My computer recently had to reinstall windows, it kept most of my old files but all my firefox data was gone. How do I restore my old bookmarks? I found the windows.old file with the old firefox data in it, but I don't know where to go from there.

I had to reinstall FF (64 bit) on my Win 7 pro desktop after connectivity was lost for reasons that are unclear. I have a recent FF backup created with 'MozBackup' on a peripheral hard drive but don't see how o import that data into the newly installed FF.

2nd issue: My FF connectivity was lost after trying to follow a 'learn more' notice regarding the removal of the 'group tabs' function from FF. As I was investigating the connectivity problem on IE (which was working) I saw that a substitute for group tabs was available as an extension. Can you direct me to that? I used group tabs extensively!!

when on ebay all my other ebay pages are normal size but all selling page is very small and centre of screen and so is account so i cant read them how is this fixed my watch page and others are normal sixe full screen thanks

I have problem with my TESCO Online shopping account opening in Firefox.

After opening an order to update it the shopping list appears on righthand side for a few seconds and then disappears. I attempted to add another item but nothing appeared to happen. Rang Tesco's help line and they suggested trying Microsoft Internet Explorer. Did this and everything was ok - shopping list remained on screen and the item I had tried to add in Firefox was there when the list opened.

I have used Firefox previously to create a Tesco order with no problems.

In Options -> Content -> Fonts and Colors -> Colors > "Background Color" you can set the color of a blank page.

However, this does not affect the background color of a page If you open a link in a new tab.

(Try "Learn More" in about:privatebrowsing).

I'd be glad if you could refer me to the relevant code in the source files.

I recently downloaded from mozilla.org firefox 44.0 and I noticed after I opened up my browser that when I opened a new tab and typed in the search window then search thesmartsearch.net takes over the search. I never downloaded smartsearch . And when I use Microsoft Edge I never encounter this. Can help me get rid of this?

i have tabs that are open, could see all my tabs a bar that was under the bookmarks bar. i inadvertently went into full screen mode and when i came out all my tabs were hidden. they are still open but i can not see them. when i right click on the toolbar and then customize i can see them but when i close out of that they disappear again. i have disabled all my addons related to tabs. I checked the preferences for a setting. nothing i can do will show the tabs that i have open.

In the new firefox 44 application within inspector I noticed that now I see all my old styles showing up crossed out in particular the ones that are being over ridden by newer styles. While this is good to know, it's very annoying to have to hunt for the style i'm trying to edit is there a way to turn this off?

Headlines of boxes (topics) for my Yahoo home page have the last line cut in half. When I try to email something from the NYTimes to someone (I subscribe) the email button doesn't show in the box. When I shrink the font it doesn't help.

I have a I Mac. Trying to watch Direct TV through their site. Program keeps cutting off. Direct TV does not seem to have a answer.

Wondering if I need to have some time of add on or flash player or ? to prevent this from happening.

First of all, this question is repeated several times, but I wasn't able to respond because I don't have an account, so seems like from some stupid reason I need to open a new question in order to open one account.

Fresh installed Firefox 44 x64 on windows 7 x64.

I realized that somehow www.google.com website wasn't working even though other websites worked perfectly. The same website mentioned above worked correctly on IE.

When I turned off Kaspersky Internet security everything was working perfectly. After some tries I figured out that it was the Web Anti-Virus causing the problem, so what I did was:

Kaspersky > Settings > Web Anti-Virus > Advanced Settings > Configure trusted web sites > add as active:

http://www.google.co.uk/*

https://www.google.co.uk/*

You might need to Uncheck and Check again the "Check URLs" to take effect.
