Since about a month ago I can't drag a file from a folder to an open email in Firefox. Was always able to, but it stopped a few weeks ago. I read that the new 99.01 version would fix this, I installed it today and the problem persists. What am I missing? Thank you to anyone who reads, cares and replies with solution.

Firefox now needs to be clicked on twice before starting. In addition is not reopening previous windows and tabs on startup although this option selected in settings. Is this related to a new version? Thank you!

Windows 8.1, Firefox 99.0.2, eMail program part of Microsoft Office365 (deployed by university IT department) Login process worked fine for a month or so after implementation of a 2-level authentication (password plus a second method of user's choice - I chose a USB-flash device which [on request] sends a code for 2nd verification). All of the above still works, except that once logged in, the system asks me if it should remember me, or not (i.e., store a cookie or not, for future convenience). I always click "No". Now, when I do that, I get an error number 500, which is completely non-committal: "Something Went Wrong" - with a long garbage code. (See attachment for sample.) Results of tests to see what's wrong: 1) works fine (able to complete eMail login) under Microsoft Edge; 2) works fine on my laptop, running Windows 8.1 and Firefox 94; 3) on the 'problem' computer (desktop), I uninstalled Firefox 99 and downloaded/installed Firefox 93 - "500" error persisted. Just today: removed Firefox/Mozilla (including all folders/files, and Registry entries) then re-installed version 99. Still doesn't work. Let me know what else you need to know.

A recent update to Firefox browser seems to have changed how caching works for websites. I've noticed it mainly with Reddit and their 'random' feature. I can only go to one random sub-reddit and then from that point forward it will only go to that same sub-reddit when I hit the Random link. For instance if I hit random and it takes me to say www.reddit.com/r/Ohio/ then from that point on I only get the Ohio sub-reddit when clicking the Random link. If I clear my cache and reopen Firefox I again get one click on Random and then any further clicks take me to the first, random sub-reddit.

This is not replicated in Microsoft Edge or with Firefox in private windows. I have disabled all of addons to see if one of them was causing this behaviour but it made no change.

I have download set to always ask and consequently always get the, "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialogue box. 9 times out of 10 I choose, "Open with ... ". 10 times out of 10 Firefox also downloads the file. How can I stop FireFox downloading files I don't want ?

I have used Firefox for years with my MSN/Outlook emails. Recently, something has changed that has caused typing emails to a nightmare. As I am typing the "system" is constantly suggesting text and I do not know how to remove that feature. Each time this happens I have to stop and either hit the tab key or fiddle around with the space bar to get past this problem and continue typing what I want to write. Also, as I am replying to an email, the "system" occasionally opens another email document and at the same time moves the email I am trying to respond to. It moves the email, not to trash, but to Archive. I never use the archive feature. How do I fix these problems. Something has obviously gotten changed in "settings" but I cannot figure out where or how to fix. The "suggested text" feature is disasterous and annoying and it has got to be removed somehow. Please help.

A few days ago the Best Buy website started giving me this message:

And yesterday I cannot get into the Walmart website.

This was all working perfectly fine last week. What's up Mozilla??? Oh, and both websites work perfect on Chrome as I had to use them to place my orders because Mozilla decided to all of a sudden make changes...

Once every few days (and now every day) the browser logs out of me from every site/forum where I was logged in and this starts to be really annoying, what can I do?

"delete cookies and site data when firefox is closed" now gets checked against my will. i'm not checking it and have never had it set to do that. this is wasting tons of time for me, resetting my shortcuts and signing in to sites that are a pain in the ass to sign in to (specifically bandcamp). other settings get changed also, but not all of them, and my personal info remains. but a lot of time is also wasted correcting all the settings that have changed behind my back. this started happening within the past week. i've changed nothing.

it's not when i turn my computer off. i had to reset everything 2 days ago, but when i got home yesterday and turned my computer on it was working properly - settings intact. i used it for several hours, went to bed, turning the internet off, as i always do, and leaving pine player on. (it's not pine player causing the problem. i wasn't using it the other times) the computer never went into sleep mode, as per my settings... but after turning the internet back on this morning and opening firefox my settings are changed again.

After some time of using Firefox, opening Google somehow "breaks". Let me explain:

Upon starting FF, all works fine. After some time, however, say 5-10 minutes, when I click the URL bar and try to google something, nothing happens. If a page is already open, the browser will stay on this page. If I opened a new tab, the URL will change to the relevant google URL, but the actual tab won't change at all. Dev-Console shows an empty HTML page. It's not even attempting to load the page really, the network panel shows a single empty GET request to google and nothing more. Even if I try to go to google.com directly, nothing changes. Meanwhile, all other sites I tried (youtube, amazon, reddit, what have you) still load and behave normally. It's as if FF goes completely brain dead as soon and only if google is involved.

I can "circumvent" this by going to some other google product, say google docs, and then selecting google search in the "google apps" menu in the upper right. But the only way to "fix" it is to restart the browser entirely.

This only happens on the laptop provided by my employer and only since today. On my personal laptop, running the same version of FF with the same account and addons it works just fine. It even happens in troubleshoot mode with no addons running. Even a system restart doesn't fully fix this issue.

I'm really at a loss here, any help would be appreciated.

Last week attaching documents using drag and drop suddenly stopped working for Outlook webmail. I've seen the same problem posted here, but no response yet. Already tested, this feature still does work in outlook when using Safari, so there is some new incompatibility between outlook and firefox. I really do NOT want to change browsers as I've been using Firefox forever, but this is a deal breaker. Please please Firefox, show some evidence that this new apparent incompatibility is being fixed. Thanks!

p.s. this doesn't seem like it should be left to volunteers, is there a way for messages to reach someone who actually works for firefox?

Logged into https://www.expedia.com/ the home page tries to open but a second or two later I see a blank, white screen. I "Turned Enhanced protect off" Expedia page still blank I open GOOGLE and Expedia works perfectly

i recently want to check something in Firefox and noticed that in about:third-party where some modules were installed. I have no knowledge about these kind of stuff. There were like up to 10 modules with the sign that there were not signed.

So I wanted to check it on the next day. But these modules disappeared now.

The questions are: Is it normal that these modules disappear? Is it normal that some module are unsigned?

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance
