I am visually impaired and I need the Fonts to be Bold. I have changed the font and size but I can hardly read them they are so light. Especially on the Book mark page.

In Chrome, I can hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open developer tools, add the Media tab, and go to the Media tab, and I can see the codec and what decoder is being used.

How do I do the same thing in Firefox?

On my Macbook air (m1 2020 14.3.1 (23D60)) /etc/hosts is ignored by Firefox 123

i've tried multiple offered (old) solutions from stack but non work.

FAILED ATTEMPTS:

• DNS over https -> off
• network.trr.excluded-domains ... tried to add the domains in the dns over https exeptions ... didn't work either
• added the domains to network.trr.excluded-domains
• cleared cache
• restart ff
• migrating all my /etc/hosts config from multiple domains on a single line to separate lines did. Hope this helps someone.

• sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in the terminal

Background: I run my own server and I cannot access them over the internet if I am on the same network (rounter dissallows this) This is annoying as I cannot develop via my laptop.

/etc/hosts is changed and in the terminal all (ssh etc...) works fine.

What is the proper way of doing this these days?

I'm inspecting an element and when I use the 3 dot menu and search, it shows me results in sources tab. I try to edit the result, but it won't let me edit the sources tab. It only lets me edit in the elements tab. How do I search the elements tab? It keeps sending me to sources. It would be great if sources was made read/write as well. Many thanks.

I have Yahoo.com on my desktop which takes me to my email account. I would like to get it on my task bar but when I try and move it down it is adding it to Firefox on the task bar. I can't seem to get it down there to stay

I continued reading on FireFox, and found that there is a "Refresh" procedure that might work, AND IT WORKED!

On occasion, I come across a web page that offers to send an email if you click on the link eg, I was researching regulations for personal care homes in GA and there was an option to send an email to the administrators to ask them for more information.

So, I click on the link and rather than getting the email address, firefox goes to open the "mail" application on my mac.

Well, I never use that application because it is too slow and bulky. I can't use basic text options like bolding or italics and such. Not to mention, it takes forever to load.

I use GMX for mail and it is accessed through Firefox. It is not an application that "lives" on my computer.

How can I get Firefox to respond to these email buttons on websites by going to GMX?

There are various search engines with their own term and conditions for ranking. If I want to rank my website [removed website] how many months would it take after everything is done?

Okay so basically for example lets say i want to permanently just for my screen have this image deleted/or hidden whatever how can I do this without using an extension?

I believe someone brought up usercontent.css?

For instance there is a site I use, which has a list of my posts, with buttons to delete the posts. I click the delete button, this opens an "Are you sure?" modal window, I click delete, the modal closes, I am on the same original list page with the same URL, but now I have another pseudo-page in my back button history that I have to go through.

If I do this with three more posts, I will have an additional three back button history dropdown entries to navigate back through.

When I exceed the number of entries shown in the dropdown, I have to keep clicking through the quasi-paginated list of duplicated back button history entries for the same exact page, to get back to the page I was on before ever going to the list page.

Since updating, "Exit Full Screen" now causes viewed page to become a narrow sliver at the top of the screen, and the page unusable. I typically drag pictures from my desktop to Facebook, etc., but can no longer do that. (I know there is another way to access pictures from the desktop, but it is currently unreliable on my machine, which is very slow and wonky right now.) Can I revert to the former function where "Exit Full Screen" just makes the page smaller but still usable?

Firefox 104.0 64-bit

I hid a photo on a webpage to see if its space would collapse and bring the text closer toger so I could make a screeenshot. I right-clicked on the photo and selected "Block Element". The photo disappeared, but the space it had occupied remained (outline of photo, filled with background color). I right clicked in the space, but there was no "Unblock Element" to select.

I looked online for an answer to this question, which seems not to have been addressed specifically. One of the results suggested using an add-on called Firebug; another suggested uBlock. I guess another question I might ask would be, why would it require an add-on to unblock an element that was blocked using Firefox?

It is not vital that I get the photo back, as I can contrive to never visit that particular webpage again, but my inquiring mind wants to know how to unblock an element I have blocked—particularly since it was so easy to block it in the first place.

Don't comfortable search results issue. I'm nervous about, get a result and than show another many issue. That is no need for us. why show it? example image below.

I frequently have difficulty when I need to make plain-test copies of web pages. These are pages that only allow "Select All" to select parts of pages, so that important parts of the pages cannot be selected, or so that a large number of select-and-copy cycles are required to copy the information on a webpage. The Firefox extensions that I have tried like the old "right to click" do not seem to help much. With old versions of Windows, I would use print-to-file for a generic plain-text printer, but that does not provide a readable file on Win 10.
