After Firefox updates itself, the restarted browser session is unresponsive to mouse clicks - can't follow links, can't respond to UI dialog boxes, the browser is unusable for practical purposes. It's fixed after another manual restart. This unfortunately breaks all the streamlining Firefox has done to restore the session after an update, because none of that stuff works the same after a manual quit and restart. This is happening on MacOS, and it happens across multiple computers.

Menu-pulldowns malfunction, after a while of usage, on a large 2ndary monitor, on M1-Max macOS Sonoma -- I have to shutdown, and restart Firefox to re-activate !

Whenever I'm trying to open the AWS accounts I'm getting the below error please help me with it

I use Firefox for Mac. Often when I want to click on a link or complete an on-line form, a long list of unwanted suggestions pops up and orevents me doing this. Only by hitting Escape can I get control back.

By the way, I don't want any solution which involves clearing the cache, as I value that help.

I change nothing in my settings and I am now on Dark background everywhere despite having: - forced the system settings (OS) to stay in light background - in about:preferences appearance I've manually selected (forced) the light background - in about:config I've tried to switch the browser.theme.content-theme to "1" (instead of "0")

this is really frustrating, I would like to get a better "reading" of what happens, as an Engineer I am happy to also squint at logs if needed, please consider adding a preference / settings change log file

I set up a Primary Password, but I can easily get around it by clicking 'cancel' then clicking 'home' icon. then I can get into ANY of the links. For others who have access to my computer NOT having that access is Exactly why I set up Primary password in the first place. Surely there must be a way to fix this???? haas2128@comcast.net Thanks. Tell me how to delete Google as the default search engine & replace it with another one. If I can't do this I will remove Firefox and also the Mozilla VPN from all my computers. I have used Firefox for years and supported Mozilla. As far as I'm concerned you people have lost your way if you do not give people the option to change their default search engine.

Always when want to use the Website "Weather.com" my tab brakes down with the announcment" Der Tab ist gerade abgestürzt" which means: the tab just crashed. I do not know why this happens. Is there a way for me to retrieve my bookmarks? They have followed me through several macbooks, and reinstallations and this is the first time they've gone missing.

I have an odd situation happening and I'm hoping someone can share some insight or knowledge on how to get it resolved.

The short story is that I have a blog for my crochet business, along with an accompanying Pinterest account.

Back in December my blog was hacked for a few weeks. I got it resolved with my hosting provider and it's been working fine since.

However, at the same time I noticed that my Pinterest views dropped to almost zero, after years of very good traffic numbers from that account. When I went in to test my pins that go to my blog, I found that they lead to a spam website.

Out of curiosity, I decided to test the same pins using a private Firefox window. Those worked perfectly, leading to my blog content. I also tested them using the Safari and Chrome browsers, and those also worked perfectly.

So it seems that the only time my pin links go to the spam site is when I'm using a regular Firefox window. I don't know if that explains the enormous drop in views, but I find it just very strange that I only see it happen with the regular Firefox window.

Hi. I've used Firefox as my main web browser on desktop computers for over a year now, and it's so far been the best web browser I've used.... except for one issue when it comes to major updates to the app.

I have Firefox set to open up on the tab/site I was using before I end a session and close the app. Whenever there is a new major version release, the update gets installed the next time the browser is launched before showing the browser window. But, when the window opens back up, I'm not sent back to the site/tab I was previously using. A new tab automatically opens up to a Mozilla page saying that Firefox has updated, along with a large promotion for another Mozilla service.

I then need to manually close this new tab, and find the tab I was previously using during the last session before the auto-update. This is mildly irritating since it takes some control away over how I want Firefox to start up, and the new update tabs seem to just be used as a way to promote other Mozilla products seeing how the actual "Firefox has updated" text is very small.

Is there a way to turn off these automatic new tabs after every major auto-update? Or if there isn't, could an option to change the way Firefox notifies about updates be added in a future version, such as using the OS' notification option instead of opening a new tab?

Currently running the latest version of Firefox on an iMac, with Mac OS Sonoma.

I dont know why but all of a sudden when I turn my imac on I am having things start up and they never did before. So how do I keep Firefox from starting up when I turn imac on? I am getting really tired of having to shut off apps.

How to add the date of the site listed in History.

As it is there is the sidebar: History, then Name, Tags, Location, and Date but the column is empty, no date appears there.

I can't figure out what setting to fix this: every time I click to open a new window, about 35 tabs automatically open up that I have closed several times in the past. I simply want one new window without any previously opened tabs.

I've tried:

• clearing my entire search history several times
• shutting down Firefox and reopening (which opens up all those tabs)
• uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it
• initiating the latest Firefox updates
• restarting my computer
• turning my computer on and off
• looking through every single preference in my Firefox settings (I've unchecked anywhere it talks about opening tabs)
• reading various articles on Firefox's support page and on other support websites to try to figure this out (there's little info on this problem; the support is mostly about how to save previously opened tabs

Please help! I'm tired of having to close down all these tabs every single time I have to restart my computer or have to shut down Firefox. It slows down everything I'm trying to do.
