Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

How most of the the "serious" articles of those recommended come from moderately left to very left sources. The well-intentioned but hopelessly misguided (and often destructive) selections from the NYT, Atlantic, Vox, New Yorker, etc. are of little little interest or use to me. Please consider articles and opinion pieces from the WSJ. American Spectator, NR, etc. as well. You might just increase revenue and profit. Thanks! Ted Alpert

I am trying to block myself from checking on my old employer's website, and I need to block myself from being able to go to their web page. How do I block a specific website? I do not want to access this site, and I find myself checking the site. I sound nuts, I know. But this is for my own good.

I used Firefox's saved logins feature for years and had over 100 logins saved on my laptop. I also use Firefox on my IOS phone.

After an update (I don't know which one, updates are frequent), the app on my phone stopped showing my passwords for most of my accounts. For example, in the passwords section of my Firefox IOS app, it would show the names of the over 100 websites I had saved logins for, but would say there was nothing saved as an email/username or password, just empty boxes. There were 8 logins for accounts I had created on my phone, and those ones did display.

I eventually got tired this and tried to sync my account so I would have all of the passwords I saved on my laptop and on my phone, but Firefox, instead of combining the over 100 logins on my laptop with the 8 logins on my phone, removed all of the over 100 logins I had saved on my laptop and replaced them with the 8 logins that were saved on my phone. My phone also still has the 8 logins.

Now I am missing most of my logins, including the email accounts I used and passwords. This is a big issue for me because I've used multiple emails across my accounts. Resetting all of my passwords will be impossible, and I need to access the over 100 saved logins that are no longer on any of my devices.

I followed the instructions in the "Recover user data missing after Firefox update" support page. The only other profile that showed up for me has no logins saved at all, so that's a dead end. I read other pages about "wrong way syncing", but its too late for me to try to tell Firefox my laptop was the master account because the damage is already done.

I need to know if there's a way to recover my profile with all my accounts. Please, share any information that could be helpful. I need it badly.

Had it yesterday, happened this morning after the restart and just NOW, when I entered 6 lousy tabs, and they are NOT in the recently closed list either.. wups, gone, no tabs, setting has a check mark on open previous windows and tabs. Within 24 hours, lost the tabs three times with a non reported crash and Firefox closing itself with no warning.

I honestly do not think I am responsible to keep a backup of my browser history, I expect a browser to do that. I switched from Opera to Firefox not to long ago.. even Opera is a security risk.. at least it doesn't delete your tabs just for fun.

Very simple.. that happens once more and i am OFF this browser....

Whenever firefox has multiple tabs open and on any single tab youtube is running i find youtube to crash lag and even crack itself by audio playing with struck video. FYI the same issue is not experienced in other browsers like brave for instance . I hope you provide attention to this problem and solve this issue as soon as possible and as I mostly use firefox to browse and use its dev tools.

There is "show in folder" menu for file in downloads. And it will launch my file manager at the parent folder for the selected download file.

There are so many files in my downloads folder, so i would like the specific file to be autoselected. My file manager support this if i pass the filename as parameter in the commandline.

However, seems that firefox only pass the parent folder path to my file manager in the "show in folder". However can i customize firefox so that it will pass the full file name to my file manager when i click "show in folder", and my file manager will open the parent folder with the specific file autoselected.

I decided to try it out. I was exploring it, seeing if I could create a mask with a chosen name, and now it says I used up all my free masks.

Since that's the case,. can I still choose the one of those I unwittingly created? Maybe there should be some kind of disclaimer?
