser already open and either opened a new window or clicked Firefox in my start menu. The new window showed my homepage (blank tab) but was unresponsive: I couldn't type into the address bar, click a bookmark, or even close the window. The existing window was fine, so I closed that but had to kill Firefox in Task Manager.

When I relaunched Firefox, I got the above error message. Luckily I use Sync, so my many bookmarks are backed up. But of course all cookies have been deleted, so I have to login to websites again.

Firefox is up-to-date (84.0.1, 64-bit) and running on Windows 10 Enterprise. I even uninstalled, cleared out the data in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla (plus Local and LocalLow), and reinstalled.

As I said, this has happened a few times over the last week (3 or 4?) and is starting to get annoying now!

just like the title says. Fedora 33, kernel 5.9.16-200.fc33.x86_64, firefox 84.0.2 (just updated today). crash report is bp-7e418e46-b201-45c7-a7c9-313840210111

doesn't matter what tab i've got open, what tabs are loaded, or even if i'm using the browser, if it's running, it'll crash around every half hour or so
