I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Basically, I have three different profiles in my Firefox with three different app icons, but only one of has notifications.

For some odd reason, the MacOS notification center is showing the wrong profile. It's like only one of the profiles is visible, or working. I tried resetting it, which is apples way of "deleting" it, but Firefox keeps forcing that particular profile and not my main one.

Firefox 122.0.1 (64-bit) MacOS Ventura 13.5.1 (22G90)

The Command+M keyboard shortcut only minimizes Firefox one time after the initial boot of the system and stop working thereafter. Opening the Window menu in the top menu bar and then clicking minimize also fails to minimize Firefox. The only thing that works to minimize the Firefox window is clicking on the minimize bar on the top left of the window.

How do I get COMMAND + M to consistently minimize Firefox?

I had Wavve.co app installed on my laptop. Was using it but started to have problems (ie, the app slowing and then not working at all). Firefox showed me a message that said something to the effect that this page was slowing down the browser, did I want to "Stop Page"?

So I clicked "Stop Page", but now even after doing a reset to a date PRIOR to installing the app, I still cannot access the app on this laptop. Will I now need to switch to another browser to continue working with Wavve? Is there ANY way to UNDO that action? Suggestions?

Hi! Relaying this for another Firefox user. Whenever they go to Google Images, it seems like the images don't fully load. GIFs don't play, and it ends up showing the preview rather than the full image. This isn't happening on other sites like Bing. Any ideas what could be causing this? A uninstall and reinstall didn't help.

I want the tab button to stop navigating any web page. Im tired of the alt tab shortcut moving my focus around and forcing me to completely refresh a page just to interact with it again.

Please do not tell me to use about:config browser.toolbars.keyboard_navigation. It doesnt work because its not what im looking for. I want to disable the tab key in my browser. Period. 100% gone. Stop bothering me ever again type deal.

Is there a way to disable tab key navigation that doesnt require a year of coding experience with an obscure addon that probably doesnt work as of 10 updates ago?

I can not log into my Harley ride planner account. Its not the websight as I can log in on my I phone. I get this message.The resource at “https://www.harley-davidson.com/etc/designs/h-d/images/dropdown-arrow-white-2.png” was blocked by OpaqueResponseBlocking. Reason: “nosniff is true and mimeType is an opaque-blocklisted MIME type or its essence is 'text/plain'”. How do I fix this? Thank you Paul

I have got a problem with Mozzila for like a year or two - most of the time the browser is fast and react imidiatelly, but sometimes when i click on any link it only shows grey loading circle in tab name and took about 8-10sec to stop and not load anything. When i try again, linked website is loaded imidiatelly. This happening like aprox. 4-5 times in an hour of browsing web, but sometimes its all good for few hours. Opening even new tabs doesnt help and they are "stuck" in loading for the same time. Then, after that 7-10secs all of them works fine. (When i open new tab and wrote something when it is "stuck" and then when it unstuck then it deletes all what i have typed in adress box and whole tab is in default state). When i close and open Mozilla it works fine but again, just for some time (random duration..). Sometimes, it loads like half page (for example, images are missing).. when i reload site after "stuck" then it loads perfectly fine.

Im using pretty decent PC: Ryzen 5 5600X, HyperX 32GB RAM DD4 3200Mhz, Samsung Nvme SSD 3.0 512GB (now changed to WD black Nvme SSD 4.0 1TB), Aorus RTX 3070, ASUS B450-F Gaming MOBO with 1gbit ethernet card, Win 11 Pro.

Got best internet provider in area (almost no outage, like 1 outage in 2years) - got 1Gbit internet speed (Ookla speed test shows 900Mbit+ download and upload, with ping avg. 0,6ms

I am assuimng, that all components are good because when i play online games for hours it never disconnects or lags or anything, same is for downloading stuff, VPN connection etc...

I have tryied yet (was testing with VPN or other stuff off): 1. clear cache/cookies 2. update Windows / drivers / BIOS 3. reinstall Mozzila without loggin in / importing stuff (few tries) 4. reinstall whole PC 2 times (with changing name of PC), 1x try using Mozzila without even logging in (so absolutely clean Mozzila and Win) 5. update router, reset router multiple times 6. set DNS from auto to Google ones (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.), in router and in PC 7. turn off antivirus and firewall 8. was using many diffrent versions of Mozzila cose it happening like for 1-2years now

Got laptop with same Mozzila acc linked in and synced and there are no problems even in same network / same cable connection

Was trying to google some help or browse your site but there are mostly only common things which I alredy tryied..

Was not using other browser, cose I am used to use Mozzila (suggestions, looks, etc...), so i am trying to avoid solution to change browser...

I just installed FireFox but keep getting Chrome browser. How do I set FireFox as my default browser? My bookmark tab icons keep changing - how to change them back permanently ?

When you switch the language in a text field, the focus on that text field is lost and the focus goes to another browser tab. This only happens if at this time a video is playing in mozilla in picture in picture mode with the Always on top option enabled. How to fix it? (Ubuntu 22.04)

Firefox is frequently deleting entries made on websites. I am entering information in boxes (like this one) on websites when suddenly FF bails out, the data vanishes off the screen and leaves me back where I started. It happened several times attempting to post this question. This seems to have something to do with hitting a key or the space bar--but what and why eludes me. I have tried changing settings on trackpad and mouse without any impact. Although this is a recent issue with a new computer, the issue does not occur using the same computer on Chrome. Any ideas?

I have tried using autofill for credit cards. The pop up to enter a password pops up and I fill that in. The credit card options are there and I click on the one I want and nothing fills in. I went to settings to turn off the request for authentication, unticked the box, and see no where to save that. When I refresh the screen, the box is once again ticked.

So, i transferred to my new PC I had a recovery key, and about a lifetime worth of passwords on my account. I exactly followed these steps:

Reset your password with your account recovery key

If you forgot your password and need to reset it, follow these steps.

   Click the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in page.
   Check your email and click the password reset link in it.
   Enter your account recovery key.
   Create a new password.
   Create a new account recovery key. 

Now, my recovery key became my new password and my account is blank. Great. Have a good time!

I am conducting research and Firefox keeps on deleting my browsing history. I have already extended the history limit in the settings and that has not helped. I believe I may have missed a setting. I would like for Firefox to remember my history as long as possible to better aid me in my research.

I have a problem. When I access my Firefox main default screen I open up a respective website I want to access but within a matter of a few seconds the main default screen automatically opens up again meaning I now have two windows open which shouldn’t happen! I have opened up ‘Help’ and have refreshed Firefox a few times now. Additionally, I have opened ‘Troubleshooting Mode’ which comes up with ‘Restart’ then ‘Open’ and I have ‘Refreshed Firefox’ from this option. I have cleared my Cookies and Cache. I asked for help through the Firefox Community. I received one response asking if the problem still happened in ‘Troubleshooting Mode’. My response 'yes' it does but I have not had any other reply. Hence, I am stuck. Nothing has worked which I find very frustrating. I have used Firefox for many years now but if I cannot resolve this matter I will have to select a different browser which I don’t really want to do.

Follow up question: A while ago, I changed the autoplay settings in about:config, but I noticed they reverted to default. Do these settings reset with major browser updates? Or could it be that the settings' names changed, resulting in the default value being applied? Should I periodically check these values to ensure they haven't changed?

Issue: I updated the settings in about:config as mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1440060 by cor-el. It appears to have stopped the autoplay of videos. However, after browsing Google News and Yahoo News articles for about 30 minutes, my browser crashes. This happens under the same usage pattern as before. The browser becomes unresponsive, and if I click on anything, I see the rainbow Apple spinning wheel. Eventually, I have to force quit the browser. See attached.

Trying to use a dapp - ape terminal- to connect metamask wallet. I have disable all other extensions. i have disabled and re enabled metamask but error "metamask not detected". The same dapp is able to connect with metamask on chrome. Not sure what is the problem with Firefox.

Sorry to trouble you, i recently un-pinned mozila from the task bar by mistake, as its my main browser i re-pinned it from the icon on my desk top, now i have lost all my logins and passwords and some recently saved bookmarks. Would there be a way of recovering them, again sorry to trouble you. Nigel

Every time I browse incognito mode and download files (pdf mostly), then I exit the browser and my files disappear from the Downloads folder in Windows 11. It has been like this for a long time now. I have to remember to cut and paste them to another folder before shutting the browser down, but when I forget it's annoying. Can this be fixed?
