Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

I have been using Firefox to log into the Social Security site for years. Today, I am unable to log in, after trying several approaches. I switched to Chrome and was able to log in immediately. What has changed in Firefox?

Unrelated issue. On this page is an option to "share data." When I tried it, nothing showed up, but there was a link to explain how to do it manually. When I went back to this page, it was blank, and I had to start over again. Not good website design!

I want to visit a unsecured web site (camping site). I notice these mom and pop websites are unsecured. How do I visit it. I'm a big boy and dint like to be told where i can visit. However, I don't mind a warning.

I DO NOT LIKE THE LARGER BARS AT THE TOP. It takes 1/3 of my screen. Give a choice or adjustment to bar sizes. I can't see all that I use to be able to see. Now I am looking for a new internet browser that is more like the one you use to have. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW VERSION!!!!!!!

I installed the new Windows 11 update now when I exit out of firefox "X" the next time I go to open and error tells me that firefox is running (it's not showing open and running) and I have to close.

Hello, i have a problem with my account information. The story is that i reinstall my PC i tried to log in my firefox buy it turns that i forgot my password. So i change it at 12:31 on 1.11.2022. So at first time i didn't saw anything wrong but when i tried to look into one saved password it turned that i do not have any. But on the are there. Can you fix this because all my bookmarks passwords are there for years i have been with this account and i do not want to loose it.

every time I first try and full screen a video it will not correctly fill the screen. if i go back to windowed and full screen again it will be fixed, and will remain fixed for as long as firefox is still open. if I close firefox and open again it does the same thing. See screenshot for problem.

I've installed Inter font from Google fonts (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Inter) on my windows, but as you can see in the image, the font is not displaying correctly in Firefox.

Is the "list all tabs" icon a new feature in Firefox 106.0? I am not sure I noticed it before. In either case, I find this icon pestering and wish to have it removed from my top bar. Unfortunately, "Customise toolbar" does not appear to allow me to do so.

It turns out the copied logins-backupjson file i had pasted on my desktop screen was already overwritten by an added or removed login, thus writing over when it did have the saved login removed that i was trying to recover

is there any other way to recover the removed login?

If you still have the signons.sqlite that was used in a previous Firefox version then you can try to restore passwords saved in that file.

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file that has been used before (the matching key3.db file is still needed). If you still have the signons.sqlite file used in previous Firefox versions then you can try to force Firefox to migrate the passwords saved in that file (you will lose passwords saved in Firefox 32+ versions). You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file with these steps:

   reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
   delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed 

When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.

I recall turning off this garbage at some point. Now it's hardwired without a way to turn it off in Search settings!!

Is there anything I can do to turn it off?
