I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

My problem is that when I join a Google Meet, and get the Firefox popup that says "Will you allow meet-google.com to use your microphone?", in the "Microphone to share:" dropdown, it only lists the mic on my webcam. However, I want to use the headset mic I have plugged in.

I'm on Windows 10, with a Logitech C920 HD Pro webcam, and using the on-board audio on a MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge AC motherboard.

I know there's nothing wrong with the on-board audio or headset, because I can select and use this mic in Discord and other apps just fine.

Also, if I unplug the webcam, then Firefox will offer to use the on-board mic, but of course, now I have no video.

In both cases, it never offers to use the audio line-in, which I've wanted to use to present to a meeting the output from of another device. I've tried installing Voicemeeter, hoping that would solve all my issues, but Voicemeeter's virtual microphone also never shows up in the "Microphone to share:" dropdown.

When I try to add extensions with Firefox, I get this error message: "Download failed. Please check your connection." The add-on's I want to add are all "recommended" ones, e.g. lastpass, and not questionable ones. I have checked my firewall, but that does not seem to be the issue. And I can add extensions to other browsers but Firefox is the one I prefer.

On the homescreen of Firefox that has the "Top Sites" section along with the "Recommended by Pocket", I cant seem to get rid of Facebook no matter how many times I click "dismiss" or "delete from history". I'm just trying to take a brake from Social Media and dont want that icon tempting me.

I know I should just not click it, but it would be easier without it there.

Ever since the upgrade to Firefox 76.0 on Windows 10 Pro ... sometimes I click on a link ... then click on the back button ... I am returned to the top of the page instead of the location from which I exited the original page

I have seen this reported several times ... with the workaround of Open Link in New Tab (which I have had to use for YouTube for several years) ... but now all pages (including my own) ... exhibit this problem

I have started Firefox in safe mode as well as with all plugins disabled ... and the results are the same

The page in question is my BOOKMARKS.html from this or any other profile ... if that helps

Just recently there has been issues with how a job search at Glassdoor.com is appearing via my Firefox browser. It seems that the formatting is all messed up, and everything gets shoved to the left margin, and there is no scroll bar. (See first image)

If I reduce the size of the zoom level, I can see the search results actually have appeared, but they are shoved even further to the left margin and no scroll bar again. (See second image)

This only happens with anything connected with a job search at Glassdoor.com. Salary search, company search, etc are all fine, just the job search, which is really inconvenient since I am actively looking for a job.

I've attached images of this for you.

The job search pages work fine in Chrome. Please don't make me use Chrome.

New Tabs and even sometimes first tab do not load any page and become just "dead"

Open in New Tab and Ctr T is like a roll of dice now, the same page sometimes loads sometimes doesn't, usually closing FF and re-opening solves it.

This has been happening quite frequently so I tried several builds and solutions, uninstalled and reinstalled with new profile, safe mode, no add-ons or themes, both 32 and 64 bit, ESR, etc.. (I'm on Win10 64 bit)

If anyone is experiencing something similar or have an idea let me know please I've been using Firefox for longer than I remember and I would hate to switch now

Hello Community! I have been a FF user for a couple of years now and really enjoy the browser - thanks for all the hard work. The last FF update to ver 76 has been a struggle as I use DoH and I set network.trr.mode = 3 (no non-DoH fallback allowed) however the update has broken this. I even completely reinstalled the OS (linux - pop) with a full clean install of FF with the same results. This is also the case on all my machines no it's for sure FF 76. Any ideas? Here are my config settings:

network.trr.mode = 3 network.trr.custom_uri = https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query network.trr.bootstrapAddress - 1.1.1.1

No pages will load however when i set network.trr.mode back to '2' all works fine again.

Say that I have a login at a site, and I got there previously with another browser. When I go to the same site with Firefox for the first time, that site's ID field might drop down to show a number of entries, and many times (but not always) there is no "View Saved Logins" below the list.

Here is an example of a site than many readers of this might not go to: DevonTechnologies.com and this might be the same for you. Devon's login ID wants an email address, and the field dropped down to show 29. A bunch of them were emails I would swear on my kid's heads I have never used anywhere, not even in another browser, and one was a misspelling of my own email address. Only a small few were addresses that were valid elsewhere. But here is the rub: A search of about:logins for the weird addresses and my misspelling came up empty.

Further, I can go to another site I have never visited with Firefox, and I might not get a drop-down at all or I might get just one of my three typical email addresses.

For those sites where I have used Firefox for the first time, the questions are

• Where did Firefox get those spurious addresses?
• Where did Firefox get a good address, and why did it leave out the "usual" others?
• Why are the odd logins not found at about:logins?

I have Firefox 76.0.1 under Catalina 10.15.4, and I sync with Lockwise.

Whenever I load a website, there is a brief left-to-right blue streak across the tab when that website loads. I would prefer to not have this, it's not matchy with anything else on my desktop and I find the animation distracting.

It doesn't seem to be connected to any of my add-ons. I'm using the Firefox Light theme. Is this just a theme thing, and I should get a different one? Or is there a way to get this to stop.I checked about:config and past forum discussions and didn't see anything obvious. Thank you!

I used to see a feature in a question/answer editor here at FireFox help that allowed images to be displayed inline instead of only as thumbnails at the end of an answer or as links in the text of an answer. I saw answers with inline images today. How do you do that? Attached image shows what I mean. The attached image also is an example of an image not displaying inline.

When I upgraded to Windows 10 I lost the ability to pin tabs in the new tab screen. I used the help function but the pin option DOES NOT appear when selecting the 3 dots as shown in the article found through the help screen. What is the problem?

Why does my search button icon in all programs on Firefox show the letters "fl" instead of a magnifying glass. The magnifying glass shows on all other browsers, including Chrome and Edge.

Since the last update [76.0 (64-bit)], whenever I enter a fullscreen mode in any media player on a website (e.g. Youtube) I can no longer Alt-tab normally, even if I close the fullscreen. Instead it takes 3 times to switch to another window - first press of the Alt-tab combination causes Firefox to lose focus but remain on top, 2nd press returns focus onto Firefox and then the 3rd one actually switches to another window.

This also occurs when simply switching to fullscreen on any other website as well (by pressing F11).

This also causes any newly open windows to be displayed under the Firefox window.

Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Esc minimizes the window normally and the issue does not occur then, however, it occurs again whenever I go fullscreen.

The problem occurs also in the Safe mode. Antivirus did not find any issues, so I don't believe the cause to be external.

OS is Windows 10 Home, 64-bit.

I have the following box checked in Firefox and Thunderbird but spellcheck does not work.

"Check your spelling as you type"

I have tried everything that I can think of. It used to work but and update apparently disabled it even though it is checked.

I just had my OS reinstalled with Win 10 32 bit on my 64 bit system. When I try to up or download anything from the web, FFox freezes and need to exit it with End Task. Could the 332 bit win 10 be the problem?

I tried it in safe mode, same problem. 

are there some settings I can look at? I tried Chrome and no problem downloading, Hope someone can help I like FFox more then the others.

even when I go to clear cookies from a site like this one https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/ by clicking the padlock icon, and select Clear Cookies and Site data, it freezes.

I'm using Firefox 76 packaged with fedora 30 but it wont display a video (weirdly youtube does work). I'm getting the message: "this content requires adobe flash or HTML5 video support..." I don't want to install flash because I've seen some content somewhere about security concerns. I looked for an extension or add-on but none of them seem to be Mozilla approved and most of them don't seem to address this issue anyway. I can't find a setting to fix this in Firefox. I've seen an archived thread about this problem suggesting maybe some linux library issue, but it contained no solution. Maybe I'm missing something fundamental but it's 2021 now and I'd like my Firefox to support a bit of video here and there other than youtube. Has anyone got a solution?

Why after a Firefox upgrade can I no longer access my Microsoft 365 account. I get the log in page from my saved Bookmark, I log on , I then inoput the second tier pin code texted to my phone, but the page then stalls and goes no further . It did yesterday, and the only thing that's different is that today I had a Firefox upgrade pushed when I opened up ??
