Hello. All of a sudden i have been getting prompts just before completing gmail sign is asking if i want to switch to html or default.I chose default, tried to sign in again, and got this legacy version of gmail with messages being listed in html format which is brutal. What caused this ? how do i get it back to the way its always been? Whats going on with this, and why is this even happening? Its also saying i used a tablet or mobile device to sign in twice, and i dont ever do that. How can i get it back to the way its always been? Have tried googling all of this but it happens on its own,and sometimes it doesn,t after i sign out of the html ,and reboot, but its unpredictable, and its like stuff has been altered. Thankyou.

Read all the articles the search brought up about firefox location issues with GMaps. None of them actually fix the firefox location issue. Says I am 100+ miles from where I am. GMaps on Chrome has my exact position. Setting a default location in MS Maps does nothing for Firefox location.

Windows Maps thinks I am in some podunk town I have never heard of, 104 miles due North of my location. Google Maps on Chrome has my location at about 50 feet from my location. Google Maps on Firefox seems to think the wrong windows location is where I am.

I used the links provided in one article. WhatsmyIP thinks I am 1500 miles away in Wasilla Alaska. ??? I am in Tillamook Oregon till tomorrow, then we move to near Portland. I have No Proxy set, nor do I have a VPN turned on.

I tried turning off Windows 10 Location and that helped a webapp running on Firefox know where I am so I was able to run the speedtest for the campground that populates the campground review site. Tried google maps on firefox again, still thinks I am 100+ miles north of my location. This is Just Weird.

The Developers here need to allow us to set a location manually in Firefox as a work around.

When going full-screen on video, the browser doesn't show the full-screen the first time.

For example, when I want to view a full-screen video on YouTube/Disney/Netflix/Prime Video, I select the full-screen button as usual. However the top left-hand side corners always show a thin blue hue. The thin blue hue only goes away when I leave full-screen and re-select it.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? My browser is up-to-date

Recently updated to version 105.0.1 and I've started to have problems with Twitch. I'm unable to login and keep getting the message: "Something went wrong. Please try again." so I cleared the cookies/site data. Still unable to login. I know this isn't an error with my account as I can login via Chrome with no issues. Then I tried downgrading to the previous version 104.0.2 and had no issues with Twitch. Most likely, this new version is creating an error with the Twitch site. Hopefully new updates will address this issue - in the meantime, hoping someone has a solution.

I think the latest update, Firefox 105.01, screwed up my bookmarks. The Star on the address bar is blue for any site. Clicking on it does nothing. Will not edit, three bar menu will not edit, Control D will not edit.

There is now a bar underneath the address bar for a toolbar which was not there previously. I have never used or needed the bookmarks toolbar.

The Release notes for 105.01 (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/105.0.1/releasenotes/?utm_source=firefox-browser&utm_medium=firefox-desktop&utm_campaign=about-dialog) appears as a bookmark in an unrelated folder. It will not delete.

I did look at the release notes right after the update. I closed that tab and did not bookmark it.

Cannot add new bookmarks.

I just discovered on the three bar menu under the Bookmarks menu that 105 shows as the last recent bookmark. Prior recent bookmarks will open up the "edit this bookmark." Only the save button is highlighted & clicking on that does nothing & the menu disappears.

Please fix. Thank you

I always use DuckDuckGo for my search engine, and remove all others. In FF version 105.0.1 the 'remove' button is disabled when Google is selected (see the screenshot). All prior versions of FF have allowed me to remove Google. This version 105.0.1 always shows 'Search with Google or enter address' in the address bar. Prior versions show 'Search with DuckDuckGo or enter address'. I have attached a screenshot of the two latest versions. I am running Debian 11.5, 5.10.0-18-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.140-1 (2022-09-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux.

Good morning, There are multiple questions. 1. Now everytime I click on a link in an article it opens a completely different page of firefox instead of just making a tab on the line with all the other tabs. It also loads that new page half way off the screen on the right hand side and I have to drag it over, open it full sized and then screw around with cutting and pasting the url into a new tab on the old firefox page. How do I stop it from doing this? It's realllllly annoying.

2. It is screwing up some of my graphics by putting horizontal lines into the picutres to where you can't view it. Specifically on jigsaws from jigsawplanet.com. I work on a gaming site and this really impacts my ability to do my job (or have fun).

3. One one particular site HEXrpg.com, I set my view at 120% and every page I go it it reverts it back to 100%. This did NOT used to happen and it only seems to be happening on that particular site..... However, it could be on other sites as I've had to set my entire computer to 120% now so I can read the posts on that one site and now everything is too big for my screens in the other sites.

I don't know what you guys were trying to do, but whatever it was, can you please put it back to the way it was before this last (possibly last 2) updates. If not I'm going to have to switch to Edge or Chrome and I really don't want to have to do this because I've been with Firefox forever. HELP!?! Deborah DeVane

I have Autofill turned off and have also gone into about:config and set to False all form autofilling options. Yet FF continues to autofill my first and last name into respective fields in a form I use for my customer contacts in a web-based business software I use.

It does that when the fields are already filled with a customer contact's' names, as well as when I start with an empty form to enter in a new customer contact.

I don't even know how FF got my name nor where to go to delete it so it will stop autofilling it.

What's the solution?

The latest version of Firefox is giving me a nightmare. Previously, when I downloaded something, an alert would automatically pop-up asking me whether I want to save the file or just open it. For those files which I only want to open them once, I would click Open. Then, I would either save the file into another format or copy the content to somewhere else and be done with it. Those 'Opened' file were just temp files which would be deleted automatically after some time. But since the previous update of Firefox, the option to 'open downloaded files as temp files' seems to have been completely gone. I've already manually change the settings for all types of files back to 'Always ask' but the files I 'opened once' are no longer just temp files but permanently saved in the Downloads folder. I personally seldom save things in C drive. Today I occasionally opened the Downloads folder and was astonished to see that all the 'temp files' I opened last month are all saved in there. It's very annoying. Why should I even be wasting my time to clear these temp files manually? The only reason I've been using Firefox over Chrome for these many years is because Chrome always forces me to save all the downloaded files to my local drive and doesn't provide me the option to open them as temp files. If Firefox has become just like Chrome, forcing me to save all unwanted files to my local drive, what's the point for me to continue using Firefox?

I am using Firefox 105.01 on a Macbook Pro (2022) with OS 12.6. My default email is Outlook for desktop. I do not use the mac email program. When I try to share a web page via email using Firefox's file/share/email, I get the dialog box shown in the attached screen shot. I have followed all instructions for setting up outlook as my default email on firefox (mailto) and it still results in this dialog box asking me to set up an email service. Can someone help me out of this trap? The work around of copying the URL into an email is doable, but it is many more steps than using Firefox's share function.

With thanks for any assistance.

Sarah
