How do I go into Gmail and edit/add/delete email addresses??? A couple months ago I read online how to do it since there is no icon or anything on the Gmail "Inbox" page any more to allow for additions/corrections. ONline I found a way to do that. I try now and the 'fix' that is offered online is to be sure you have downloaded the current Firefox version, which I just did. (65.0.2) Following online directions of clicking on Gmail in top left hand corner, nothing happens! Clicking on Gmail logo does nothing either! This should NOT be this different to make changes to people's email addresses/groups. I closed out of Firefox and reopened browser and that did nothing either.

Please help!

Thanks, dcseguin

I use Firefox for school on my school laptop and the school desktops, which works fine. At work though, when I visit certain sites, Firefox almost acts like CSS is being disabled. I have taken a screenshot (attached) which shows how our school site looks on my work machine. The URL to the site is this: http://helenacollege.edu/

The only add-ons I'm using are: 1. Adobe Acrobat (currently disabled) 2.Open H264 Video (default Firefox plugin) 3.Widevine Content Decryption Module (default Firefox plugin)

So I don't think the add-ons are a problem. I have tried clearing all cookies, website data, and the cache, all of which hasn't solved the issue. I also get an error message saying the latest Firefox updates can't be downloaded and I need to do a fresh install. I have tried the fresh install, but the issue persists.

when ever I switch from one user to another user, when I come back to the first user Firefox won't let me change Tabs or switch to other open pages. Which can only be solved by quitting Firefox. I can reproduce this behaviour every time. In some instances it is showing the beach ball and has to be 'Force quit'. I can't reproduce this it seems random.

I want to be able to sync only a single bookmark folder between home and work. I don't want or need most of the work bookmarks at home, and I don't want my home bookmarks at work. However, I do sometimes run across sites at one I would like to use at the other, and currently the only way I can find to do that is email the link to myself. It would be much easier if I could just have one shared folder I can sync between the two. Is there an extension that does this? I've seen a few bookmark extensions, but I can't find one that just syncs one folder.

I am trying to make a CORS get request to my server. My server is properly CORS enabled.

I am sending an additional header so preflighted option call is sent by browser.

This is working in Chrome but not in firefox. In firefox i can see the options call with 200 as return status code but the subsequent get call is not sent which is happening perfectly in Chrome. My server is also using certificate issued by Global CA like DigiCert . This CA is present in Firefox trust list.

In firefox i see these messages in console

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://serverurl. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ does not match ‘https://tryit.w3schools.com, *’).[Learn More]

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://serverurl. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed).[Learn More] I am making XMLHttpRequest call to trigger the call.

I am not able to figure why the call is failing in firefox

Every time I start Firefox with a new profile, despite trying in several ways to make this not happen, Firefox automatically makes a series of requests to URL's and will retry them repeatedly when those requests fail.

``` GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 POST https://shavar.services.mozilla.com/downloads?client=Firefox&appver=60.2&pver=2.2 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 GET https://search.services.mozilla.com/1/firefox/60.2.2/default/en-US/AU/default/default/nov17-1 POST https://shavar.services.mozilla.com/downloads?client=Firefox&appver=60.2&pver=2.2 ... (and so on) ```
I am trying to make this not happen. I'm ideally looking for a setup where Firefox will make no requests at all without me explicitly telling it to but just eliminating the two requests above would be a great start!
Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Uncheck "Provide search suggestions" in `about:preferences#search`
2. I've followed these instructions --- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections
2. Here are a combination of select settings from my `user.js` preferences file that I put in to place before opening Firefox in my attempts to stop this. Some of these may or may not be relevant but I'm including them so you have some idea what I've tried: ``` user_pref("app.update.enabled", false); user_pref("browser.tabs.crashReporting.sendReport", false); user_pref("browser.crashReports.unsubmittedCheck.enabled", false) user_pref("browser.search.update", false); user_pref("browser.search.suggest.enabled", false); user_pref("extensions.systemAddon.update.enabled", false); user_pref("extensions.update.enabled", false); user_pref("browser.safebrowsing.downloads.remote.enabled", false); user_pref('browser.search.geoSpecificDefaults.url', ); user_pref('media.gmp-manager.url', ); user_pref('browser.safebrowsing.provider.mozilla.updateURL', ); user_pref('browser.safebrowsing.provider.mozilla.gethashURL', ) user_pref('browser.search.cohort', ); user_pref("services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.urlbar.suggest.searches", false); ``` Any ideas?
Today, my Firefox suddenly (just after open browser) show me this page: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/Avatar-Experiment-P2?...
The URL seems to be owned by Mozilla but I am concerned about whether this page is credible because I often hear about frauds like this.
Do you know other way to confirm the credibility by except checking URL with eyes?
---
For Mozilla's staff: If this survey is yours, how about take survey with advance notice on e-mail, social media, or the pop up of Firefox Home tab? I think this is better for not to perplex the users.
note: I am Japanese, so, if I have some wording mistake on this post, please don't hesitate to tell about that.
HOWTO: disable master password auto prompt dynamically
Hi, this is not question but an answer :) While I was trying to figure out how I could get rid of the master password prompt that pops up on every page that I once saved the password for (because I often don't want to login on these pages, just take a look), I found many people asking this. The solution was the MasterPasswordPlus addon for Firefox which stopped working with Quantum.
So here's how to do it with webextensions. Please note that I did that just for myself and will not publish it because I'm to lazy to add all the error handling, do updates etc. I just provide this as is, and whoever wants to use it locally or maybe make an addon from it: please go ahead and use the code any way you want! I also post it here so that it can be found in Google for other people looking for this.
With these two files (get your own icons please) you will have a webextension that shows a little icon in the URL bar. When you click it, the "Remember logins and passwords for websites" options in the preferences will toggle on and off. When it's off, you won't be asked for the master password on sites that you stored before. When it's on, you get the popup asking for it. When it was off and you want your password filled in on a page, you have to switch it on and reload the page.
Very basic functionality, but maybe someone has fun extending it.
cu, Frank
