Browsing history weirdly limited view

From a non-programmer who used Chrome a lot until recently:

If I hit Cntrl-H like I would in Chrome, I get a frustratingly limited view. Why does it not show timestamps? So I spend time searching and find out about the Library window, and Control+Shift+H. Okay, so that's at least making it possible to see timestamps. Typing this right now, I don't remember if I had to manually add a column to see timestamps, but if I did Jesus Christ. I nearly installed some other software (MZHistoryView) before finding out about Control+Shift+H, just to see timestamps.

Also, every time I press the awkward Control+Shift+H hotkey, it resets the view to "Today". I don't know why it wouldn't default to "Just keep scrolling for as many days as you want". If I search for a specific site immediately after opening the window, then it includes entries for more days than just today. But before searching, it cuts off my view to just today. What's the point of that? Who would want such a restriction as the default view?

As many other users I have a problem with playing Youtube videos. I also had the problem 2 months ago and than I could solve it by disabling "hardware acceleration when available" and disabling "Use recommended performance settings". Now this does not help anymore, I already disabled all add-ons without success, even safe mode does not help. When I click on a youtube it shows the first frame but does not play the video. Anything else I can try? I already checked the video drivers and I have the most recent

error: "Blocked by Content Security Policy" when I open a specific site's e-mail. It says further "Firefox prevented this page from loading"

Hi there! I've fished through here every way I can to find the answer, but no luck. (I've searched the web several times for articles to help, too).

I'm having a problem with emails coming to my Comcast/Xfinity email from zillow.com. I can open the email, but if I click on a link inside for a property for sale, the content gets blocked by Firefox. Additionally, the email then stops me from further navigating to my other emails, repeatedly, even after I delete the email, coming up no matter which other email I select to open. I can only view my other email by closing the email program and restarting my email program again.

I've cleared my Zillow cookies cache as was suggested as a solution by an archived question, but that also did nothing. I've tried to add a rule for that site, I've disabled my add blockers on that site, I'm about out of tricks. Any other ideas? Many thanks!

P.S. I just had an immediate reply with a phone number to call to help with my question. I called, and no answer. I was immediately called back from a completely unrelated phone number by a fellow who said he was both Goggle and Firefox support. This raised my concern level, but after asking about the different phone numbers, if there was a charge, etc., I told him my problem, which was exactly as stated here, so no secret. He wanted to gain remote access to my computer to take a look at the problem, and I declined. I've done that before with support services I have called with no problems (note *I* called them), but this felt questionable. He even offered to call back from the number I had called in the effort to prove he was who he said he was. I declined and hung up. Maybe my B.S. detector is set too high, but no thanks.

If Firefox routinely does this it does not engender confidence. He called me again twice while I was typing this. A search reveals a low risk of spam/fraud, but seriously Firefox, this ain't no way to run an airline.

Just had ANOTHER notice of "Call this number and we can solve your problem right away". Um, NO. Can someone legitimate here please either answer, or comment on those contacting me for their "help" via suspicious numbers? Thanks!

Hello, we have an inline onClick event that begins with event.stopPropagation() and is followed by a call to our timeline.<method>; however, while onClick, our timeline is Document's Document.timeline, and it causes a JS error because it's looking for a method that does not exist.

I tried to move the function so as to affect namespace without success.

I welcome advise and otherwise, is this a bug in the WebAPI Document.timeline?

I normally buy Robux for my son from www.roblox.com; however, this time I had to use Chrome, because the latest version of Firefox Developer Edition does not display the payment method page completely. What is going on with this? Shouldn't it allow redirection for payment?

An update to Firefox occurred today (now Vers 77.01 -- 64bit) and since then the small drop down triangle on the RHS of the URL bar has disappeared, so that now the only way to gain access to the favorite URL sites is to delete what ever is in the URL bar then click in the empty space and then the drop down frequently watched sites appear.

This process has to be done every time you want to visit a new favorite site --- very annoying.

If the URL in the URL bar is long it is necessary to highlight and delete a number of times to get the empty URL bar

So what has always been a very easy process to go from one website to another is now a long process ---- definitely not a smart move by the program's developers and I have no idea why it could possibly have been considered that removing this facility was a good move.

As the old saying goes "if it aint broke don't fix it" !!!!!!!

Also since the upgrade the entry for Google in the drop down list of favorite sites has completely disappeared --- possibly my most used web site, now I have to type the full address in every time.

I have tried the various suggestions on a number of forums to bring back the triangle but none of these have worked.

Can the Firefox software developers acknowledge their mistake and immediately undertake another update to correct this problem, otherwise I am sure that like me many users will start to look for another browser.

This latest update makes absolutely no sense.

Hello, I have three new problems with my Firefox browser: 1. I can no longer use Firefox to pay online with StateFarm. This started suddenly a few months ago. I had no problem navigating to the payment login page with State Farm, then one day I clicked the link and received an error page. I called State Farm Technical service and they suggested I try another browser. It works fine in Chrome. I like exclusively using Firefox. Can this link be made to work on Firefox again? 2. All of a sudden Firefox stopped opening links in webpage. It doesn't open a new tab, it doesn't open Adobe Acrobat. All I get is a flash of the download arrow. I then need to go through multiple steps to download/open/save whatever it is I'm looking for. If I don't see the flashing download arrow, it just looks like nothing has happened. I'm assuming this change came in some update recently. I have looked in options, but don't see how I can reset the options so links open automatically. 3. In Options, I noticed a banner iYour browser is being managed by your organization. I use Avast. Your article about this suggests turning off Avast for web browsing, but that is advice in direct opposition to my computer guy. I don't care about the banner if I know why it's there. There is no harm coming from it, right?

Update 68.9.0 was doing odd things to my W 7 computer, it even shut off altogether. I did a system restore back to 68.8.0, it was the only program affected, and it is fine now, but will hold off updating until I find out more. There is no new video card driver available for this computer, and I have Hardware Acceleration turned off.

Dear support and community.

My HD had a meltdown last night and I had to reinstall everything. Luckily I saved my settings to the Mozilla cloud just a few days ago and desperately want to get everything back, if at all possible. I had to put in my email address and use a password and it stated 'saved'.

I can't for the life of me find out where to go to retrieve my settings.. Please help

My apologies for possibly not putting this question in the right category!

Best regards Si
