Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

I removed the Firefox Relay, however whenever I want to open my email its still there and I have to keep entering my email address manually, How do \i get rid of it?

Everytime I have to close my pc with updates or if I just close/ restart it or if it crashed and I have to restart everything, all my most recent tabs (when I do restore last session) are gone but I get all the tabs back from weeks or even months ago. It's very annoying especially I do research and study. I really don't understand. It's like going back in time every time it starts again  :( What is happening ?

For some reason my Firefox on my Mac and Windows computer won't sync even though I am using the same account. I would like my Mac to look the same as my Windows computer. I have tried logging in and logging out on both, all the basic fixes but nothing has helped.

I have reinstalled fresh firefox for like the 5th time now. It continues to not load web site pages completely. One other example, I log in to yahoo mail the page loads. I then click on the mail icon to go to the mail and NOTHING happens.

This is getting old. It only happens with firefox and not MS Edge.

When I have sent an email, it is not seen in 'all mails' nor 'sent emails', it is attached to a thread, when I open the thread, I have to go through many 'header' emails to find it at the bottom. Why is my last email NOT in 'sent', not in 'all mail' - or if it is on the thread, not seen at the TOP, displayed, ready to reply. Sending me nuts. Please advise how I can customize - to see the emails sent and received in REAL time. Currently my sent mail has so few in the folder. How can I stop this. I want All Mail and Sent mail, at the time I sent them. Not buried, Not as threads. I have tried removing threads, and it think it wants to delete them, I don't want that.

Hello, I did something stupid. I was trying to set up the dark/light theme via cli, and I asked openai about it.

It suggested this command:

Which resulted in the following error:

jq: parse error: Invalid numeric literal at line 1, column 11

When I opened mozilla, my profile was reset, and websites won't load (except this one!). They just hang there loading forever. My internet is fine, chromium works perfectly.

So how do I fix this and is there a way I can recover my profile? (Yes I know I should've made backups)

How do I get Firefox to stop suggesting my email address, city, state or other information on lines for logins or applications? I have turned off all the autofill selections in security and privacy and it still offers suggestions. I don't want any suggestions AT ALL.

Many of the extension are not safe even dangerous to use.
