I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Hello! I have used Firefox on and off so I don't have a time frame of when this would have started exactly, but I have had some random completely black screens on both of my monitors dating back to at least 2-3 weeks ago that can only be fixed by powering down the entire PC. I've reinstalled my (NVIDIA) GPU drivers, rearranged display-port cables and just about anything before finally finding a fix, switching to edge. So far I've gone a week without black screening when with Firefox I'd get around 4 give or take a week (some days getting to 3 alone). I don't know what could cause it but I have noticed it only happens when first starting a video. Mostly YouTube but other video sites seem to have also caused it occasionally, I would just like to know what could be causing this, as I do prefer Firefox vastly and would like to switch back as soon as I can.

Will provide anything else as necessary!

I am using https://infiniteajaxscroll.com on my website https://madway.net . When I scroll down and new set of topics loads, if it contains html5 video it will not load, stay loading. Works fine on Edge browser and Android browser.

When filling out forms in Firefox, it offers to autofill everything - first, middle, and last name, home address, credit card info, just now it even showed it has my social security number. When I go into Settings/Privacy & Security/Forms and Autofill, and click to view Saved Addresses/Saved Credit Cards, there are no entries to edit or remove. Why does Firefox have this info saved, and how can I remove it?

My laptop updated system just now without closing the browser. After restarting, there is no restore option for firefox. No recently closed taps and windows. But the history is correct stored. I had opened 3 windows with many tabs. I/m wondering if there is any method to restore the windows instead of click the history one by one. There are hundreds of tabs....

So over this. Have been using FF for decades. Why FF does now randomly forget my previous session. Works fine for momths and then suddenly all previous session tabs are gone and recently closed windows loads a blank tab.

And yes, we have tried all the supposed fixes.

On a late model Dell laptop, there are no domains listed under Exceptions-Cookies and Site Data. When I key in a domain (whether using www., http, https, or just the domain name by itself.) and click on Allow, that website is not added. It's the same as if browser security is stuck on Remove All Websites. With the same Privacy and Security settings on my desktop, I do not have this problem, so it appears not to be a matter of altering particular settings. Short of removing and reloading Firefox on the laptop, which might work but not teach anybody anything, are there suggestions?

I have 2 pages where I recently inserted a new logo in SVG format. Unfortunately, the standard img src=... code does not display the top line of large text in the logo, although opening the SVG file itself displays everything normally with the full text. This effect is visible on my blog at: https://blog.tripsoverpoland.pl/. On the second page at: https://tripsoverpoland.pl/ I had the same effect, but I found a workaround on some forum in the form of code: "<object data="TOPWPPLOGO.svg" type="image/svg+xml" style="width:100%; border:0; margin:0; padding:0;"></object>" and thanks to this the logo is displayed in its entirety on the page. Unfortunately, I cannot use such a code directly in Wordpress, because I upload the logo there through the application, and in the place of the logo I cannot use my own html code. Is there any effective way to solve this problem in Wordpress? Although I do not know if this is a problem with Wordpress or Firefox, because in all other browsers with a blog logo in SVG format there is no problem. Currently on macOS Firefox 117.0.1 and in the last week I noticed I can't authenticate with my Yubikey anymore. The browser will prompt for the key ("touch your security key", etc.). While the prompt will go away after I activate my key, the browser window won't advance past the authentication page. Short story-- I haven't been able to use my Yubikey for any site recently.

version 117.0 about to update. I am a SQL Server specialist, and know virtually nothing about web servers, browsers etc. I need to access the AZURE Portal in a private window to give access to a legacy login. I am now getting the firefox enable HTML5 Storage (Local and Session) in a private window before I can continue. I can get in fine in chrome without doing anything at all. What do I need to do in words of one syllable, such as go to the 3 bars, find this option, change this to that etc. Apologies, but any developer technical words about the web, or browsers will make my eyes to glaze over! It was all working up to about 1 week ago - new version with new options? Thanks, Clive

Im having an issue with my Firefox developer Eidition (v 117.0b9 -64bit), where im not able to "paste" text on whatsapp web since 18th Aug 2023. (pasting imgs is fine though)

Tested other ways to paste using right click / Ctrl+V but it didnt work.. and if i copy something from same whatsapp and re-apply paste, also does not work (again to remind, only pasting text does not work) !

Checking though other browsers "Edge" seems to be ok and i was able to "paste" text normally. I hv yet to check on the issue on normal Firefox Browser.

Using Windows 10. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz RAM 32.0 GB

Since other browsers did not have this issue, i thought of raising this for Firefox devs to hv a look at it. Maybe some update done recently caused this glitch. So im doing my part in sharing feedback to improve an open source software which i use.

Vs 117.0, installed this morning, will not "continue to spotify", during the login process to the spotify desktop app. All had been working perfectly over the past few months until today. Was able to connect to spotify thru Chrome, but something get changed/broke in the new firefox v117.0 (64 bit), Win 10.

I hoped the problem was solved with Firefox 117.0. But still YouTube videos and YouTube Shorts on Firefox 117.0 getting slower and jerky / stuttering. I have 15-20 tabs open and one to five of them are YouTube tabs. After refreshing Firefox (Settings -> Help -> More troubleshooting information -> Refresh Firefox), it is OK, but only for a short while. Then the problem starts again. Same YouTube videos are running fine with Chrome at the same time.

RAM use of Firefox goes up to over 5 GB.
