Google is my default search engine. But for whatever reason, whenever I search a site in the address bar, the first 3-10 possible solutions appear next to a magnifying glass, and when I click them, they are automatically searched through bing. Even google. I do not like bing and do not want to use it; I have tried everything I can find to get rid of this problem, but nothing is working. I installed an add-on so that when I open a new tab, the page is my homepage, which is google. I tried the about:config way to get rid of bing from the address bar but it did not work. It is extremely aggravating and annoying to have everything, even google, pop up in bing searches. Does anyone know what is going on?

If I click one, all these links turn to purple text, and I get taken to a page that it supposed to have a pay statement, but just has a big blank area where the statement should be. I'm pretty sure all my plugins are up to date.
Unfortunately, you need to have an account with ADP to check this out. Everyone else in my department who uses Firefox has had the same problem, though. It seems to be recent -- within the last month or two. Could it have something to do with Firefox updates? Again, it works on Chrome and Explorer.

Since upgrading to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), the video part of Google Hangout no longer works -- the video settings pane in Hangouts tells me that I have no camera. This isn't true; I'm on a laptop with a built-in camera, and the video shows up fine in other apps.
I've tried restarting Firefox, as well as uninstalling and re-installing the Google talk/video plugin. No dice.
This may be a red herring, but an informal poll of my co-workers seems to show that it's only people with 11" MacBook Airs that are affected. I find this rather suspicious, and I'm not sure it's actually a thing, but I suppose it's possible.

are just two of the damn viruses that have infected my computer since Firefox prompted me to upgrade. So far this has cost me weeks in hours of lost productivity, the cost of Norton 360 which did not solve the problem, and ALLOT of stress. Any video I watch will only work when I keep moving my mouse, as soon as I stop moving it the video freezes. After opening a website in Mozilla Firefox it shows "Activate Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U. This plugin has security vulnerabilities" and after clicking "allow and remember in red plugin icon in the address bar" the website closes automatically. Again after opening the same website the same problem exists - Not able to activate java.
After opening the same website in Google Chrome "Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U21 has crashed." - this message appears.

Adobe Flash is not working with Windows 8.1.
I have tried the suggestions in several of the posted discussions, but Flash crashes every time since I updated to Windows 8.1.

It seems that Firefox still hasn't fixed it's memory leaks. I'm on Firefox 25.1 on Mountain Lion with 16 gigs RAM on a macbook pro with Retina. I've disabled all plugins and all add-ons and memory still seems to creep up as long as firefox is open. I also notice that CPU is always pretty high. In comparison to chrome and safari it's pretty ridiculous how much CPU and real and virtual memory Firefox needs. I do like the browser though.
Is anyone else having this problem still?

Within the last few days I have noticed that video on every single website is constantly playing poorly. The motion is perpetually jerky, stilted, and choppy EXCEPT when I play the video in full screen and then it plays perfectly. Also, only the visual portion of the videos are affected, not the audio. This problem only exists for me on Firefox. I have tried other browsers where the same videos played without issue.
I have tried re-installing Flash, turning off hardware acceleration, changing refresh rates, and a host of other fixes I have found online via Google searches. I have never experienced this issue before and was dismayed when nearly every situation even remotely like this that I found was dated to last year or earlier as I had presumed that others may currently having the same issue.
I have not added any new add-ons or plug-ins recently to my knowledge and I am the only one to use this computer (MBP). Any recent changes would be attributed to various updates that would have happened as I make sure that all things are kept up to date as much as possible. I would really rather not have to use Safari every time I wish to watch a video online.
