I've been trying to reply to my previous question here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1440060, but my reply ends with an error - c attached. Therefore, I'm starting this new thread.

First, thank you for the answers. I have run into an issue and also have a follow-up question.

Follow up question: A while ago, I changed the autoplay settings in about:config, but I noticed they reverted to default. Do these settings reset with major browser updates? Or could it be that the settings' names changed, resulting in the default value being applied? Should I periodically check these values to ensure they haven't changed?

Issue: I updated the settings in about:config as mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1440060 by cor-el. It appears to have stopped the autoplay of videos. However, after browsing Google News and Yahoo News articles for about 30 minutes, my browser crashes. This happens under the same usage pattern as before. The browser becomes unresponsive, and if I click on anything, I see the rainbow Apple spinning wheel. Eventually, I have to force quit the browser. See attached.

I use OnlyKey usb key as FIDO2 MFA with most of my accounts. On Firefox 123.0 on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71) however, I get presented with multiple pop ups to touch my usb key but the key expects only one input/touch and it fails when I touch it the second time. This was not the workflow that I used to use before and it still works fine on MacOS ventura with Firefox + protonmail.

I have had this spam pop up 2 times when I was on Facebook through Firefox through DuckDuckGo. Could someone confirm that this is spam and how to fix it? Also, I would like to report it to Firefox and I can't find how to do that either. Thank you

I can't print an email. The whole screen prints and is too small to read.

I read previous answers to use the drop down menu and select print, but then I get window that says I have a blocking the print. I don't have an active blocker. I do have malwarebytes. Never had any trouble printing on chrome or safari.

Firefox does not automatically create a new empty window on startup. Neither starting from "applications" nor clicking icon in the dock

Instead once has to right click the icon then click "New Window"

Why is it that the people who "improve" products are always dickering with the look and feel to no benefit to the user? Why suddenly does a new empty window not open? Fantastic job Mozilla. It takes me an hour or so to figure out how to even get a window with the default web page URL and then I have to perform forever after three clicks instead on one.

I have a suggestion. The next time you think about changing the look and feel: DON'T. It is just that simple. DON'T.

Hi, I like to know how to transfer addresses to bookmark toolbars? I have the copy all addresses of bookmarks in the previous firefox. I transferred all, but they are in one bookmark, not in toolbars, or other bookmarks. I like to set the same as the previous bookmarks. Thank you so much for your help, Miyabi

Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

M2 MacBook Air running macOS Ventura. When I open a website which wants access to my camera I am asked if I want to allow this. I say "Allow", and the light next to the builtin webcam turns green, but I see nothing in the camera sub-window on the webpage which was granted access. No error message, just no camera video is shown by the webpage. In the menu bar is a camera icon which I can click on and confirms I have "Allowed" camera access. Setting / Privacy / Permissions / Autoplay is set to Block Audio. I have verified the camera works with other apps (Photo Booth). How can I diagnose this?

Recently, when first logging into Facebook, the entries in my feed will just sit there and refresh for a while before finally settling in and stopping. Then when I start scrolling, I can only go so far and it starts doing it again. Rather peculiar action. Something to do with auto refresh? I don't encounter the issue when using Safari or Opera. Appreciate anything on this issue.

Mod - please delete. I couldn't find a way to delete my question so I edited it. I had an issue but I think it's due to my Firefox being Enterprise managed. I tested the same thing on my personal laptop with Firefox and no issue.

Macbook Air, Sonoma 14.1.2, second monitor connected via hdmi. This oval purple icon showing a person in front of a screen suddenly appeared in and behind upper left hand corner of window, and is now in all my windows. (see attached image)

I noticed that a couple of times when I click on an external link on a mail or a bookmarked site as icon on my mac, Firefox closes all the tabs and open that link in a new window, so I lose all the tabs and address... Sometime I have more than 30 tabs open and i't difficult to reopen all from history. What happen? Why? I can't see also the "restore last session" command into History menu. Can be fix it? Thank you.

I cannot get firefox to update. It is set up for automatic updates but they don't happen. Even if I try manual installation of updates. Nothing works. I ran it in troubleshooting mode and the problem still exists. I restarted my computer and the problem still exists. I am using a mac running on Monterey.

(and even though it says failed to check for or install updates, it looks like I do have the latest version of firefox)

I have the Dark Reader extension, because white screens HURT MY EYES. This is an accessibility issue! ALL of your support pages do not recognize or respond to the dark reader extension, and leave the page backgrounds WHITE! I can barely stand to write this! UGH! Thank you for fixing this!

SSIA for the most part. I am running firefox 124.0.1 on my macbook air and, only from certain senders, does the formatting look different from others - the font is different, and I can't highlight or click links. Almost seems like a picture instead of text - I can even click in the general area and it'll copy/paste it in Word like a picture.

Any suggestions?
