I am running Firefox 28.0 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Every time I start Firefox (It crashes frequently) I get the same cookie prompts. On each one the "remember" box is checked. What does this "remember" box signify? If I tell Firefox that I do not want to save a cookie for site X, then I expect that Firefox will remember this, and if I visit the site again, then Firefox will not prompt me to ask if I want to save a cookie for that site.

In Firefox 60 when I go to delete individual cookies I can no longer use the "delete" key on the keyboard. This was always useful for quickly deleting any unwanted cookies, scroll using the arrow then delete. Now I have to ctrl+click, scroll and click remove. One mis-click and they all get unselected and you have to start again. How to re-enable the delete key?

Earlier today I clicked on a link from a medical provider portal. Yes, secured. I logged in, took care of some business, logged out. Later I got an email telling me there was a message. This is all pretty normal and I have done it often. When I tried to connect to the website via their link and then from the browser address manually, I got this:

The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Well, I checked my cookie settings and they are open (accept cookies). I have not changed any security setting or cookie settings nor have I added any ad blocking software since this morning.

I used another browser (Chrome) and connected in about 2 seconds. Firefox is my preferred browser. This is frustrating. I have the latest version of Firefox, and the latest updated version of Windows 7.

When trying to use the watch ESPN service, I select spectrum as my provider and it attempts to go to the login portal, but is somehow automatically authenticated with an old, no longer valid account. I have cleared all active logins, cache, cookies, checked for saved passwords in settings, etc. How could firefox (or the webpage) be remembering my information?

I need to allow some websites to store cookies, all other cookies are getting deleted every time I close FireFox. There is a dialogue "Cookies and Website-Data"-->"Permissions" that lets me whitelist specific websites. Cookies of these websites should be excepted from the deletion when closing FireFox.

The problem is that everytime I close firefox the whitelisted websites disappear... I had this problem already with Version 69, its still there in 70...

Thanks in advance for any hints...

When I go to erase cookies, none are showing up even though I have them enabled. This has just started happening since I reinstalled Firefox. I do not have privacy mode enabled. I was having a lot of trouble connecting to a particular site so I uninstalled Firefox then reinstalled it. Since then I am not able to see what cookies are on my computer. Also, I still have issues connecting to the site in question.

I finally upgraded to Win10 and to my surprise Firefox 57 does not clear cookies from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ocy0d10c.default\cache2\entries

[Note folder name may vary from ocy0d10c.default per machine]

Why doesn't Mozilla fix this? I have to manually delete them regularly. I found this folder first using CCleaner, which regularly does clear this folder via the clear cookies option. At the time I discovered it it had some 13,000 files. This slowed and slows my computer considerably if I don't keep up.

It would be very helpful not to have to manually check this folder and remove cookies, if the FF tool for clearing cookies would please incorporate this folder? Thanks.

If I start Firefox and immediately go to manage cookies, I find all sorts of cookies that are still there since the last time I manually cleared out cookies. Manually clearing cookies is very tedious, since I need to keep cookies from those sites that won't let me log in without a code sent via email, phone, or text. These sites often seem to require some third-party cookies, which are difficult to identify.

In the past I was able to keep the required cookies by setting cookies to be kept "until they expire" and doing nothing in that session but logging into the site I wanted. Then, at the next session I would set cookies to be kept "until I close Firefox" and immediately closing and then reopening Firefox.

This no longer seems to work. I'm using Firefox 60.0.2 (64-bit). I think I've had the problem for more than a couple of months, but I'm not sure.

If there is some other way to keep the cookies I want and lose the others, I'd appreciate that information. I saw something about "persistent storage" in view page info, but did not understand the references.

Refresh Every add-on works on every site except one. I can login to the specific site, but cannot proceed to anything on that site as it will always take me back to the login page. I received a fix half a year ago and remember it was super easy, something to do with the cookies. I cannot find that email anymore nor is my question on the "MY QUESTIONS" tab on the support page. This keeps happening about twice every year. I haven't made any changes to the mozilla settings other than to fix it the last time. I'll make sure to tattoo it to my body this time so I won't lose the fix. Thanks for the support.

I've been digging into an issue about the "A web page is slowing down your browser," and it seems that the most frequent explanation for this is corrupt cookies/cache. However, the issue wasn't repeatable on my site. After some digging, I found that its possible for a corrupt `cookies.sqlite` if the max file size has been reached and a suggestion that FF automatically resets this `cookies.sqlite` store when this happens.

I suspect that this issue happened when the user maxed out their cookies, causing a corrupt `cookies.sqlite` file. Then, when they restarted FF, their store had been cleared and they had no problems.

However, I cannot find any documentation about FF behavior when in handling corrupt cookies or resetting the `cookies.sqlite` file. I'm looking for some concrete answers. What is FF's cookie store limit, and what is its behavior (if any) when the store is maxed?

Worth mentioning, this was FF on Linux. I don't know the specs beyond that.

I only want to use Firefox, but for the longest time I've had to keep Chrome as a backup browser because that is the only way I can view my gmail account. I want to view it on Firefox, but a cookies issue won't let me. Every time I go into my privacy settings and change it to custom, it never stays. I will change it, and immediately go back to the privacy settings and notice that my last changes haven't been saved. I reset my Firefox to factory settings, as well as started my Firefox in safe mode and tried to see if add-ons would be causing an issue (they weren't, as add-ons are disabled in safe mode and gmail still wouldn't let me in...). How can I make my privacy settings stay permanently to my custom settings please? I would very much like to get rid of chrome and only use Firefox.
