I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

When I click a link on a website, a new Firefox tab opens with this message: 400 Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large nginx/1.18.0 (Ubuntu). This is new behavior; it was working fine until yesterday. Can you tell me how to fix it?

My bookmarks disappeared mysteriously yesterday while I was using the browser. All of them (I have a lot), there's nothing in the bookmarks toolbar. I use Firefox on two different machines regularly, and yesterday the second machine was fine, bookmarks still there. Today I logged on and the second computer had lost its bookmarks too.

I tried restoring. It worked on my other computer, no problem, all bookmarks returned. However, on this one the restore points are visible, but when I click them, nothing happens. I have tried restarting Firefox, no luck. Any ideas?

"Block pop-up windows" is enabled in Firefox, but I still get popups from www.smh.com.au Maybe you have time to investigate - a different type of popup needs blocking.

What can you do about it?

www.google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust www.google.com because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates.

Firefox was working fine yesterday. But all of a sudden while playing a youtube video it started being choppy. It drops frames, scrolling and video playback are choppy and laggy, there is lag on button inputs, the system is choppy and laggy too while firefox is open, especially when video is playing. I checked the CPU and GPU usage and I can't see any spikes. I have tried refreshing firefox but that did not fix the problem.

OS is manjaro linux (gnome version) latest. Firefox is also at the latest version.

I am using firefox 102.0(64 bit) on windows 10. Recently some videos i watch have Error Code: 232011. Also I can't drag and drop shortcuts of certain sites to desktop or folders. It installs an empty file folder.

I recently installed Firefox 102.0.1 64-bit on a new WinX laptop. Using the same link as always (http://www.henderson.lib.nc.us/) I am unable to connect with my county library. I'm not having trouble with other sites. The error message says

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.hendersoncountync.gov. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I turned off HTTPS-Only Mode but the problem persisted. I also tried entering this site as an exception for HTTPS-Only but that didn't help. Even after restarting the computer, Firefox continues to reset the URL to HTTPS from HTTP. My wife was able to access this website on her desktop WinX with Firefox and no problem. On my WinX desktop with Firefox I connected to https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/library instantly.

Is the HTTPS-Only Mode sticky? What am I missing?

Hello, i often use the j,k,l keys to scroll/pause videos on youtube and i often get the "weird" bar at the bottom of the page. I cannot tell you exactly what it is. The question is: how turn off this? I am attaching a screen shot.

I tried to set cookie preferences for different websites. For reasons that I do not understand, I cannot move the "slider". I even turned of the existing protection for the websites, but nothing changed. I tried the same with Safari using the same computer and mouse, and I had no problems.

Is this a known bug?

Greetings, I've checked a few articles in Firefox to help with my question, but none of them are helping. (Here's the main article: http://example.com.) Here's the situation. Say I go to a website's Contact page and click the button to contact someone, a window appears and asks me what app I want to use to open the email. Gmail is my default email, and Firefox is my default browser, and I use Windows 10. When I open the window of options (see attached screenshot) to open the email, and I then click "Choose Other Application" (other than Firefox), I don't see the Gmail app anywhere. I then followed the directions in that link above to check my Windows settings, per its suggestion, which I did ... but in those settings, too, I got to a point where the directions no longer matched what I'm seeing on my screen. I didn't see the Gmail app anywhere. Could you let me know in simple layperson's terms how to open Gmail links in Firefox? I don't have a PhD in computer science, so please keep it very simple. Thank you RobertJ! I am now able to see DownThemAll on my toolbar and use the extension, and I thank you! The next problem is that DownThemAll downloads the name but not the midi file. Each midi when you click on it has an automatic download feature that initiates for each file so that you can automatically download the file quickly and easily, however, DownThemAll cannot download the midi. So the Reddit website seems to load, but ends up with a big old blank white page. I've cleared my cache, I've cleared my DNS cache. I've pressed ctrl + f5, I've rebooted the computer. Nothing seems to be aloowing mt to open reddit. Please advise.

I want to resize a window, without dragging the edges around. I've read the resizing instructions and am unable to find the "resize" icon next to the address bar. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recall recently discovering an option that allowed me to designate websites that I no longer wanted to see in my search results. I thought this was x-useful as it seems there are a few websites that frequently appeared near the top of the search results that were "come-ons"; that is when you click on the link in the search results, they only offered an option to "sign up" for access. I don't want to see this junk, and I did add one website to the list.

I've got another one I want to add, but I can't find the interface to add this website to the list. I thought it was a DuckDuckGo feature, but I don't see it anywhere! Is this a Firefox feature ? ... or have I lost my mind  :P

How do I block autoplay vedio?

I know I can block Audio and Video, but I just want to block autoplay video. As if I use the block audio and video it will mute all videos I open, and I need to unmute it every time. I just want autoplay to not start, not mute the video too.
