This is not a problem on "System theme". There are no black squares poking and out it looks perfectly round.

I am running Firefox on PopOS on an Intel NUC, but I have tried it on multiple VMs and experience the same result (92.01).

For quite some time now I've had keyword.enabled set to false in my about:config because I don't like having the address bar try to autocomplete or turn things into search, when I do a ctrl-l.

I do like that I am still able to use ctrl-k to do a search when I need to. This would place a ? at the start of the field and whatever I type gets sent to search.

In a recent upgrade, ctrl-k still places the ? at the start of the address bar but doesn't send things to search. Instead, it now behaves as if I did a ctrl-l and typed in a bad URL.

I'm on Firefox 80 (on Fedora 32) but I can't be exactly sure which upgrade brought this change in behavior.

Is there a way to get the old behavior back? ctrl-l to enter a URL, ctrl-k to search.

I recently changed from Ubuntu Gnome to KDE Plasma. Now, when I'm running Firefox (v83) and click "Save as" to save a file from a web page, Firefox gives me a file list with directories mixed in alphabetically, rather than at the top. This is new behavior to me; I don't know if it's new with v83 (I was previously running v82), or if it's a KDE implementation issue.

Either way, I HATE having to scroll down through page after page of files and folders to find my destination folder. Since the dialog box also incorporates full-row select, I can't even click in the file list and type the first letter of my destination folder.

Please tell me there is a way to change this behavior and have Firefox's "Save as" dialog sort the files with directories at the top!

Thanks.

I tried to login to a site where I had forgotten a password. I got a firefox message offering help. I didn't know about the logins and passwords page. It popped up with hundreds of usernames and passwords from my wife. She doesn't use this computer. She doesn't use firefox. She did use it a few years ago. I just spent over an hour deleting her stuff. She was shocked that I had access to her paypal login and password etc.

Anybody help how I got this data? How are you supposed to protect yourself?

Why is it difficult to find the logout?

I've been a Firefox user for over 15 years. I preferred it to Chrome. But, that's all over now. Since I upgraded I have had nothing but misery. Pages don't function normally. Windows will not display properly, no matter what I set them. Worst of all with any single window, or multiple windows, the slightest mouse movement outside the window and every window comes forward, then it recedes. Back and forth - again and again. If the mouse moves away from the window boundaries, up comes on another window - not the one I want top work in. If that's not distracting enough, I will move the mouse out of the immediate area, what I type does not appear on the page - it goes to some small pseudo search bar which means That the mouse is on the empty desktop. Etc. Etc. I've had it. Too much distraction and poor functionality.

When login credentials for a site are stored, firefox shows the associated usernames as drop-down in the edit field of a site login.

Since this shows *all* accounts that it knows for that site, I'd like to turn that off. I'd like to keep the auto-fill of passwords, once I've manually entered the username (as it was in the past).

I've only found how to deactivate the whole auto-fill for both: username and passwords.

Any way to get the old (=more discrete) behavior back?

Thanks!

Hi,

I recently updated, only to find out that all my passwords had disappeared :(. I checked my profile and there were three 0Kb files: logins.json, logins.json.corrupt and logins-backup.json. cert9.db and key4.db are still there and aren't empty. I'm on Arch Linux, so no previous version as well. Is there anything I can do to restore my passwords?

Enabling push notifications in Firefox for websites (such as gmail) does give notifications on my desktop (ubuntu). However, any notification seems to disappear very quickly, usually 2 sec but maybe up to a minute depending on if I move my mouse over the notification or if I refresh the notification tray.

I would like to have these notifications stay displayed in my desktop notification until I intentionally dismiss them.

My desktop settings for notifications from Firefox are the same as those for applications which do have notifications which last until I dismiss them. I am guessing it is setting in Firefox that I need to change. Is this setting something I can change?

Using the website crave.ca, the browser fails to play the next video in the series and shows the error: "This video cannot be played because of a technical error.(Error Code: 202000)"

This error happens on Firefox, but not other browsers like Chrome. It happens both on Windows 10 and Fedora Workstation 33.

Looking at the jwplayer docs, it gives a bit more info, but not much (https://developer.jwplayer.com/jwplayer/docs/jw8-player-errors-reference)

Unknown error. This is generally caused by an unknown XHR error or an exception thrown while parsing the content; for more context we recommend checking the source error.

So, it sounds like a site coding error, but it seems strange that would be the case when other browsers are working fine. Any ideas how to get this working in Firefox?

I cannot find anyway in Firefox, or from searching how to create a desktop shortcut/link of a site I have added as an App after enabling ssb mode. Is it even possible?

I've spent quite a bit of time trying to re-create a userChrome.css file to simulate the App mode, however minimal success only. The best I could gets getting the site I want to launch with no tabs/address bar/title bar which is not desirable as it is missing the Title Bar of the website name, which also is useful for moving the window/app around my desktop. For trying to launch that, I am running it from command line using triggers for an alternate profile withe the customer userChrome.css

user@pop: firefox -P app -new-instance http://www.wolframalpha.com

Is there any way built in to create a desktop link to open a site I added as an app? If not is there any other method that I can use to launch the site, either in my default profile, or a specific profile with a custom userChrome.css file that would have a Titlebar window same as when I manually launch the site in app mode?

What I want to have, is a shortcut on my desktop to launch the window on the right of the attached screenshot without manually having to open Firefox -> Hamburger Menu -> Sites in App Mode -> <selecting site>

I'm using Ubuntu/PopOS 20 with latest version of Firefox Any help would be great. Thanks
