In the Microsoft Store there are all these updates for video extensions like "AV1 Video Extension". Should I be doing these updates? Do they make any difference to streaming video on the Firefox Browser?

I need to pass a pc scan on my new hp all in one desktop for a new job with Arise.com It allows me to use mozilla firefoc for my pc scan, I continue to fail. please help

For whatever reason the Picture-in-Picture button keeps not showing up in normal places like Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc. I can make it come back by going to the Settings turning off the Picture-in-Picture option (Which is always still active) refreshing the settings then going back to Picture-in-Picture and turning it back on and then finally refreshing the video I was trying to use, but this is kind of a lot to have to do every time it happens and it seems to be happening more and more, so I'd like to fix the root cause instead if possible. Any ideas?

Using Nord Pass extension on Mozilla fine until today, when clicking on the green icon for stored username and password, this appears - "sudden error message : can't handle ITEM/URL_SEARCH type message"

YouTube won't start playing in Firefox. No add-ons enabled. The page is fully loaded, but clicking on Play makes nothing.

The fix is to disable "User recommended performance settings" and then disable "User hardware acceleration when available".

The problem is that hardware acceleration is enabled by default. In Edge or Chrome hardware acceleration is also enabled but it won't break YouTube.

I made a mistake and installed Firefox in the wrong location. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall where I wanted the software to be.

The installer now tells me that I had Firefox before and will only reinstall it in the previous directory. No other option is offered.

I am LONG used to being deprived of user choice by the likes of Microsoft or Apple, but Mozilla SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

Apprantly Firefox updated last night. I still show all the names of my bookmarks but NONE of them have any information in them. Probably lost my passwords too.

Tried all the fixes shown in prior posts. This is unacceptable !

In the past when I reinstalled Windows and then Firefox, I would sign into my account and all my bookmarks/addons etc. would automatically get reinstalled. Today I had to reinstall Windows and when I logged into my firefox account, nothing happened. Does Mozilla no longer keep these settings for us? I don't have any other devices to sync off of and never have, so where did all those settings come from when I did previous reinstalls?

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?

I am using Firefox 119.0.1 under Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693

I had the page open in Firefox before the owner corrected the typo.

Immediately after the correction was online, all other browsers displayed the corrected version. But even now, hours later, after many resets by "Reload Tab", the Firefox tab still displays the typo-version.

I consider this to be a malfunction. "Reload tab" should bypass all caches, and reload the whole page directly from its server. - Is this a known bug? - If "Reload Tab" does not go to the source bypassing all caches, what doe it do? - Is there a workaround?

My iMac is OSX. I use Firefox browser most of the time. I had used Safari years ago. Chrome had rarely been used. Firefox problems recently began. Please help.

I have found that Firefox 119 won't work on St. Jude & USAA insurance sites. Had to use Safari on my I mac running 10.15.7 sites will load, but some features won't allow me to enter data into the page

Steps to reproduce: 1. Open youtube 2. Open any video 3. Hit back and navigate to youtube main page 4. Press media key play/pause on keyboard

Expected result: nothing happens Actual result: the sound from the video continues on the tab with youtube main page, the tab has "PLAYING" on it

its the browser, the opperative said when I phoned in about no access. try chrome, they said and true enough it worked. Just shy of 15 years with firefox and now nothing but problems, the cut and paste does not work and now this! pointless staying with them

I want extensions to have white/black-lists, so they're only allowed or blocked on certain pages e.g facebook container ruins instagram experience... and I can't block it on *instagram.com* Such feature would significantly enhance UX on firefox
