Hello,
it has already been a while since the problem appeared, so I have already tried lots of various solution hints, but none worked:
- deleting cache, cookies, temp. etc.
- repairing places.sqlite
- deleting profiles / places.sqlite
of course all these supported by log out in all devices running Firefox.
Reinstalling Firefox didn't help as well let alone using Firefox on a fresh Windows installation.
The only thing, which works is to log out from Firefox account and not to log in again, but it is not a solution rather. Otherwise, regardless what I delete, bookmarks alone or whole folders, or even all of them, so there is not a single on, minutes after logging into Firefox account, all of them are back, creating duplicates over duplicates and making bookmarks a mess and completely unusable.
Having said this, I am strongly convinced that the source of a problem is none of my Firefox instances on any device but some central place for the account, from which this unwanted synchro comes back. Deletions are likely not recognized there, so each time a local version is smaller than the central one, it goes with the restoring...
I would highly appreciate your support, since the issue is really annoying and I am a bit helpless with it now.
Many thanks in advance.
