I would like to remain logged into google and youtube after i close firefox. After clearing my history once, i now get logged out every time i close firefox.

Im trying to halt fingerprint tracking, whoever designed Firefox's privacy.resistFingerprinting rule makes fingerprinting even more prevalent.

With privacy.resistFingerprinting set to FALSE, my resolution is reported : 1920x1080x24, set to TRUE its 1920x968x24

1 in 6 browsers has resolution 1920x1080x24 1 in 6000 browsers has resolution 1920x968x24

Who in Firefox decided this config rule? and what is the logic behind it? Looks like intentional sabotage to make peoples browsers more trackable.

Whilst leaving resistFingerprinting set to TRUE, How can I force my resolution to the more generic 1920x1080x24?

Is there another setting in about:config I can change? if there isnt, where can I request this feature? Id rather not resort to an extention for something so small like this.

I have no idea how I got into incognito mode and I have not found a solution on getting back out. My main problem is that I am locked into an incognito mode keyboard which I find close to unreadable.

We use primarily Thunderbird and Firefox (latest versions). Everything works normally except a site from Constant Contact (that tracks when a customer/client opens or clicks on an email. We normally use uBlock and the problem occurs with and without that extension installed. I'm stumped. Thanks for any helpful you can provide.

I notice when i am typeing something, the firefox line is only less than a quarter and is not going all the way to the opposite side, it quickly vanishes, and a white search bar appears.

Hello My bank stores my device name in order to simplify the log-in process What they fond for me is "my firefox"+ a timestamp Naturally the timestamp does not allows me to be recognized next time... I looked through the parameters and the help subjects but could not find how to personnalize this device name

I have two firefox browsers open simultaneously. One in private window, the other regular window. Both with no tracking.

Firefox Private window is leaking data to regular non private firefox window.

Data is being shared between both windows.

Can you ix i I abandon Firefox?

I read a few posts and it is all gobbledy gook. Can someone answer y/n to the following is their a SIMPLE way to unblock Free-Sudoku.com which I have been using for years? Is there a simple way to turn off all the security stuff so I don't have to waste hours trying to find a solution? Is there a simple way to ask a question to get a meaningful answer without all the flak that means nothing to an average user? Does anyone at Firefox care about the average guy trying use his browser without unnecessary security lockdowns? If anyone can answer yes to these questions, perhaps you can give me a dumbed down version of the simplified questions. I just want to play sudoku from free-sudoku.com all I get is a lock with a bar through it. on the U'RL box. It just started 3 days ago after years of non-interference. When I click on the lock I don't have an unblock button in the popup. Why does firefox just put one there instead of just an arcane hours long wild goose chase to look for non-solutions. Yeah, I am frustrated over unilateral browser lockdowns.

I could be wrong but I thought there was a button or something added to private browsing that would clear all cache, cookies, etc. We are doing testing on websites. We send the new files over to the server, then open the web page in a private window to see all our updated changes without anything loading from the FF cache. In the past, we had to close the private window each time we make a change, then reload the page in a new window. I thought there was a feature added to clear everything from a private window so I could just hit refresh in the open window and see everything fresh. Am I remembering incorrectly? I checked everywhere I could and cannot find this.

When I go into Privacy & Settings, then cookies & site data, I uncheck the box for cookies & site data. It doesn't save. Next time I go in it is checked again. How do I get this setting to save? I'm using Windows 10, Firefox 124.0.2.

I have zero clue how 150+ of my mother's passwords suddenly appeared in my account. Further, why the hell many of my passwords are now GONE! My mother has not used Firefox in ages and there is ZERO reason her Google Garbage should be anywhere NEAR my Firefox account. I have been using Firefox since my early teens but I will sure as hell jump ship if there is not a damn good explanation and fix for this utter BS!!!!!
