After update of Firefox version 103.0.1 the symbols are too big and the size cannot be reduced (to small size). So too few symbols fit into a symbol line. How can this be fixed?

I appreciate the quick reply from your support staff yesterday. I followed instructions and was able to turn off the GIFs but FOR ONLY ONE TIME. As soon as I exited Firefox, or even the current page and returned to it they were back on. How do I keep them off permanently?

I just installed Firefox v125.0.1 on my new desktop and I am constantly being harassed by Firefox suggesting "tips" to me that I don't want nor did I ask for.

Such as this example below, see screenshot. I am browsing the web and needed to open a new tab, and immediately Firefox thinks it is okay to harass me with something that I OBVIOUSLY already know...... searching google from the address bar.

So now I have to stop what I am doing to click the "Okay, Got It" button to proceed. But, that won't stop Firefox from harassing me with the EXACT same tip in a few minutes from now.....

This isn't the only "tip" it harasses me with. It's just the only one I have managed to get a screenshot of for now.

How do I permanently disable this crap?

I have been using the internet and web browsers for 30ish years now. I'm pretty sure I know how to use an address bar by now Firefox.....

I also don't appreciate being harassed by things at all. Since this does the same "tips" repeatedly and they never stop it is absolutely harassment. Why are you showing me ANY tip more than once?????

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. Hey, I can't add new filetypes to the handlers.json Who had this before? I have already reset Firefox, deleted handlers.json, used safe mode... all without success For example, when I click on a ZIP file, the "save as" menu opens immediately. In the FF settings this filetype does not appear. So I can't define how to handle new files. I have also tried the addon "Content-Type Fixer Content-Type Fixer".

This issue is so annoying, that I need to ask Firefox community what I can do. So, the problem is, that if I set custom home page called Infinity New Tab (Pro), then I will restart Firefox, then it reverts back to Firefox Home.

I think, that this is completely unrelated to malware, because I'm scanning my computer very often.

Are my preferences/settings corrupted?

However the Infinity New Tab (Pro) is no longer available in addons.mozilla.org, so if you need .xpi file, then tell me, and I will attach that file here.

I have been trying to edit an existing browser extension (for the sole reason of adding new features to it for myself), and I've been trying to add it to my Firefox browser. However, upon trying to install it to the browser, it throws an error saying: "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt". I've been trying to read more into this issue all across the internet, but none of the recommendations seem to be working.

I tested my extension locally and with using the about:debugging temporary add-on method, and everything seemed fine.

I tried to re-configurate the 'xpinstall.signatures.required' variable by setting it to false (even thought this method is considered unsafe in most cases), and the issue still occurs

I also tried adding a new gecko ID to it as stated in this article, but to no avail: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/browser_specific_settings

And last, but certainly not least, I tried compressing the extension with web-ext aswell.

My question is - is there a way to add this extension permanently to my browser without submitting it to Mozilla? I did not create this extension, I only added custom integrations to it for myself.

And more importantly - is there a way to add it to the basic Firefox browser, which is not Firefox developer of Firefox nightly? Or maybe create a desktop shortcut that will always start the browser in debug mode, always containing the extension as "temporary"?

I can see that many posts and questions have already been posted regarding this "custom add-on" topic, but my situation is a bit different since my goal is to only use this add-on by myself (and I'm also revisiting this topic since none of the previous suggestions worked in my case)

On my old iMac, Firefox remembered sites I had visited and filled them in, like if I typed A it would autofill Amazon. This is not happening on my new 2023 iMac and I can't figure out how to turn this on. Also, I could see my site visit history on my old iMac, but this field is blank, with no history of sites visited shown, on my new machine. Help is appreciated. I cannot disable google document viewer in Google Drive. Every time I go to open a recently downloaded PDFs in Google Drive, it invokes Document Viewer unless I specifically right click and tell it to open with Acrobat. I have disabled everything thing I know in both Chrome and Firefox, cleared the caches, rebooted, and the default behavior persists. Worse, the Document Viewer REQUIRES a complicated, infuriating sign in process that has only worked ONCE in dozens of sign in attempts. Please help with this.

It used to be possible to set the colour of a container to black, although I can't remember how I did it: I think it was somewhere reachable from the preferences page. Facebook container still sets its colour to black on installation, so the black colour is still there, but I can't set black colour for a container in the Manage Containers dropdown.

You can't disable firefox spell checking. Check your spelling as you type. Misconfiguration? Did you make a mistake somewhere? I'm not sure. I mainly use two types of IME, Microsoft IME and google Japanese input.

Recently, my win 10 crashed and although I managed to recover some operative, I found to my horror that the desktop screen text size and contrast cannot be changed now. The current default setup is a real eye sorer, so I opened personalization settings but there is nothing on how to change this very theme, other than other posts suggesting entering the regedit system files. I am very reluctant to tinker with this given the Win10 application crashes. Running maintenance doesn´t do much. I notice that Firefox also has access to this very text size and font theme for web domains, but I am very wary again of tinkering an unknown. What the heck can one do, confidently without the system resetting itself? One thing is for sure, it seems Win10 home edition update 21H1/2 versions is basically treating users very badly, as if MS wants to ignore them. Bless us all when the embedded caption suggests "ready to update to Win11". I´m highly inclined to bin it.

Hi, after updating to 118.0+ my MX vertical binding was changed to backwards -> Responsive design mode, forewards -> nothing or turning on add-on for bitwarden. I want back next and previous page feature. How to solve it? Thank you

The Bookmarks Toolbar is showing up with a message to use it, even though I don't want to use it and have not added any bookmarks to it. This has shifted the actual screen down one line and messed up things I do that rely on screen positioning. Please turn it back off.

When I put the pointer arrow on a tab to open it the tab background turns black and the type is white. It used to be the opposite and I want to change it back to white background black type. How do I do that? I do not like this change at all. This happened right after your new Firefox update also.
