In other editors/browsers, when I select text block in multi-line textarea, it selects extra non-existing character at the end of line - see picture 1. When I try to move cursor without selection, there is no space at the end of line. I'd like to replicate this behavior in Firefox.

Can I somehow replicate this behavior? - by changing browser settings, etc. - by editing site code - if possible this would be better.

Cut /copy and paste, nightmare!!!

what is going on? Cut / copy and paste should be easy, its not. Open a new tab, google homepage, and unable to paste the item I had just copied from another tab, it will only work when I go back to original and recopy? Too time consuming this issue.

A folder in profile/default/storage with the name 'moz-extension+++d215ed11-a9b2-4927-bd1f-9755184bbe53' is using up 800MB of data on my install and is continuously adding more data.

The above string (ending 'bbe53') does not match with any extension on the about:support troubleshooting info page.

How do I find out which extension is storage data in this folder?

I am unable to sign into Costco.com using Firefox. I get an error message:

    "Bad Request - Header Field Too Long
    HTTP Error 400. A request header field is too long."

Turning off all extensions didn't help. Opening a private browsing window DID work. Using Chrome DID work.

I just bought a new laptop, and I can't figure out how to import my old bookmarks. I have them in an html file, but the import data option displays only the choice of importing from Edge (a horrible browser), not from file.

I can't even swear that I am seeing bookmarks. The bookmarks line at top is showing only the most recent (very old) searchs in Edge I also am not seeing the option to clear history on exit. What's wrong, and what can I do?

I have installed Firefox on my new computer but some bookmarks did not transfer from my old computer. This includes those bookmarks shich displayed on my old computer only when I clicked on "search bookmarks." When I click "search bookmarks" on the new computer, it only displays bookmarks I have visited on the new computer. New computer is running Windows 11. How do I transfer these bookmarks to my new computer? Thank you.

I've tried other browsers (e.g. brave) and it works fine there. I can close the tab, close the browser, reopen it and I'll still be logged into chatgpt but not with firefox

I've tried clearing cookies, settings them to always be allowed, re-enabling web-rtc, disabling enchanced protection, nothing works. IF i close the active tab with chatgpt even momentarily i will always have to re-log in again when i reopen it

I used Total Adblock on Firefox for a whole year successfully then suddenly Total Adblock did not work (even after I paid the yearly fee for that service). Then Total Adblock claimed Firefox would not allow/support Total Adblock, BUT WAS WORKING WITH MOZILLA TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Is this true ?? When, if ever, will Firefox allow/support Total Adblock ? I have added a two factor authorization and when I sign it it asks me to check my app and enter code. I have no clue as how to do this. I have googled it and it says download google authenticator app and that doesn't work so how in the world do I get the code to enter it . I had to disable two factor because your systems makes no sense, usually you send the code to a phone number not an app that doesn't exist.

I accidentally blocked the DrJava website due to not paying strict attention to what I was doing on the screen when using Firefox to go to this site - www.drjava.org. I don't know how to reset my access to this site and this site only. Is there a method I can accomplish that will reset this ONLY blocked site on my Firefox and Dell PC. Thanks in advance.

I used to have LIBRARY and ORGANIZE in the drop-down menu of Bookmarks...They disappeared after having to RESET Firefox a while back. I have tried searching everywhere, settings, etc.

On newest updated Firefox 116.0.3 (64-bit), Windows 10 Home 10.0.19045. WhatsApp Web has also been updated to latest version. This morning, Web WhatsApp has lost the ability to Copy & Paste - cannot paste anything into the WhatsApp window or chats in Firefox, either from Firefox or from other apps such as Notepad.

WhatsApp Web C&P works perfectly in Chrome as of now. Please look into this.

So I am having trouble using osu.ppy.sh/beatmaps website. Seems like the audio demo play just doesn't work at all even after I reinstall the app. Any suggestion?

I am using Windows 11 and Firefox 116.0.3. Some characters like ‘ ’ “ ” — become weird symbols in Firefox when I copy and paste text containing them to html source text file. This started happening earlier this month, never happened before. Why is this happening now?

Hey, since 2 months firefox started crashing when a video comes to the end. I tried it in troubleshoot mode skipped to min 10:45/10:50 and played. after this 5 sec it just crashed. I noticed it on youtube but tried it on other players and it also happened. Today I also started a video on a other website and it crashed but not when starting youtube videos.

Task Manager detail line can be expanded to show multiple open tabs, and I can sort display by CPU but that doesn't help me identify WHICH SPECIFIC tab is using high CPU. Are there any tools to help me quickly identify (and perhaps End) such high CPU tabs/processes? Thanks!

To get to the point; I would like to make myself available in order to supply the information needed to establish my own website from my own server. I don't want to be forced to buy the rights to my own intellectual property. When I make it known that I am interested in a specific web address for my own use this will be used to gouge my resources and just make me pay a fee for things I don't need. Mozilla says that my website is not secure but I have an SSL certificate and it even later admits that the information is encrypted. I'm not mad, I simply don't want to be bullied and wrangled into purchasing what I don't need. Nobody has the web address I currently have as my ServerName. The more I advertise it while I am working on it, the more likely I will be gouged or it will be stolen out from under me.

I've been working on computational engineering topics on my own for about a year and a half since I have been unemployed. I am interested in developing my own website, free and clear. I have gotten to the point that I can access what I have built on my local network. I run a Macbook Air and dual boot a tower with Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10. I built a website on Github but I want to run my own version on Apache from my Ubuntu OS. So far I have an Apache server running and I can access my website with the web address (httpS://www.example.com) I want from the Ubuntu tower. When I am on my Mac I have to type the IP address of the tower to access the site; the web address won't work. I can do the same thing from my iphone while in the house as well. I have created my own SSL certificate (though I am not a certificate authority). When I access the website on the tower with the web address, Mozilla bonks me with a security warning. It says that there is no ownership information, though when I made the SSL cert, I provided a lot of info. I have a legitimate company verified with the IRS (established Jan 2022). I have a paypal account for any financing I may need to do, though I don't want to support greedy ISPs that horde resources and spy on their clients. I can provide practically any info you may need and I appreciate any advice you can give to help me avoid paying through the nose for a pet project that will NEVER turn a profit, especially if it has any additional overhead. I was given the tower through a contract position and I want to use it to it max value.

All that being said, I appreciate a stranger listening to my problems and considering them for a thoughtful response. I understand you have a boss and you may need to say what you need to say. I will try my best to be respectful; though I am rarely respected.
