When I select a link in an email, it opens op Edge, rather than Firefox. This just started happening today. I have followed multiple options for making Firefox my default Browser, but nothing seems to work. I am using Windows 11 Home Addition. Thank You!

I visited Twitter and Facebook looking to contact Graham Hancock. I had to signup. But now everytime I open my browser ---- Twitter and Facebook automatically open up. HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE 2.

i now keep getting a pop up window saying that this profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create q new profile. what am I to do?

You search for a word using Control+F like any other program. It's highlighted on the page if it's there. Or you would think so. But no. Why does Firefox so often say it found a word when you can clearly see it's not there on the page? Nothing is highlighted. It even gives you the number of results on the Find bar. Some may be there but others are not. This has been like this for years. Why?

I have had two issues since transferring to Firefox from Chrome. Both result in error messages:

1. I have a Revolut bank account for which I get an error message (see below) when I try to log in. When I click the 'Restart Log In' button it retruns me to the orginal log in page with my name and on clicking this I am logged in. I have contacted Revolut support but they say the issue is with Firefox.

2. Other issue I have is that in trying to access some websites I get a messaeg saying that the site cannot be verified with a button to 'Try Again'. Once I click this button I can access the page.

I can work around these issues but they are annoying.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. Is there a way to use the default xfce windows instead of firefox`s own? I mean I have my own setting in the xfce window manager that are not applyed to firefox. fo example: I unchecked Raise windows when clicking inside application window, that is not applyed to firefox, I also have a context menu when right clicking on other windows title bars that I can customize, In firefox I have something total else.

My Firefox Menu dropdowns disappeared so I read that you should hit "alt" button to restore it. It only works temporarily and dropdowns disappear every 5 minutes. And Firefox is not saving passwords when I visit websites. (I checked and I still have all my passwords saved in Firefox Settings.) And I have "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" checked in Firefox Privacy Settings.

I started having problems with Firefox when I installed "Hide my IP" add-on because I wanted to change my IP address. I added it because I was getting website advertisement popups telling me to buy a VPN. I disabled "Hide my IP" yesterday. And I'm also getting more website popups now. Do I have to tweak Firefox Settings to stop all of these problems?

Firefox has been up-to-date and I'm using Windows 10.

well your latest update not only crashed my browser, but also crashed my computer, now it takes 1-2 minutes to load a page after your recent update. oh. it also changed all of my settings! Great job in setting the internet back 20 years, it makes dial up look lightening fast!

My system recently slowed considerably. When I checked what was happening, I found there were up to 14 Firefox 'windows' showing in my Task Manager, and collectively these 'windows' were consuming over 25% of the computer memory (650+MB) even with Firefox just opened as the initial browser screen; no addresses etc had yet to be added. I've followed many of the troubleshooting suggestions, but to no avail. I have not reset the browser as yet as I need to understand the root of the problem

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

Please Help
