Autostarting web pages

In an earlier version of Firefox I loved a certain function: When I typed a word into the browser bar Firefox would mosltly start the web-page that belonged to that word.… (funda kabanzi)

In an earlier version of Firefox I loved a certain function: When I typed a word into the browser bar Firefox would mosltly start the web-page that belonged to that word. ('yahoo' would open http://yahoo.com) Now I only see the google results...

Do I have to change something in the preferences or is it completely gone? Thanks in advance!!

Importing bookmarks from Internet Explorer

I have Firefox 5.0.1. I exported my IE Favorites/bookmarks to a USB key. When I go to import bookmarks, Firefox only lists under "Import Settings and Data" Safari as t… (funda kabanzi)

After I open it intially, the icon will not reopen it.

I'm on Mac OS lion and since your new upgrade, the page loads of center, with no scroll bar. On every computer I run I have to resize the page for the page to load correctly. How can I fix this?

In order to have the page load correctly, have to manually resize the page.

How can I fix this?

I've used Firefox for years w/no problem but now I can't get a window to open I still get the menu bar on top. When I try to click open a new window nothing happens. I have a Mac.

I never have problems with Firefox before. I usually don't put my Mac on sleep mode but I did do that last night. I don't know if that caused the problem or not. I tried … (funda kabanzi)

I'm using Firefox 6.0.2 on two macs running 10.7.1. I can install an extension on one machine, but it's marked as incompatible on the other machine. How can I fix this?

I installed the new update 7.0.1. When I open the program, a small box with an error message pops up: "---------->TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined."

It has an OK button. When I click it the program opens. Why is this? How do I get rid of it? I have tried deleting, downloading the update again, reinstalling it twice… (funda kabanzi)

I would love to update Firefox, but the software update window goes nowhere and never downloads the update. I have tried this running both Snow Leopard and Lion on my Macs.

That's it - I get the window that says downloading Firefox, connecting to update server, but it never goes anywhere past that - the ribbon keeps spinning.

I cannot access a messages in particular folder on the sidebar

This folder got duplicated a couple of weeks ago and now I cannot open either. If I do a mail search it will reveal file(s) within but I cannot delete or browse that fol… (funda kabanzi)

I use Firefox as my browser to access AOL. When I type in my username I get every variation of my user name that I have ever typed in. How do I get Firefox to NOT remember these user names. They are still there even after I quit Firefox and restart it.
