I suddenly started a thick outline shadow around dialogue boxes such as the Google search bar. I thought it was them but it is on all websites and only on Firefox. I did not change anything. I did restart my pc yesterday but it just started this morning when I opened Firefox. Firefox 124, Windows 10 I don't like it and want to get rid of it but I don't know how.

since my last upgrade 124, I cannot open most of the shortcuts on my desktop What can I do to stop this I get the NON COMPATIBLE ERROR msg If I go to OPEN WITH... and use another browser, it opens. Do I need to delete firefox and go to another browser??

I have been going to the same website using Firefox for a year or two and now when I go there the home page for the site shows up for a few seconds then disappears leaving a white screen. Once when I was backspacing there was a notice saying it had been deleted from it's cache and to reload which I did but nothing happened. I have also been using CCleaner and I have been cleaning the MFT free space for Drive C I've been doing that for a month or so and I'm wondering if that caused the problem? I wouldn't think so if it was the problem it should have happened the first time I used it and it should happen on my other browsers and it hasn't. It's only 2 web sites that I know of that have this problem there may be others but I haven't found them yet. How do I get FF to reload the site in it's cache and keep it there if this is a problem with FF? If this is a problem with CCleaner and the free space scan I'd like to know that. Firefox keep crashing when I use certain websites (realtor.com is one that comes to mind). I use a Macbook pro. I've updated my operating system, updated Firefox, and tried to use Firefox in troubleshooting mode. Everything is up to date, and the crashes still happen in troubleshooting mode. Firefox. LinuxMint 21.3 Cinnamon 6.0.4 , Google Mail Compose, Pressing and holding the arrow key moves the cursor one character at a time. Google Chrome works fine.

Recently (in the last week), Firefox stopped playing videos. Just a circle running around. Thought it might have been problems with a website, then a second and YouTube won't work. Fixes?

I've installed firefox and weirdly when I use youtube or just browsing the CPU is 250 and it's draining my new mac really quickly. This did not happen before on my previous mac. Seeking some help and answers, went to Apple genius bar and they've stated is the firefox application that is causing the fast drain of power.

how to permanently keep the warning about closing multiple tabs?

Every so often, probably due to an unseen update, when I press the red X at the top of of a page where multiple tabs are open, to see how many tabs are open, they disappear, and the preference option to not close multiple tabs without warning (which says the # of tabs open), has to be turned back on.

Until a few days ago, I could type a search into the Firefox home page and my typing would appear as expected in that 'window.' Now the typing appears in a address bar, apparently owned by google, at the top of the page and it is extremely distracting and annoying.

How can I restore the sensible and easy way to search?

How do I delete, remove, or otherwise disable that garbage "review checker" from the latest firefox update. It's useless, un-needed thing that I don't trust.

option to OPT out REMOVE/DELETE or completely DISABLE!

Since the most recent update, I can no longer run YouTube full screen in the background while I am working with other programs. This morning, when I put YouTube in fullscreen, it creates a second desktop. When I go to open a program, it switches me back to the first desktop.

This is the procedure I followed:

Close firefox

Copy previous.jsonlz4 file to the main level in the profile

It has all the tabs i used to have in it because I made a backup a few days ago

Rename the file to sessionstore.jsonlz4

restart firefox

I get the same single tab I had before i did this

when i go to history tabs, all that is there is the single tab i currently have

With Firefox a number of major sites, cnn.com in this case, only headlines appear in many articles and text is missing. This does not occur with any other browsers, including TOR, which looks a lot like Firefox.

Images in some hotmail emails do not show. A blank space or a large space with a tiny icon (I don't know what it is) in the upper left hand corner is where an image should be. A right click in that space will allow the image to be opened in another tab.

I am using a laptop with Windows 7. I know support for that is ending soon.

Using another browser solves the problem, but I don't want to do that.

How do I download language data for translating on a machine that is not connected to the internet?

I already followed the instructions here to download an offline firefox installer: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

and I downloaded the language packs I want here: https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/124.0/win64/xpi/

and I followed the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/deploying-firefox-language-packs

But translation still doesn't work. I even manually installed the "*.xpi" packs into the browser. I can see in Firefox's settings that it thinks the packs are installed, and it offers to translate pages it detects are in a different language, but translation fails. I noticed that the language packs are smaller than I would have expected - smaller than 1MB. Is there a way to download the language data that is needed for offline translations?

If I am on Google Chrome and I type in a twitter post, words that are spelt incorectly are underlind in red... however FireFox does not do this, so I end up posting with many spelling mistackes. How to make it check spelling? If it cannot, I uninstall and go back to Chrome.

I've been experiencing this issue for a while, i've tried different things (including turning on/off "Allow paghes to choose...") and none of them work. I've uninstalled all Adobe Fonts, which also didn't work. It's the same on all of my devices except my Phone where im logged in with my Firefox Account. It seems that the Font that is being used to replace the original is Helvetica Neue, if that helps at all. I don't remember ever changing any setting regarding fonts to that font so i'm clueless at this point as to where & when this could have been caused.

Is this an issue anyone else has faced or was able to solve?

bold textI am getting "Welcome to ad-free, secure video streaming!" every time I turn on firefox. I can't seem to get rid of it and don't know where it came from. It wants me to "Finish installation" and never installed whatever this is in the first place.

It also tells me "Auto-reporting via Google Analytics is disabled! "

I have no idea what is going on, don't want whatever they are offering, just want it to go away!

I neglected to say that I just 'x' this thing when I see it but it appears whenever I start firefox.

Thoughts?
