For years, it was possible to click "restore previous session" to get back all one's tabs after some problem. Now it's gone. Have you seen the hundreds and hundreds of people putting this question into Help? With no answers? Has this feature been unwisely removed with the latest upgrade, or hidden somewhere completely unintuitive?

I've used Firefox for years on my iMac with its 5K display. The UI was fine. Today I had to delete and then re-install Firefox because the program had started crashing repeatedly. I lost a lot of bookmarks & tabs. Upon opening the new install, I saw that Firefox now shows a miniaturized UI that is very difficult to read. I refer to the UI elements (tabs, bookmarks bar, URL/search field), not the web pages themselves. As part of the installation, I went through all the settings, and I didn't see any controls for the sizes of UI elements. So I searched the internet and found many reports of similar problems over many years. I tried a few suggested changes to about:config settings. Nothing has worked. I am exasperated. What am I missing? Can anyone help?

There was a minor Windows update on my work Windows 11 Ent laptop which I did and it restarted after which FireFox doesn't launch.

I am sure my sys-admin did not restrict this.

Why does every update include loads of stuff that worked fine before but then gets broken?

BBC News webpage - always was fine - update 105.0 arrived - now has to be zoomed down to display correctly on a 12" Macbook. Default appears to be trying to display a mobile layout.

I don't want to have to adjust the zoom every time I look at it. And I don't want to set the zoom to 90% for everything.

Any suggestions for a cure? Thanks.

Hi. When I am on Outlook email account, it stopped doing spell and grammer check, which usually indicates with red wave underline idit's incorrect. It was working before. I conatcted Outlook already. After testing, it works with Safari browser on computer, and Android on my mob. Only when I use Firefox, which I have been using for years. I checked Firefox settings, and it's ticked on automatic correction. I did a few times untick and tick again, turned off and on computer. But still no luck. Why??? Please help.

I just got a new iPhone SE and want to transfer my Firefox passwords, maybe home-screen favorites, but not all the history, extensive bookmarks, etc. from my Mac. Is there a way to do that?

Firefox will not allow me to log into Nest home page with google account. When google account is selected at login it will loop back to select which account to log into with. Never had this issue with previous versions of Firefox Have used the open/option to determine that the issue continues to exist. Version 102 Mac laptop

The Firefox file "chs_intelligence.json" appears in the main hard drive of my Macbook Pro laptop, along with more of these files with names such as "chs_intelligence.json.15q0fp" etc. What is the function of these files, and can I delete them without disrupting the functioning of the browser? I am using Firefox version 115.1.0esr (64-bit), Mac OS x 10.14. Thank you.

My Bookmarks did not transfer over from either my prior Firefox browser or my Safari Browser. I could not find the bookmarks.plist for Safari, and the upgrade did not ask if I wanted my Firefox bookmarks transferred over.

I use Spanish/English dictionaries. I also use Web sites in English and in Spanish. I want spellcheck to detect the language and enable the proper spell check. I always had that ability in Safari, for example.

Update your information about Proton Mail from Canton, Geneva. It was Protonmail.com. I like this company because my email is encrypted from the moment it leaves my computer until it reaches its destination. My problem is that you are telling me that my email address, [edited] @proton.me is not valid. It most certainly is valid and it works in my email. But signing into Firefox I was told my email isn't valid, and there's nothing but (hopefully) talking with you about it that could change your program's mind. Please update your program, because very soon protonmail.com won't get my email to me. The company has changed its name and how it does business. And I love Firefox because it is much safer and more secure than Gmail was -- they just pulled my account one day along with my contact list. At the time I was president of our community's Arts and Crafts Club with 170 members. It was very hard to write that month's newsletter. Please fix my problem.

Using online recommendations I was able to force the general theme to white, however individual segments of the FF UI still retain black (see the images). I want to whiten them too. I saw a heap of color related settings in about:config. I set one of them, layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override, to 1 but that had no effect on the appearance of the said elements.

Apple's built in spell checker on the Mac is unparalleled. Not only does it integrate with the native dictionary, it also automatically detects and switches languages as you type. Right-clicking on an unfamiliar word brings up the "look up" option which fins the word in the dictionary. It's furthermore smart enough to detect misspelled words which are correct words in another language. I don't know how apple achieved this, it's remarkable.

Anyway, Firefox displaces this functionality on the mac with their own dictionary, which although good, is not as good as the native spell checking and dictionary.

Is there a way to enable the native dictionary for Firefox on the Mac?

The last few days, I've been having issues printing with the built-in PDF viewer, but only on eBay. The invoices and labels will look fine in the preview, but when printed, any images on them will come out garbled and corrupted.

I tried to print using Chrome and had no issues. Would this be just a Firefox issue, or an issue with eBay and Firefox.

Asked earlier about deleting and doing a reinstall. Would that mean losing bookmarks, profile etc.? I have backed those up and would like to know if anything else might be required.

YoutubeTV is suddenly not working on Firefox, fine elsewhere ... they suggest doing complete reinstall.

My old 2009 MacBook Pro broke, got fixed, and now the backup won't transfer. So I need a new Firefox.

OS X El Capitan V10.11.6 is the latest this old computer will handle. On the mozilla.org download page, the app on the .dmg that gets downloaded says it wants OS X 10.12 or later.

I'd appreciate your suggestions.

I am experiencing many times that Firefox prints garbage, not what's on the screen. To get around the problem I switch to Safari.

Is anyone aware of this or I am the only one experiencing it? Is this a known bug?

I think Firefox just updated to 106.0.1 (64-bit). Since then I am not able to play videos on certain sites that I need to for work. I get a message "This video cannot be played (error code 224003)" This happened last year and I can't figure out how I fixed it other than it is definitely Firefox.

I had 3 windows open on my laptop, suddenly I only have 1. Where did the other two go??? The tabs aren't even showing up in my history. This is not the first time this has happened. I am beyond frustrated! Where do they go? How can I get them back? What can I do to stop this from happening????

For years I have used Firefox and every update has been seemless. This one is terrible!!

Every time I click to open a new tab, it opens a new page Every time I try to change tabs from previous to the update, it will not change. I am stuck on that tab Every time a new page is created I cannot open it because it has a "block pop up windows" and this is a setting that I did not change. I have had to turn off all blocking just to be able to change my password, to be able to typoe here.

You have basically stopped my studies until this can be rectified and I doubt anyone will repond to this message
