The message from the EV Certificate is often so long that I cannot see the URL of the page anymore: not even the slightest bit, so that I cannot copy and paste the URL.
In order to be able to see more contents in the browser, I have positioned my monitor vertically, and put all the widgets in one bar: the address bar, the tags bar; as shown in the enclosed picture. This works fine until I open a page with an EV Certificate. Then the message from the certificate is so long. That there is no URL to be seen anymore. And I often need to copy and paste the URL.
Is there a way to configure the address bar so that the EV Certificate is only displayed as the padlock but with no text (untlil I click on the padlock, in case I want to see all the details)?

Strangely, it only occurs on one of my computers, even though I'm using the same sync account on both. I've tried deleting the cache, all cookies, and even deleted the Firefox profile and created a new one, to no avail. I also verified that the website is not included in the Windows shortcut target. This is on Firefox Quantum 59.0.2 64-bit on Windows 10.

I was looking for a list of ad ons that I got in Firefox and I tried to look into DEBUGING to see what it represents and I am shockjed to see so many "owrkers" and most of them are "listening for fetch events" have START button and an UNREGISTER link. What are those? Are they safe? Is it safe to unregister from all or some of these? The only one RUNNING (green) as opposed to STOPPED (grey) is Youtube, which also has PUSH and DEBUG buttons and I got no idea what PUSH functionality is and I never learned i n over 20 years what DEBUG is as once debug opens it seems like an alien world for me or ids it only for advanced computer geeks:

It's a pain right now using a master password on firefox. Every time I go to a website that needs my login, Firefox ask for my master password before it will load the user/pass into the login page. If I don't use the master password, then the problem is that if I leave my computer unlock for a little bit, someone can come by and click show password in setting and it will just show the passwords without asking for the master password.
So what I want is to only use master password when I click on show password in setting, and I don't have to do anything when trying to login to a page.
This is doable at work, with their security setting for all computer and it works great. When I click show password on Firefox at work, the computer ask for my Windows login password before it would show the Firefox password. That's what I want the master password to do. Only ask for it when I click show password.

This has been going on for about a 3 days now. Is there anything you can do to your FireWall and Other Security Software from allowing this Virus from trying to attack Mozilla FireFox? Please advise.

I am concerned and more than a little irritated as it is not easy to report problems
For security, I use Bitdefender total security which includes a VPN on an iMAC.

We use an online database program called Kronos Web. In the last couple days when we try to open a documents we have stored in the database that is a Microsoft Word XML format it opens in a new tab and gives the message "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." We don't get any option on how to open it. Previously we had no issues with it. I've reinstalled Firefox hoping that would fix the problem, but now I don't even have xml as an option in Applications and nothing comes up as a download so it will get added to Applications. Kronos told us it was a browser issue and not a Kronos issue.

Since today morning firefox has been starting continuously. At first it was Gah! Something went wrong crashes. I ran a spyware check with malaware and removed a couple of trojans. After that firefox as a whole began to crash. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but the issue still continues. I also removed the add ons but nothing is working. Some of the more recent crashes are not visible here.

in the last months Im having lots of FREQUENT crashes. I dont know why.
it often crashes (even 20-30 times a day), mostly with an empty page (#argh this page was closed), sometimes the program closes by itself, I restart it, it goes for some minutes or even less, and the the problems are back again.
I tried many solutions: I reinstalled it, I tried the safe modus (it crashes thesame way), disinstalled all the plug ins. disintalled the firefox accelerator. tried windows10 compatibility solutions, I created a new profile. i have the latest version, of course.
I have these issues ONLY with firefox. maybe is the 64 bits version? my laptop is 2 year old.
it does not get any better with the above solutions.

This morning Firefox upgraded its self. Since then I've not been able to click on links in e-mail to open up web pages. Every time I manually launch Firefox it asks me if I want to make make it my default browser. I reply Yes, so it asks me which account (my or the Administrator) I want to use. It does not appear to make any difference as Firefox does not become my default browser.
In increasing levels of desperation I've tried:
- Tools | Options | Make Default
- Rebooting the PC
- Deleting my Firefox Profile
- Reinstalling the latest version of Firefox
- Reinstalling an old version of Firefox
No luck. Following other threads in this forum I've selected Start -> Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set Default programs
Firefox is not listed.

I have had what appears to be an instrusion which will not allow me to turn off Firefox even when I turn Laptop off the Intrusion Notice remains Intrusion Notice states my Computer has been blocked Enter Username and Password Call Microsoft Help Desk on the number they provide which does not appear to be Microsoft number at all so I am suspect. I have attempted to uninstall Firefox so I can then reload but I can't as I cannot close Firefox I have done a basic scan using Norton 360 but not a full scan as of yet Any advice would be most appreciated

Hi there, I have a problem at work with the dictionaries. At home I can use the installed dictionary without any problem. At work we also have Firefox 59.0.2 (64bit), and I can see the dictionary installed. But when I choose the language I only see red lines under my text (and I know for sure some words are correct). If I pick the standard language of Firefox (English - United states), it works. But if I install a different dictionary like English - British it won't work. I also tried Dutch and some other languages. But only the standard one works.
I have tried an older computer that has an older version of Firefox, and it works perfect. Until I update Firefox to the latest version. then it won't work anymore. So I thought it had to do with the Firefox version. But at home it works perfect with the same new Firefox update.
Anyone an idea? Or is it maybe the 64 bit that does not work? Can someone test this for me?
