Hi there!

I have the issue that when I enter a website that is in English, I sometimes get a little Google translator pop-up at the top which asks me to translate the page. As I am fully fluent in English, I would like to disable this but the option "Disable for English" does not seem to do anything, as this keeps happening. I can disable it for an individual website but I would like to disable it completely.

I'm also confused because within Firefox I have only selected US English as a preferred language. My laptop itself is set to German.

I don't have any translator add-ons installed and can't figure out where this pop-up even comes from, let alone how to fully disable it.

If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful!

Anne

My sidebar used to always come up showing "history." Now the default seems to be "bookmarks." I know I can toggle down to "history," but I often forget to do that and click on a bookmark, thinking I was going to my most recent use of that bookmark. Is there a way to set the sidebar just to "history" again?

I was checking to make sure I was using the correct version of Firefox browser. I ended up on a page that stated "It looks like you haven’t started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" It went on to ask if I would like to Refresh Firefox, just like it was brand new.

In the Menu option on any Firefox page I can get on it states: "Account Disconnected". I have been using Firefox just about every day for 3 years. What is going on. I didn't dare click on the "Refresh Firefox" tab because I have no idea what will happen. Will I lose everything, bookmarks, settings, etc.?

Please help

Did the file Upload?

Starting about 2 weeks ago everytime I access Facebook, it starts reloading pages and I can't stop it. This is the only site I've had the problem with and it always starts happening when I have paged down several pages. I've tried changing settings, and even uninstalled the system and re-installed to no avail. Something has changed so please fix it!

In settings, the application for opening pdf files defaults to Open in Firefox. I change it to save file. Close re-open. Firefox opens all pdf files in Firefox browser. I try reboot. Firefox opens all pdf files in Firefox browser.

I update and reboot. Same thing. Always opens in Firefox browser.

I change it to open with default application, close and reopen and verify settings say to use default application. (When I open a pdf in Nemo or Catfish, it defaults to XReader.) Firefox still opens pdf files in Firefox. I close and reboot. Same thing.

This version 102.0.1 (64bit) appears to have opening pdf files hard coded into the browser.

I have LastPass extension active in my Firefox browser, however it does not work. When opening my Firefox browser the LastPass icon in the upper right corner remains black with 3 white dots, not functioning. On other browsers the LastPass icon turns red, functioning. How can I get the LastPass to function? I have been forced to use Edge as my primary browser where I prefer to use Firefox. Please help.

I removed the login for id.logi.com and www.logitech.com but the webpage login prompt for id.logi.com that opens their Logitech Options application in Windows doesn't present me with the prompt to enter my login info but still opens the app without logging me in confirmed by the app that I'm not logged in.

When I click to login to the www.logitech.com site I'm also not presented with the username/password prompt butt I am automatically logged in.

After being logged in via the website, now the Logitech Options app shows me logged in while the webpage that launches the app wouldn't log me in but still opened the app.

Clearing site data and cookies for id.logi.com and www.logitech.com didn't fix the problem. How can I not login on one page and be able to login on another page both without a login prompt?

I've downloaded a couple of add-ons this week that did not do what they claim to do, so I wanted to leave reviews so other users won't waste their time. Except when i got to do so, i am surprised to see that therte is no clear way to write a review for an add-on. I am logged into the add-ons page, i can view the previous reviews for the add-on, but nowhere does it inticate how I can leave a review. Google led me to the Mozilla add-ons wiki which states "You can complete most of the review using the reviewer tools at addons.mozilla.org" except there is no indication to where one can locate these "reviewer tools." Seems a bit funny to me that Mozilla would choose to hide the functionality and make it so difficult to use.

Any help is appreciated.

My volume on Youtube is often too low. Some time back I got a java script that fixed it. I had to do an F12 and paste it in somewhere and then I got a little rectangle at top left which said something like 'volume'. Click on that and up went the volume. Click again, up more and so on. It was good. Sometimes on things like perhaps Bitchute it wouldn't work. It would actually switch all the volume off. I'd refresh the page to fix that. Anyway: it suddenly disappeared today. The little rectangle is gone. I can't up my volume on Youtube any more. I got something from the web, a javascript, and pasted it into 'console' after F12 but i got error messages. I'm clueless. Don't know where to look for my original, see if it still there. Don't know how to troubleshoot. Don't know any other way to get the volume up. See error message on the console whenever I go there, don't know what to do about them. FYI I'll post the first few lines of them: Unknown property ‘-moz-osx-font-smoothing’. Declaration dropped. screen.4472f725724c6a0a.css:1:3751 Unknown property ‘zoom’. Declaration dropped. screen.4472f725724c6a0a.css:1:6665 Unknown property ‘zoom’. Declaration dropped. screen.4472f725724c6a0a.css:1:14230 Unknown property ‘zoom’. Declaration dropped. Don't know what that's about. But mainly: how to get my volume up?

Is there an option to restore not just the previous session, but the session before that?

It seems it wipes everything on each close, I figure that might be a security feature, but it would be really helpful if there was a plugin/add-on or better yet an option to keep session up to X amount. Since firefox is my default broswer sometimes I will open a link thru an app and close it, forgetting that it will delete my previous session. Then it is impossible to open up those tabs again as I keep them open for a while.

Please let me know if there is an easy solution to this.

Sincerely, Dylan I

Yes, I read your post about stopping the repeated prompts for the master password. You say go to settings, stop using a master password, restart Firefox -- then sometime later, you could start using one again. Wow. Please. There are times when I do not want to enter the master word, even when going to sites for which I saved passwords. For one thing, I can leave my computer for a while, without having to restart Firefox, lest someone has access to all my sites. But the prompt -master password "required"- comes back again and again. It can be ignored, and I can go to any site and log in (it's not really "required"), but the prompt comes back, again and again. You've received several complaints about this. Please, why can't you do the simple programing task of an option the user can select, saying "don't ask again (until you restart Firefox)."

Thank you.

p.s. if you can't manage that, please change the existing prompt to more honestly read: "Enter your master password. Firefox thinks you're an idiot for not entering your master password, so even though it's not strictly required to sign in to web sites, we're going to ask you again and again, unless you go the trouble of stopping use of master word and then the trouble to restart it. Because that's how Firefox works, and our programmers don't know how, or we don't care enough, to give you the option to suspend this prompt."
