Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

Please Help

After using gnome-tweaks to change my system fonts, Firefox has unexpectedly gone silent and no longer shows text in areas like the search bar, tabs, settings, bookmarks, and menus. Rendering websites works just fine, but Firefox itself won't show any text.

Firefox opened with a set of questions just now. I did what was appropriate then it was like FF reset. All of my home page shortcut boxes were gone and I want them back. FF/Mozilla sent a verification code to my email. I typed the url for my gmail account and FF did nothing. A page came up with the url and it was blank. The tab had an icon grayed out and the page was blank. So I had to go to Edge to sign in to my gmail to get the code. I am at work. I do not have time to search through a plethora of articles trying to find how to get my shortcuts back. Why did they go away in the first place. This is maddening. I've used FF for years and it has always been simple. I just need an answer to what should be a simple question.

I have about 99 entries saved at the present time in the Firefox Passwords Manager.

I would love to store these in different folders if possible--bill pay, medical, social networking, for instance.

Is such as feature available?

I thought of getting a free password manager such as proton and move most of the password entries into it, leaving the most important ones under the Firefox Passwords Manager.

Proton asks for permission to access all my websites. I understand that this may be necessary in order to save passwords. However, this makes me nervous. If I give this permission, will they be able to access my financial data when I access my brokerage? Will ad blockers be able to access my financial data?

I opened my laptop out of sleep mode and it quickly reset itself, and when it loaded back up Firefox no longer worked. Everything was working fine prior to the reset, but now I can load any websites, nor do any of the menus within Firefox work. I keep clicking on the menu button in the top right, but nothing happens. The only thing that seems to work is the add-ons icon. I can click that and it navigates me to the add-ons page, and from there I can get in to my settings, but that's it.

No websites will load at all. I've already tried configuring my firewall to allow Firefox, and I've removed it and re-added it to my exceptions list, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know what might be causing this, and what can be done to fix it?

After Ubuntu updated the GPU driver, Firefox stopped rendering and only works when disabling hardware acceleration. See screenshot attached. I'm using ubuntu/ RTX4090 and nvidia-driver-535 (propietary, tested). Attaching the apt upgrade logs that caused this to happen. Firefox is the only application that suffers from this.

Is there any fix happening soon for this?

I don't know where the problem lies. I have a number of videos on youtube and when I was doing some work in markdown I clicked on an older link and was redirected to a website with some bozo trying to promote something - not mine. I tried a few more times and got a bunch of different websites and bozos. This is from clicking on the shared link on the the youtube page.

I don't know whether I've something on my computer, your browser that's causing it, or something somehow on youtube????

I have Firefox set to reopen everything that was open when it closed. That only seemed to work if I had one window open, but I usually have a half dozen or more open with anywhere from a few tabs to well over 100 tabs in a window. The most reliable way I found to have those all reopen was to restart my computer. Firefox would be closed, but next time I opened it all the windows and tabs were there again. I needed to close Firefox a few minutes ago and didn't want to save all the other programs I was in the middle of, so (I thought I had done this before) I right-clicked the Firefox icon on the Taskbar and told it to close all windows. When I opened Firefox the next time it only opened one window (unfortunately the least important one), and only had two other windows in the History | Recently Closed Windows (also not very important windows). Are there any backup or other files where I could get back the other windows I had open? Unfortunately if I have a tab open for a month, for example, it is not saved in today's tabs, and it's not feasible to scroll back through thousands of listings in the history trying to figure out which tabs I had open. I switched from windows 10 to 11 and to a new laptop. Here in my new laptop Asus tuf 15 ,even though it has better RAM , internet connection, cache memory, cores the FIREFOX doesnot function properly. It's extremly laggy specially when I use YOURUBE . In my earlier HP laptop with 8 GB ram I could use 10-15 tabs at one time .It would still not lag . It could do web development at the same time I could watch youtube tutorials. But now I barely open 4-5 tabs the youtube starts freezing up to the extent that I really get frustrated. Please so something or I will have to switch to BRAVE browser or something.

Today when I opened my browser, my shortcuts were replaced with Chinese ones. How did this happen and where did my old ones go?

My laptop was sleeping, and not restarted. I had reopened my firefox.

What is the best way to restore my shortcuts and make sure random ones do not come back.

I am reaching out as a member of Iowa State University's LTI Integration Team regarding a technical issue we are currently experiencing.

Specifically, we have encountered JSON errors when utilizing various LTI's from Canvas, but the problem is isolated to the Firefox browser only.

I am having a problem with my Firefox homepage. There are several things going on like the red, yellow and green dots on the left side of the menu change to light dark. Some of My Bookmarks appears twice and one was added. I did a Refresh and troubleshooting but to see if my home page would go back to normal but it did not. I think I have a bug that is causing these changes on my Mozilla Browser. I need to get the browser back to normal.

I use Duck duck go as my default search engine. I've noticed that after the last couple of updates, the default has changed to Google. This has not happened before. There must be a bug somewhere that is causing this to happen in the new version of Firefox.

Lost an open session in Firefox - folder sessionstore-backups doesn't contain anything. Not even the upgrade recovery. Lost or is there still something else I can do? Thank you

I am accessing my ISP to download the security software. I need to be able to select the Operating System. When I click on the drop down box I am prompted for the OS, but when I select it the drop down box does not populate. I then get a message to select the OS. This works with Microsoft Edge.

Outlook is not working properly in Firefox. Works fine in other browsers but I prefer Firefox. It is only showing the first 20 or so e-mails, will not show e-mails in any other box, i.e sent etc.
